    Tip for removing vents if they are difficult to remove. I just did this on my 2016 Fiesta. Here is a tip I found after doing the first vent for removing them at least with the 2016 model. If you lift up the bottom flap on the vent and look into the vent you can see the back side of the clips inside and use a screw driver to push up on the bottom tabs after inserting it between the rubber edge and the car wall (there are two on the top and bottom). This method allows one to see where the screw driver is (while keep the flap up) after inserting it through the bottom of the vent. Lifting the flap made it so much easier to remove the second vent after doing the first one the hard way.

    This is a great video. As someone who just started making youtube videos myself I really appreciate the amount of time and effort you went through to edit and shoot all the right angles to make this video. I always seems to rip the first tabs of this bumper, even when I use a clip tool.

      Thank you so much for the kind words! Yeah those tabs are a PITA. I was able to get it off cleanly the first time, but I had to remove it two more times to diagnose an interior water leak and that must've weakened them further.

    Hi guys hope all is well,just to say I followed this same method fixing a broken bracket & the water leak, doing this method worked brilliant, one thing I did find for a bit more security & peace of mind was after the rivets where fitted, I used some sealant to go over them just to be sure they are water tight, it’s worked so far with no issues & no further sighting of water, trust the process just be methodical 🙏,

    Great video man! Do you have tips on removing the lower trim from the bumper cover? I'm getting a new bumper cover and want to see what will be required to swapping it out, looks like the lower bumper skirts need to be 3M VHT'd back on.

    know if you can get bracket replacement for where the diffuser attaches ? (the black part above the hex pattern). I may have made an extremely minor oopsie into a tree one night and the tab furthest to the right is gone - sags just in that one spot and its killing me -dont wanna have to fork out for a full new diffuser/bumper for one tab :(

      I believe you can - I bought a replacement for the reflector through an online Ford dealer, and it seemed like they had most replacement parts available!

    Your torque info for the wheel lugs is incorrect. Torque specs on them is 100ft/lbs.

  • @csmanuel86

    Great video!
    Why the unusual lug nut torque range? Spec is 100 ft-lb

    • @speedygarage264
      @speedygarage264  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! This was a mistake on my part - the shop that did my tire install and wheel balancing told me it was 75-85, so I believed it until I did a bit more research. 100 ft/lb is correct.

    • @jgrimsta
      @jgrimsta 2 роки тому

      @@speedygarage264 The original tinfoil lugnuts cant really handle the 100 ft/lbs though....and I remember testing out the original lugnut "tool" that came with a Fusion my mom had once.....it was made of the same tinfoil, but since that car had steelies it also had proper steel lugnuts, one could simply not get the tires of with the original tool even if your life actually depended on it. On a positive the tool flew really really well though, must be about the farthest I've EVER thrown anything into the woods lol

    12:13 do not do this
    use your hand to push the bumper towards the front of the car and the sides will bow out , then it will easily slot into place without scratching your car or breaking anything
    also the bumper comes off easily with the right technique, on the sides with clips grab and pull kinda upwards
    i took the taillights out, but its not necessary

    Can someone give me the size of the rivets to attach the brackets please ?
    Got 2 new brackets but no hardware to attach them and want to go there only once.
    Thank you.

    I have a hump in the middle section (under the license plate) of the bumper after body shop repaired the car from a rear-end collision. Brought it back and they said it was "normal" due to summer weather and there was nothing they can do about it. There is an air gap, you can push the hump down until it meets the reinforcement, and it'll look flush with the door gap. But you let go and there's that hump again. I don't believe this is normal, as the body shop insists. The video doesn't show any clips or tabs that would hold the middle section in place, do you remember if there were any?

    Great video, but did you seriously just put jack stands on the pinch welds @ 0:32?

    • @speedygarage264
      @speedygarage264  Рік тому

      I've never had an issue with using my jack stands here - pinch welds have not been damaged at all. Although, I imagine one could use various parts of the subframe. I wouldn't lift the entire car (front & rear) using the pinch welds, but for just lifting the rear a few inches, I feel that this is perfectly safe. Ford including those removable panels in front of each pinch weld for this purpose tells me that they trust that one could safely lift the car using them.
      Hope the video was helpful!

    Please write Mk7 in the title. Most of us own a Fiesta Mk6 and this is misleading.

    • @shanebreezy4453
      @shanebreezy4453 2 роки тому

      No dude. Most of us do not own a mk6. In fact, barely anybody does. Mk7 fiestas are what anybody thinks of then they hear "Fiesta" ... there's a reason 90% of the fiesta videos on UA-cam are for mk7's. Get with the times. 🤦‍♂️

    • @Albanez39
      @Albanez39 2 роки тому

      @@shanebreezy4453 Yes we do. I'm part of multiple Fiesta groups on Facebook and Whatsapp, and there are a lot more people in the mk6 groups. Mk7 videos and posts are popular because AMERICA. They never had the mk6, but received the mk7.
      So, please allow me to own and look for mk6 videos because it's a better car than its newer version. It is obviously subjective, but I prefer a smaller car with a powerful engine than these modern hatchbacks which are just huge and ugly.
