I don’t get what the point is of having these people here to hear out the opposite point of view and not allow them to go through with it. Are they afraid of how heated the discussion might end up? Even though I don’t support illegal immigration, I completely agree that the immigration process needs to be changed to be more accessible and easier. It shouldn’t take years for people to go through that process.
yes this, as someone who was adopted and brought to usa, it took me 20 years and 4 lawyers to get my status and money wasnt a issue so why did it take me 20 years? the immigration system is so broken and does very little to nothing reason why people come illegally, its sad when its a lot easier to hide from immigration than to get status.
There are people who can't wait in line to be approved for a visa/green card. People who flee their country do to war or financial problems. People don't see the bigger picture, a piece of paper doesn't determine someone's values.
Its easy to immigrate if you are educated. The latino community is a perfect example of why we dont want uneducated people coming here. They become resentful and dont integrate.

Correct me if I'm wrong. - Most undocumented immigrants come from *planes* and not by crossing a border by foot. - Expired visa is also a problem. - Children eligible for DACA are screwed too. - Kicking out a lot of immigrants hurts the economy Possible solution(s) - DACA *eligible* participants access to citizenship - Immigration reform to allow better speed & efficiency via (computers & tech) Goal - More citizens - Less immigration errors - Efficiency of acquiring citizenship

I mean if their reputation depends on it they should watch carefully what they say. They don't know what's gonna be edited out and what's not so it wouldn't be jubilee's fault if their reputation got ruined. The people should know they're being watched by millions.

My assumption was that the immigrants were referring to the fact that colonists took over Native American lands in order for the USA to be founded. You can’t complain about your house having visitors when you were the one who stole it from its previous owner. “My house”...”your house?”.
@@quickloris4715 Of course that's what they meant, I'm saying I wanted to hear what was discussed after that.
If American territory is illegitimate, then every piece of so-called "personal property" (land) on it is also illegitimate. You can't legitimately sell/purchase something that was stolen. So I guess no one actually owns a house or land in this country and everyone can just eat, sleep and poop where they please. Laws don’t care about feelings

I need the uncut version of this. It's getting annoying that the debate gets cut off
Unbelievable. Dear Jubilee,
10:10-10:20 was featured in the preview but as soon as we get to that meaningful, emotionally-charged moment, you cut it off and move on to the next subtopic. Seriously? I thank you for covering these issues and I understand the conversations in these videos are quite extensive, but, your editor needs to do a better job allowing certain discussions to continue EVEN IF that means a longer video. I'm appreciative, but, I doubt I'm the only one who has noticed choppy editing at wrong times in these videos. Just make the videos longer, please.
Honestly!! They always do this
I would actually prefer a longer video
this isn’t cut i-
Agreed!!
@@karenc8618 It's almost like they did it on purpose...
They probably cut in to ask if she needs a break, then the editor cuts that part off because it's unprofessional and off-topic when you hear a director in the video.
Why are the discussions always cut when they get more heated?? We want to see how these conversations progress and how people refute the arguments!
exactly, like wtf?! the meat of the arguments were edited out..
Because they're on a time clock. When the bell buzzes Jubilee stops them and they walk back to the light
Because they dont want to offend the viewer's political beliefs. We all know Damn well that when cut those sections out, one arguement over powers the other. It should be left in, but the modern age we live in says that no one can have thick skin I guess
I agree. I like the idea of this channel but it needs to be longer and more in-depth. I hate the time constraints. Makes no sense.
@@VinchVideos That isn't enough of a reason to cut it short. You can contrast this to Crowder's stuff, and it's all unedited.

Dear Jubilee,
On controversial issues and very detailed topics, you should extent the video to at least 20 minutes or provide an unedited version. Some topics are far more complicated to fit into 4 or so questions, which 6 people discuss. In this video for example, a statement of empathy could be added, as well as more of the logistics of building this wall. How would they impact Americans? This was mentioned but very briefly.
Nonetheless, I love your work, please continue to these videos and also not forget that you can revisit the same topics. :)
^^
I 100% agree.
I'm offended about how "Johnathon" is spelled. It doesn't even make sense
His name came up when I read this comment 😂😂
I men im offende i am an american
Doll Steak ???
EXACTLY OMG FINALLY!!
I SPELL IT J-O-N-A-T-H-A-N
That’s how it’s spelled. The name originally came from yohanan and made its way throughout the Christian world. It’s speculation, but it most likely was johan (pronounced yohan) in Germany that got to England and they made John. It makes perfect sense considering it’s English and cough, rough, and through don’t rhyme. And rhyme itself, spelled with a y and an h.
Dear Jubilee- I'd love an extended edition for the people who want so much more of these. If you did even a few to test the waters you'd probably see there are a ton of people interested in seeing half hour or more videos especially on the really articulate and really interesting ones. There have been so many really respectful and eye opening middle grounds and they're just too short. They don't get to go nearly as deep into stuff as they could or half your viewers would love. If it's an algorithm thing then by all means keep giving us these condensed episodes but seriously - an extendamix test would be great.
When everyone started saying "who's house?" I was like "OOOOHH MAN THINGS ARE GETTING INTERESTING" and then they edited the argument out...😭

