We started making this at the beginning of May... It was a huge ammount of work because we really like to be precise and detailed in our editing style both the visual and audio side. As you can hear the music is also done so that it goes right with the scenes that are shown in the given moment. We decided to ignore the Kenobi series (except for the flashback scene) because we simply can not take it seriously at all and this video is based specifically on the Expanded Universe + Canon version of Obi-Wan Kenobi which is practically the same. Clone Wars is technically both EU and Canon, and we believe that Star Wars Rebels, Bad Batch, Fallen Order and a few comics here there from canon are worthy stories to be inducted into the Eu timeline which is why we brought it full circle as you can see. It's the way we do things on the channel because Headcanon is the best canon ;)
Though I don’t agree with your views of the Disney plus shows I’m glad you guys seem to enjoy rebels and the bad batch. Those shows seem to be overhated and nice to see you guys enjoy it. On a side note will you be seeing the new andor series and are you hyped to see it’s potential. I mean if you did enjoy rogue one
@@lo9893 Honestly we stopped getting hyped a long time ago. We are looking forward to the animted stuff in general though, but thats about it since we don't really have any expectations from disneys live action stuff, althought they've shown they were good when they do their won characters instead of legacy ones like they did with Rogue One. Our prediction would be that because of that Andor might be the best out of the live action shows simply because of that.
@@TheScoundresCantina Andor is written by the guy who wrote Rogue One and who saved the film from disaster Tony Gillroy. It’s kind of ironic how he doesn’t even care about Star Wars but he’s the person who respected it the most ( aside from Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau). I know you said you aren’t hyped for the live action shows but do you have any hopes for the Ahsoka series not only it is written by Dave filoni but it is set after Star Wars rebels and continues the search of Ezra and Grand Admiral thrawn.
One thing I do like to commend you is despite having a huge subscriber count you still take your time responding to the fans and you have remained respectful to other people opinions which I don’t see that often

Which makes him the greatest duelist besides sidious and Yoda maybe.
Force power he's not that good
Obi-Wan is the perfect Jedi. I don't believe Obi-Wan gave up against Vader because he thought he was gong to lose. He looked and saw Luke and realized Luke wasn't going to leave without him so he sacrificed himself to ensure Luke's escape.
That's always been my interpretation too. He had wisdom by then to know that Luke was the hope for the Republic, not himself and made the ultimate sacrifice to give them a fighting chance.

Probably feared Luke would never forgive him for killing his father, but he told Yoda, he wouldn't kill Anakin.
George stated that Obi-Wan was dominating the duel with Vader so overwhelmingly that Vader couldn't use the force at all.
He’s the epitome of fairly talented, immense persistence and endurance, continually training as well as decades of wide arrays of incorporated experience turning him into the poster boy example of a Veteran. Just like a Centurions leading Legionnaires in the Roman army.
Also he has a secret weapon which was implied in the Kenobi Part V Obi vs Anakin flashback scenes. Anakin was supremely talented but unbalanced by his aggression, need for victory & desire to continuously acknowledged. So he was susceptible to negative emotions which unbalanced him. Obi-Wan had to work hard to be a great Jedi but had a great work ethic & will. His secret sauce was he always even keeled & balanced which helped give him supreme focus. The flashbacks implied this but we saw it all in action during their final fight in Part 6. Vader was thrown off balance while Obi-Wan remained utterly focused & balanced which is why Obi-Wan reigned supreme once again.
He was not talented he as hard working with a mindset like kobe who also was not talented just incredibly hard working to the point of obsession
I appreciate Kenobi more as an adult now. Seeing as when you get older you're not as energetic as you are in your youth so you have to think more strategically and defensively to keep up with much more powerful threats. What a great character and amazed at how long he lasted as a warrior.
All time rankings in terms of jedi I'd put him in the top 5 including everything mentioned in the video. Force abilities, Lightsaber, and IQ what he lacks in force he exceeds hugely in tatics and combat. His feats are also amazing.

Despite having low midichlorian count, Obi Wan turned out to be extremely skilled with the force through sheer techniques and strength of will.
Becoming one with the force should eliminate his physical limitation. But alas, he couldn't interfere much with the physical plane - maybe that's not the will of the force.
Just imagine what Anakin could have become had he actually learned everything from him.

@@Shinra-123 I'm not sure where did you get that from. He intend for Obi Wan to be someone to be admired, not someone to fanboy over because of how powerful they are innately. According to the official novel: Master & Apprentice. he had low count. But that does not mean he is weak, as that is not the only factor. Also, that's the beauty of the Legends. And that's exactly why, just because he is powerful, does not mean he has high count. the count is a big piece of the puzzle, not the whole picture.
I get that Disney's cannon makes him out to be something to fanboy over because of how powerful he is, especially at the end of Obi Wan show.
What's important is that he became one of the most powerful Jedi in both versions, but in Legends, his hard work was a lot more emphasized, while it was something else in Disney's cannon, and even if what you said is true, because i never found a real source, nor did I become interested; there're various sources online with different lists.
i've never seen any of them that says Obi is higher than Dooku tho, he's a below that. like this one claiming to be the achieve from the new jedi order: Yoda at 18.8k, Mace at 16.8k, Tyrannus at 14k and Obi Wan at 12.5k). But clearly he's slightly above most inquisitors and equal to a very few of the grand inquisitors
mostly its established that high tier is ~18k, like Bane and Plagueis (Sidious at ~22k in the Dark Empire).
Most Jedi Masters at ~14k, including Tyrannus who was never famous because of it, so i guess that's mid tier. and some grand inquisitors at ~12k. meaning he's below mid by this standard. but still higher than inquisitors, (even some grands) which are pretty much trash compared to Vader (~17.5k). Inquisitors are similar to sith assassins as they're only effective at hunting and killing because they're so focused at doing the tasks, and not the other aspects of the force. that's what makes Obi Wan shines even more when compared to them, based on Midichlorian count.

