- Can You Feel My Heart is one of the most acclaimed and beloved metalcore tracks of the 2010's, from one of the most famous metalcore albums of the 2010's, Sempiternal. Bring Me the Horizon have had a habit of being a blunt band with very minimalistic and straightforward lyrics. But within this track, there is a pretty well-hidden meaning that doubles over as a half-self discovery/acceptance track, half religious push and pull, with a very relatable poeticism of trying to come to grips with your screams out not feeling answered.

I always found it weird Can You Feel My Heart? was the choice of song for the chad meme, when it's literally about being the opposite of a chad.

I've been saying that the gigachad meme seemed really strange to me considering Oli Syke's ketamine addiction, but it seems like BMTH is in on the joke at least, so there's that. I remember looking into Crooked Young specifically, and I've heard people interpret it as a criticism of using religion as a solution for drug addiction, like alcoholic anonymous.
I remember listening to Can You Feel My Heart on repeat in like 2018 or so when I was going through a lot (I think around when that meme was taking off), just for a few years later to say that to a online friend that I liked that track and get recommended the rest of their discography, and I kind of regret not digging in sooner.
Oh absolutely, it seemed like people were using a very personal song as that but...tbh, it's not the first and won't be the last time TikTok/UA-cam/Twitter adopt unfitting stuff for a meme or something, such is how it goes lmao.
But definitely! I remember when I first got into BMTH in the Suicide Season to There Is a Hell era, I was very unaware of a lot of how deep their lyrics run since their reputation was always very much blunt and 'immature' at times, so it's awesome to see how much goes into these tracks!

@TheMetalTempestYT I love heavy and can handle some pitches of screaming. But I'm sensitive to certain pitches. Saw an ear doctor and apparently my right ear drum is slowly disintegrating. I figure that why high pitched screaming bothers me. Babies crying is brutal. So are small dogs barking. Oh well. C'est la vie. 🤷♂️