- Most undocumented immigrants come from *planes* and not by crossing a border by foot.
- Expired visa is also a problem.
- Children eligible for DACA are screwed too.
- Kicking out a lot of immigrants hurts the economy
Possible solution(s)
- DACA *eligible* participants access to citizenship
- Immigration reform to allow better speed & efficiency via (computers & tech)
Goal
- More citizens
- Less immigration errors
- Efficiency of acquiring citizenship
CODENAME PRINCE you’re correct!
Wrong. Only 42% of people come via plane and overstay their visa. The rest are all border jumpers.
70% get in by crossing the border on foot
You bring up some great points! I believe you have really great valves, however, most Illegal immigrants come through the boarder. While most immigrants from other countries such as Europe come by planes the majority of Mexican illegal immigrants came over via boarder crossing. Yes expiring visas is a problem. While immigrants do add to the economy, Illegal immigrants do not add anything to the economy, almost always tend to strain the economy. I hope this clears up some point!
Νychta most illegals do pay taxes though, so huh
Jazmina Isn’t even debating, she’s just bragging.
Bragging? You can tell she was hurt by losing her brother in law. I wouldn’t say she was bragging. I think she’s more frustrated then anything.
@@jennahyser7245 she was kind of bragging...? i’m sure she was hurt by losing her brother but her entire argument was that she made it here “through the legal process.” not many people can do that because of how tedious it is and how long it takes to be approved. it just seemed like she was really pushing that statement upon the undocumented individuals in this video
@@js1975s I thought she was saying that she worked so hard to do that so when illegal immigrants come across, it’s a slap in the face, pretty much what that guy said. Idk I didn’t take it as bragging 🤷🏻♀️
@@jennahyser7245 she worked hard i’m sure but the immigration system is selective. in reality, she got lucky. most immigrants can’t make it here legally because of the exclusivity of the immigration system. it’s very expensive and often takes 5-20 years for normal working class people to be approved. most people can’t afford this waiting period either, because they’re trying to escape their dangerous situations (the threat of death or extreme poverty is common for people trying to escape their countries). nobody who made it here legally was able to make it based on their own free choice, they were selected and approved by our very corrupt system. i’d say she wasn’t bragging if our system wasn’t as broken as it is. it’s not a slap in the face, people do what they have to do to survive. i’m a child of legal immigrants btw, i just understand how incorrect it is to say someone made it here based off of pure hard work.
@@jennahyser7245 Well her frustration definitely didn’t come out maturely but I get what you are saying and by all means I’m not a Biden supporter just saying lol.
I feel sorry for jazmin. She forgets her roots and where she came from and even prosecutes her own people. She does this because she wants to feel “accepted” by her white peers but at the end of the day they will use her as tokenism and one day she will most likely be insulted by the same people she is trying to be like. Con el nopal en la frentota.
¿Y qué tiene? Yo también soy mexicano (de Monterrey) y NO ACEPTO la invasión ilegal a NINGUN país.

What Julie said at 5:49 reminded me of the poem from Martin Niemöller:
"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out-because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out- because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak for me."
*History is repeating itself folks. Nap time is over*
It takes a very strong person to recognize that fault in themselves. She is very wise, and Martin Niemoller is too. Great comparison, perfectly captured the similarities between then and now.
Its happening in the opposite ways y'all think
They are trying to get rid of ILLEGAL immigrants. They arent coming for certain groups 1 after the other. They are trying to get rid of 1 specific group of people that are literally breaking the laws. We arent trying to kick out people that came here with a visa, or got it after, just people that come over without a visa, dont try to get one, or cant get one.
those lines honestly had me in awe, love that
Wow is not like illegal immigration was illegal this whole time.
GIVE US THE FOOTAGE FROM THE ARGUMENT ABOUT THE “WHO’S HOUSE?!” COMMENT!!!!!! Oh my god!
There is no such thing as a “citizens house”. It’s a mythical abstract concept. Immigration is not abstract. Immigration is real life. It involves individual physical locations. Houses are private property. The United States is not private property. So the question “who’s house” makes perfect sense to ask.
Vasil Svolopoulos there is no “in” because there is no house. Get it? Who’s house are you talking about? The country has millions of houses. Houses are private property. Who’s house?
@@firstlast9916 You do understand the "house" is a metaphor for the country, right?
Vasil Svolopoulos metaphors don’t justify the human rights violations we impose on real people with real lives. Moving to a real house with your actual family to work at a real job is more important than any metaphorical house that covers almost 4 million square miles.
Life is not imaginary. Real life has no imaginary houses or lines in the sand. Only people with individual goals and ambitions.
Vasil Svolopoulos within my family? My wife cannot go see her sick mother right now because of voters like you. I was separated from my mother for two years because of immigration backlogs. My cousin was deported because of a letter that customs found in his luggage that said “see you next year”.
Multiply those experiences times one billion and you will have your evidence. Freedom is not a privilege for superior humans. “Citizens” are not elevated people that deserve liberty. No human is inferior to other humans.
6:12 to 6:24 . "wasn't that America first? Isn't that why i'm here?" I felt that. as a student studying in my coloniser's country, i constantly have to remind people that i'm not here because i want to be. i love my home. i love my country. i'm aware that you do not want me but i'm here because of what you did and what you took away from me and my people. this is my way of trying to keep my head above the waters of the flood you created and then left behind.
