I like it. Probably the best I've seen for the price. I'm currently doing my research on what to buy as I want to to get into sim racing. I'm looking at simucube as my base so I'm gutted this wheel is only compatible with simagic 😔. How do the simagic bases compare to simucube? The Alpha mini is actually quite well priced and is 15nm which should be plenty.
The Alpha mini is rated 10nm even if the motor is round 13nm ! The Alpha 15 is the middle choice they have and the 23nm Alpha Ultimate is the bigger brother which is absolutely awesome and almost indistinguishable from my SC2 pro ! At the end of the day will be up to you if 10nm will be enough and from my experience for me personally for every day use and most of the cars is absolutely enough, but is always good to have some extra room 😁
Wow, 1700 g is very heavy for a full carbon body. Is the back really carbon? The Rexing Formula weighs only 1.100 g with LCD and same diameter of 290 mm. Ok, that's without QR, but the Simagic QR can't weigh 600 g!? The Rexing doesn't flex noticeably, btw. Anyway, great looking wheel, Simagic represents real competition so all other manufacturers must work harder!
It is carbon indeed and I just meager the QR as you trigger my curiosity and it weigh 415g I guess the 6 aluminum shifters behind wiring at least 120g each ! Also the silicone they use is on the heavy side as I know that material! It looks like they go for carbon case to not go over 2kg 🙈
I just meager the CSX 3 Cube Control with all 3 shifters and same QR which have aluminum case but carbon and plastic shifters and weight 1655g I guess the board can be heavier or have some extra structure inside to keep It more rigid! When Simaracing Garage open it we will see I guess 😃
@@chepilevski thanks very much for all the info ... between the csx 3 and this fx pro , what you choose if can have only one ? which have better materials , screen , grip , shifters ? really apreciate all you do for this simracing world , you are a true inspiration .
For now I’ve tested on iRacing and ACC and on blind test I wouldn’t be able to recognize in which base I drive ! Particularly on iRacing I can this feels like bit smoother wen I turn the filter down and what impressed me the most , on 23nm completely maxed out in game and wheel settings the Alpha U FFB never clipping and never see red line ! I haven’t seen that in any base till now 😯
@@chepilevski Thanks ! Probably not going to use the Full FF but good to hear tbh just one thing i heard bad about them (SC2) is a clicking noise which seemed common in 2021 versions don't know if they changes them now
@@Luca.Caligari the SC2 is noisy on the settings I prefer to use it but I’m wearing headphones and never hear that !The alpha is quite but still crests some stale noise! Bot are super smooth in those harsh settings I use !
I’m about to buy a Simagic Mini and deciding on either the FX-C (wheel without the screen or GT-C). Thinking the FX is more versatile as it can do both GT and Formula! You said 290mm feels good for GT cars? The GTC rim Is 325mm.
@@chepilevski I thought I’d drive open wheelers but I still haven’t yet 🤷🏻♂️ be interesting to get your views on their new GTC rim and if the size/design is better/worse/different. Thanks for the video!
@@rover1374 I have the GT hub and attached 320mm D shape porsche wheel to it and feels great ! But for GT cars I would prefer cut wheel on the top ! I try 300mm cut wheel but doesn’t fit ! The hub itself is absolutely awesome!
I’m testing the Alpha U and I need to spend some time with it before give full opinion but for now in iRacing and ACC they feel like the same wheel ! Simucube 2 pro is proven deal but if we can save something and get the same experience will be even better 😃 If you have patience in 2-3 weeks I will be able to form fully my opinion!
@@ffdfdfdfdfdfdfdf the SC2 will be 2 years warranty and is is with one but they won’t be the same price! This is 300 € cheaper and have great wheels options to save some more cash ! If prices is the same , SC2 is proven and this here is new product!
Just got mine 2 days ago and love it! Only thing is there is a squeaky noise coming from the left handle. It's not horrible but definitely noticeable on high torque turns. Should I be worried? Anyone else have this problem?
Hey buddy, happy to hear you like it ! I just checked mine to hear if there is any noise and there is zero in mine ! Hope you will push it hard and let us know if there is any further issue! Check in the forums if anyone have the same problem and if not will be good to talk with your dealer! Let us know how it goes buddy !
Hey buddy, that is easy comparison! The FSR mod great wheel but the FX-Pro is is better for sure! FX-Pro has better grips, better Screen in terms of sharpness , better dashes with flags , 2 more shifters on the back which can be very useful, and telemetry on the buttons! It is of course bit more expensive but is one of the wheels on the market which deserves every penny! That being said, can be used only with the Simagic DD bases and the FSR can be used with any base with little extra cost for the hub which makes it usb stand alone unit !
