I have both the FX Pro and the GT NEO and love them both. I use the FX Pro for F1, LMP and other formula cars and the NEO for all my GTs, Touring cars etc. What I miss when using the NEO is the ability to change my FFB settings on the fly on the LED screen, but other than that, I really don't look at the screen. It's much easier to check the on-screen wheel settings and less likely to make a mistake by having to take your eyes off the track. The quality is obviously somewhat better with the FX Pro, with its Carbon fiber face plate, carbon fiber paddles and aluminum body. The small increase in width of the GT does make a big difference too. The GT NEO, as the name suggests, is intended and designed for GT style cars and the FX Pro for Formula style cars.
Mate the gt Neo is perfect for even formula car since it’s so light. 290mm vs 300mm so I don’t know how u feel that 300mm is so much bigger then the 290mm…. Your not making sense in that regard if I have got the right idea
You would be surprised after using both of them, how different they feel. I didn't say it's So much bigger, I said, the small increase in size makes a big difference, which it does. 300mm is generally regarded as Big, as most real F1 wheels are 270mm to 280. With sim racing, Fanatec's Formula wheel I had was 270mm as an example. You can do formula racing with a larger round wheel, but it won't feel the same! @@Max__apex
I want to get a formula rim. I have the Neo already. It’s interesting you don’t look at the screen much. Would it be worth it going with the FX-C instead?
@@mikemophoto It's a hard one, as the FX Pro does have many additional features that the FX C doesn't. Additional paddles, additional rotary encoder and even though I don't use the screen to monitor anything when driving, I do use it to adjust FFB, which is handy. I do also like the rev limiter lights on the FX Pro, which I don't think the FX C has any.
I just got a Neo it's my first Simagic wheel, and I love it Is going to replace my Cube Controls GT Zero s my daily rim, the customization with Simhub is endless option, oh yea Im using it with Maglink on fanatec dd2 video on my channel of first drive POV, keep up the good work
That’s awesome to hear! Yes the rim with SimHub you can do much more customization than what SimPro Manager allows. Maybe in the near future Simagic works with SimHub folks for the FX Pro dash support while wired in.. I know SimPro Manager has some great Dashes but it can’t compete with something like Lovely Dashboard..
Can confirm that the gt neo is better then the FX in use more responsive and a lot more comfortable to hold. Gt NEO is an amazing rim🎉 Glad I got the GTS and GT NEO for price of the FX alone
I love love my gt neo, but i bought the fx pro and wow the quality is insane. I still know the gt neo is plastic its great for the price as everyone says but it is not a flagship wheel. Its still plastic and the shifters are downgraded. The knobs are downgraded even the rotaries are downgraded. I want people to be realistic here. As stated the gt neo is a fantastic budget wheel. Great quality for a wheel in general. But when you feel the fx pro you can feel the corners cut for the price. Anynoyd in the ecosystem who wants a flagship wheel get the fx pro anynody who just wants a great whele for a great price get the gt neo. I think people are getring a bit out of hand on the gt neo making it so people get it and go oh its plastic begause almost nobody mentions its not real cf its a composite of plastic. Again great budget wheel but people are setting real consumers expectations to high. Alot of consumers dont get to feel alot of wheels so to them they dont know what to expect.
Hello! Yes, if you want to customize the LEDs within SimHub you need the cable. Simagic rims connect to the base wirelessly, it only gets power from the base but the connection itself is wireless. So there isn’t a way (at least for now) to get that info over to SimHub wirelessly.
Great video mate. What I've been trying to find is some more detail on the pre baked dashes in the pro. Specifically the dash for the Mercedes W12/W13 in iRacing. Do you know of anywhere where people can get an in depth look at this?
Hey Luke! So since the FX Pro only works with Simagics Software for now, you’re at their dash mercy. As far as the “F1 dash” they provide, it’s not a replica to the Mercedes one but they do have one that’s quite useful for F1 cars in general. I’m sure it has to do with licensing, would have to pay Mercedes a ton to include that..!

Great point you made on being able to adjust the FFB with the screen! Definitely a nice plus on the FX Pro!

Which do you find to be the more ergonomic steering wheel for performance though?
Every signle person I've seen has mentioned the plastic hybrid material on the GT Neo lol...
Nice video again!!! These look friggin' great.
I didn't realize it was you when I clicked, but instantly recognized that voice! Ha! Nice video
It’s meee! 😂 Thanks! Hope it answered a few questions… 🙂
Hello, great video! I am buying Simagic Alpha with Gt neo. Do I need to buy the cable for gt neo if I want to customize the wheel in Simhub?

Thanks for the answer!
The Wireless protocol used in Simagic wheels are simply 2.4Ghz wireless and not Bluetooth
Thanks for the info! I had gotten the Bluetooth reference from one of their support chats. But appreciate it!

The carbon fiber is more better, unless you plan on using this on a submarine down on the Titanic.
I guess we won’t really know until we see titanium rims…
Hahahahahaha
Nice!