@@bluebearie7230 I’ve also seen various sources of midichlorian counts and the most reliable one was created by a known Star Wars novel creator that makes canon novels and she states obi wan clocks in at 13.500 dooku clocks at 13.400 mace clocks at 13.500 Luke 14.000 and Vader 20.000 and yoda 14.500 like I said these aren’t canon its just legends legends isn’t canon

I'd like to think Obi Wan is weak like in the books and he uses his intellect, knowledge, and wisdom to defeat his more powerful enemies.
I can never view him as weak lol he is also very skilled in defense.

He was powerful enough to take down a sith assassin(Darth Maul), and the chosen one his apprentice and his second encounter with his apprentice again(in Kenobi tv show)
I hate how everyone think obiwan barley had enough midiclorians to be a Jedi. He had barely enough to be an ELITE JEDI. Whitch is between 13,000-15,000 midiclorians. So he had around 13,300

I don't know. I think as time went on Obi-wan ONLY got MORE powerful. Sure, he wasn't initially talented as a child but through his perseverance and dedication to his training he would go to become one of the most powerful Jedi to have existed.
As Old Ben maybe his lightsaber skills became a bit rusty but there's no way his Force powers waned. Remember Yoda gave him two tasks. Watch over Luke Skywalker and train in the Force and learn how to become a Force ghost. With Force Ghost (dunno the official name of the technique) being one of the most powerful and difficult ability to learn. Also note that he's NEVER really lost to Vader. Even at his old age he was able to hold off Vader for a significant amount of time. And even then at the end of their final duel, Obi-wan willingly merged with the Force and pretty much went out on his own terms.
I also very strongly dislike the Kenobi series and what they added to the story. I think the fights between Obi-wan and Vader in that series actually just more harm to their story and relation that not having those events. So in my head canon that shit don't exist.

So, in my opinion, obi wan learned form four from the second master to yoda qui gonnjinn. So he was an expert here, which is an offensive, agile almost Muhammad Ali way of fighting. He beat darth maul using this style, and implemented vapad letting his anger take physical control while maintaining his most powerful weapon, his sharp Jedi mental control.
Seeing his master fall to form fours weakness in defending the avid omen, he became THE BEST form three defensive style. So let me rephrase this as obi wans skill set:
Speed: A
Power: A-
Force: C+
Block: A+
Force dodge : A+
Battle Iq: A
Counter: A+
High ground: game over
He was fucking over powered, literally just slightly below prime anakin, however, way smarter.
Because Obi Wan wasnt strong with the force, I think he wouldve been perfect for Vaapad. He never was lured by the darkside. He wouldve been able to handle it. He used a sith technique in Anakin and still showed Mercy.

You know what makes me sad? There isn’t a single character that I don’t like from the prequel or original trilogy. Like you look at Obi wan, mace windu, Anakin, Yoda, Darth maul, Darth vader, Luke, emperor, Jengo and boba fett, Jaba the hurt, the clones, the empire… etc etc so many many more. Then you look at the fucking sequel trilogy and there deadass is not a single character I actually think is even kinda likable…. It’s so sad, like Kylo is kinda cool and well.. that’s it really lol. Not Kenobi series level. For a SW lore addict , disney Tar Wars makes no sense. Luke's power level in the EU are novel fanmade fiction levels of power.
After Rey power in SW is like the power levels of heros by comic writer.
By new standards, Yoda isn't one of the most powerful jedi in the Order's history, he's a puny old green midjet.

I'm a bit annoyed over UA-cam's recent video policy as I discovered your channel from the Kenobi / Anakin training scene, and haven't seen another of your videos since. I had to backtrack and actually look up your channel to watch more of what you guys do. The brightside to this is that I sort of understand how UA-cam reccomendations sort of work in July of 2022 now..

@@TheScoundresCantina Oh yeah I get that! A few months ago was the end of UA-cam lumping me for years with people who I had shared only one thing in common: the content itself. (I hate to call it this, but this is what it was) Propaganda pushing surrounding the platform ensured that that conflict was ever present. And, my social life is pretty much the internet, so I almost lost my personal views due to how much freaking peer pressure I faced oof.
But yeah. I'll be praying. God has a way of making what is insignificant to the world more significant than any athiest can oppose. That is one of many incredible parts of being with Him. The darker the room, the brighter the candle shines. Churches who have had less than 10 attendees who love God have started nationwide revivals that no one can deny.
If you're interested, I would recommend you read "God's Smuggler" at some point. I recently picked it up myself, but man is it potent. I also have a practice of picking a random chapter of the Bible and ask God to show me what He wants me to read. 9 times out of 10 it will apply to my situation that day and it's insane lol.