Hey I was wondering if I can connect this wheel on my MOZA R12 is it the same QR? I know you have a USB slot aswell. Since this review is 1 year old I was wondering if it is possible now.
That USB connection is just for loading new firmware buddy! It doesn’t works only with USB and unfortunately it won’t be compatible with other ecosystems 😕 I hope they will do at some point USB compatible wheel for everyone out there as those wheels are really good quality 💪
Make sure to take those from authorized dealer and not from random eBay or Aliexpress reseller! Warranty is from the dealers , so if something goes wrong you don’t want headache ! Many companies send there products to be tested and give option and right now I have the new line from Simagic , Some of the Moza and Camus ! They all compete in the industry and trust my opinion as a user with some experience in Simracing 🤛
Not sure if this was asked before but with the new maglink that is now available, does that mean this wheel can now work with other third party dd bases: i.e. mounted to a Moza base? Has anybody tested this? And the screen, is it compatible with most games on the market or only a few? If so which ones?
Honestly, the Alpha U in the settings I prefer The bases match one to one my SC2 pro and even can get more torque without clipping on iRacing and I scratch my head about how they achieve that 😯
Ah no bro , I will skip that generation! I don’t have reason as the 3090 gives me everything I need right now and I will keep it till next Gen if I move to 4k monitors ! Ei will probably build new system with the next Gen ! First time for years I really don’t see reason to change as there is no need for the sim’s I use 😃
For now the alpha U it gives the same and even in some cases better performance from my SC2 on iRacing which I try to understand how is even possible and how they achieve that ! For example the Alpha can use the entire power of 23nm without clipping and that’s impossible for my SC ! In ACC they feel the same but I’m not expert of that sim anyway! On AMS I struggle to find any decent settings from the Alpha U 🤔 Lot’s of testing ahead before I come with full conclusion but for now on iRacing which is my favorite sim and I use it for 11 + years I feel like I already prefer the Alpha U ! That’s crazy 🙈
Guys, tell me if it's possible to ride simucube 2 sport without a button plate, just put on the rim without buttons and shifter, will true drive allow you to install the firmware on the base and play
@@chepilevski Hello! I thought Simagic wheels were compatible with other wheel bases, if connected via USB. Just need to remove the wheel base QR, and replace it with a simucube one. Boosted Media did it with a few of Simagic's wheels ua-cam.com/video/i9AVzBHyZe8/v-deo.html
@Race Beyond Matter... I currently have a Thrustmaster T300 with stock pedals. I'm looking to get into DD. I'm considering Moza or the mini from Simagic. Is there anything else I should be looking at. Also, what is a good set of pedals that would be an upgrade that aren't the most expensive?
Those two options are great and you must see which you prefer from esthetic point of view without letting other people involve into your personal taste as you will be the one who will enjoy that! Both , Simagic and Moza have really good prices for what they offer and only Camus is bit cheaper but I will test that in the upcoming month and report if is that good ! Because you are going for big i vestment and pedals are expensive equipment there is one very budget friendly option which can get you almost everything you need and later in the road you can always choose something better ! Check that video here buddy ua-cam.com/video/17NyoqcErAY/v-deo.html
@@chepilevski Thanks! I actually watched that video earlier today. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to build those pedals correctly. I'll have to look into them more. I was thinking something more that is ready out of the box. Something else I need to consider for the wheelbase is if it can be mounted to my rig. I have a cheaper rig I bought of Amazon. The t300 base fit fine but I'm concerned some of these DD ones may not. I'll figure it out. What fo you think is more important?... upgrading to DD or upgrading pedals?
@@bluebatracing208 the other budget friendly are the CSL Elite from Fanatec but I can’t comment on that as I haven’t ever tested those ! Simagic and Moza can be attached from the bottom and you may need just to make few new holes on your rig !
SimHub is powerful program in which some people have the patience to tweak things to the perfection but then some people don’t care much about that. We still can tweak some of the settings in SimPro manager from Simagic and get some of the effects and warnings. In little words, SimHub give more freedom and that can be dealbreaker for some people 🤛
The flex in this shape will always be there and I haven’t asked why they choose to let the wheel open on the bottom but I believe must be esthetic choice! That silicone handles are soft and make that flex even more pronounced front and back but in use there is no flex at all trough the rotational nature! That being said, there is no way anything can broke as that is only carbon fiber material and injected molding silicone! I hope other owners will give there personal experience with this and say if they have any problem with that 🤔

@@chepilevski do you know if there is a big difference between the alpha and the alpha ultimate in terms of the feeling of force feedback?
