- The Toyota Tacoma is firmly established as one of the most reliable vehicles money can buy. They've earned an almost cult-like following, but does that mean they're the best mid-size pickup truck on the market? Nathan and Charlie take the TRD Off-Road trim for a test drive to find out.

You guys needs to familiarize yourselves with the vehicle before doing a review.
You seems to not know much about the product.
Today's midsize trucks are roughly the same size as full-sized trucks from around the 60's through the 80's or there abouts...
That is not what crawl control is for…
THE most overrated midsize truck! I test drove a Tacoma off-road and gladiator rubicon over Labor Day weekend. While the Gladiator is a little more expensive, it’s a much better truck.
The other thing to note is the third GEN Tacoma hasn’t been reliable as everyone claims, consumer report rates its reliability at just average, plus it’s had quite a few recalls over the years for a Toyota. The second gen were really reliable so everyone thinks that the third GEN is the same but it’s not.
you think a jeep/fiat/chrystler product is going to be more reliable? Let me know how that works out lol
@@jaywhitley6794 I never said that, read my comment again. I was simply pointing out that the new Tacoma isn’t as reliable as it used to be.
Just curios which feature(s) the 3rd gen is less reliable than the 2nd gen?
@@plbraveheart I ended up leasing a 2021 Tacoma TRD offroad last February, I’m nearing 8k miles. No reliability issues so far. It’s good offroad but sluggish to drive in the city, transmission still hunts. Poor mpg but I knew that already.
Some issues I heard about with the 3rd Gen are issues with 4x4 system engaging, rear diff leaks, driveshaft issues.
Predator steps are a much better look
Scratch the taco 🌮
You two lovebirds would probably be more comfortable in a Fiat convertible 👍😂
🤣🤣🤣
That friggen drone!
Were you two more comfy laying down in the back maybe?
Is crawl control the same as hill descent?
Running boards in general are the worst. If you can't get in your truck without them then maybe drive something else.