Love your content man, from USA
Much love buddy 🍻
I just meager the CSX 3 Cube Control with all 3 shifters and same QR which have aluminum case but carbon and plastic shifters and weight 1655g
I guess the board can be heavier or have some extra structure inside to keep It more rigid!
When Simaracing Garage open it we will see I guess 😃
@@chepilevski I like your curiosity! 🙂👍 You're probably right, the QR and the shifters/clutches will make for quite some weight.
@@driflysh4597 yeh man , those shifters are chunky aluminum parts and 6 of those + the magnets must add some weight!
@@chepilevski thanks very much for all the info ... between the csx 3 and this fx pro , what you choose if can have only one ? which have better materials , screen , grip , shifters ? really apreciate all you do for this simracing world , you are a true inspiration .
Thanks to you. Now I got the fx pro. Lol..
🙈🙈🙈
Sorry brother but hey , we don’t spend for gear but in our happiness 😁
You will love it man 💪
Another beauty. 👏 must be a joy to drive. 😊
It is very comfy indeed bro 😃
Looks like i'm about to wait before ordering the simucube pro 😅 What are your thoughts ?
@@chepilevski Thanks! I'lll probably still use headphones too
I’m about to buy a Simagic Mini and deciding on either the FX-C (wheel without the screen or GT-C). Thinking the FX is more versatile as it can do both GT and Formula! You said 290mm feels good for GT cars? The GTC rim
Is 325mm.
That size feels awesome for GT cars but I don’t drive open wheelers at all anyway 🙈
Just wondering why is it so hard for any brand to make their wheel just a standalone all base compatible product via usb?
I believe firs is business policy and the other part is they mostly make it wireless compatible and the electronics match there bases.
So the display will not work properly if i play iracing and drive the f1 car? No leds light when in DRS zone and no battery ers show on display?
hi mate.. been following channel and ur advice. do i buy sim magic or simucube pro 2??
I’m testing the Alpha U and I need to spend some time with it before give full opinion but for now in iRacing and ACC they feel like the same wheel !
Simucube 2 pro is proven deal but if we can save something and get the same experience will be even better 😃
If you have patience in 2-3 weeks I will be able to form fully my opinion!
@@chepilevski thank u. if both are the same price, is simucube 2 pro probably still better buy ?
@@ffdfdfdfdfdfdfdf the SC2 will be 2 years warranty and is is with one but they won’t be the same price! This is 300 € cheaper and have great wheels options to save some more cash ! If prices is the same , SC2 is proven and this here is new product!
@@chepilevski thank u what is best new wheel for me to buy with sc2? F28-SC or the takho?
@@ffdfdfdfdfdfdfdf I don’t know buddy, I have heard the best things for Asher but don’t have experience with them !
It looks like Moza and Simagic uses the same supplier
Just got mine 2 days ago and love it! Only thing is there is a squeaky noise coming from the left handle. It's not horrible but definitely noticeable on high torque turns. Should I be worried? Anyone else have this problem?
Hey buddy, happy to hear you like it !
I just checked mine to hear if there is any noise and there is zero in mine !
Hope you will push it hard and let us know if there is any further issue!
Check in the forums if anyone have the same problem and if not will be good to talk with your dealer!
Let us know how it goes buddy !
@@chepilevski yes I certainly will. Maybe it just needs to be broken in.
Hey Chad, i have the same issue with the wheel. Have you solved the problem and how?
HI BRO~Could you please compare the difference between FX PRO and FSR?
which of the two do you recommend
Have you tried the FX, the one without a screen?
I would guess the quality is the same...?
The handles are different and bit more softer with more flex but the rest is just the same!
I never tested it but I’ve watched few videos !
@@chepilevski Tnx m8
It's such a shame, Simmagic makes such good steering wheels, but the usb connection is so poorly done that I won't be buying one.
That USB connection is just for loading new firmware buddy!
It doesn’t works only with USB and unfortunately it won’t be compatible with other ecosystems 😕
I hope they will do at some point USB compatible wheel for everyone out there as those wheels are really good quality 💪
⚠️ ⚠️⚠️ GSI HYPER P1!!!😍
Just got mine today but still waiting for the alpha mini😭 and can’t play before that
Hope you will receive it soon brother
@@chepilevskiI got the alpha U and FX pro.
The base is awesome but after few days i have these weird cracking noises from the handles in fx pro :///
Where do you buy this wheel or do you get it free
Make sure to take those from authorized dealer and not from random eBay or Aliexpress reseller! Warranty is from the dealers , so if something goes wrong you don’t want headache !
Many companies send there products to be tested and give option and right now I have the new line from Simagic , Some of the Moza and Camus ! They all compete in the industry and trust my opinion as a user with some experience in Simracing 🤛
Why can’t this be used on other wheel bases via USB?
That is something I really hope we can push Simagic to do for the community! This wheel can be huge success for every user out there and them 🙈
Not sure if this was asked before but with the new maglink that is now available, does that mean this wheel can now work with other third party dd bases: i.e. mounted to a Moza base? Has anybody tested this?
And the screen, is it compatible with most games on the market or only a few? If so which ones?
I don’t think is possible with that wheel buddy
@@chepilevski thank you
can this be used with fanatec pedals?
Ich glaube die Pedale kannst du einfach seperat am Pc benutzen mit Usb
simagic are second only to simcube
Honestly, the Alpha U in the settings I prefer The bases match one to one my SC2 pro and even can get more torque without clipping on iRacing and I scratch my head about how they achieve that 😯
I want this but unfortunately I'm on a DD2 :(
Yeh man , I hope we can push them to make one USB compatible as we all can benefit from this 😃
Very nice wheel and video ! But offtopic question… Are you planning to get a RTX 4090 GPU ?
Ah no bro , I will skip that generation! I don’t have reason as the 3090 gives me everything I need right now and I will keep it till next Gen if I move to 4k monitors ! Ei will probably build new system with the next Gen !
First time for years I really don’t see reason to change as there is no need for the sim’s I use 😃
@@chepilevski So finally UPGRADING does STOP 😃😃 there is hope for us all 😂🏁👍
@@bmwM3M5M6 hahahHha
I have this wheel and cant get the dash to work with raceroom
So for you alpha u is very close to sc2 pro?
For now the alpha U it gives the same and even in some cases better performance from my SC2 on iRacing which I try to understand how is even possible and how they achieve that ! For example the Alpha can use the entire power of 23nm without clipping and that’s impossible for my SC !
In ACC they feel the same but I’m not expert of that sim anyway! On AMS I struggle to find any decent settings from the Alpha U 🤔
Lot’s of testing ahead before I come with full conclusion but for now on iRacing which is my favorite sim and I use it for 11 + years I feel like I already prefer the Alpha U !
That’s crazy 🙈
How 290mm is going with driving f1? Isnt it too wide?
Ah noo, it is just about right at least for me buddy
Who gave this a dislike? Ham Sandwich I know it was you! :)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dislikes are good to give some color😁
Guys, tell me if it's possible to ride simucube 2 sport without a button plate, just put on the rim without buttons and shifter, will true drive allow you to install the firmware on the base and play
yes.
The SC2 doesn’t need anything, you can attach whatever you want ! It is stand alone system not like Fanatec 🤛
Great, thanks
Is it possible to mount it on a DD1?
No buddy! Only Simagic for now 😒
Can I use it with Simucube 2 or it's only for simagic wheelbase?
Only Simagic compatible Kamil 😕
@@chepilevski Hello! I thought Simagic wheels were compatible with other wheel bases, if connected via USB. Just need to remove the wheel base QR, and replace it with a simucube one. Boosted Media did it with a few of Simagic's wheels ua-cam.com/video/i9AVzBHyZe8/v-deo.html

It is not heavy wheel at all buddy

Check that video here buddy
ua-cam.com/video/17NyoqcErAY/v-deo.html
Can someone explain to me why not being able to use this wheel in simhub would be a deal breaker? im a noob.
SimHub is powerful program in which some people have the patience to tweak things to the perfection but then some people don’t care much about that.
We still can tweak some of the settings in SimPro manager from Simagic and get some of the effects and warnings.
In little words, SimHub give more freedom and that can be dealbreaker for some people 🤛
Does this also work with the csl DD?
No buddy, that works only with Simagic
@@chepilevski thx man
does the screen and leds turns off, when Windows is shutting down?
No buddy, it have to be turned off with the base separately
@@chepilevski Thank you

Hahaha , that’s the reason I start with it as people will feel bad at the end 🙈
This wheel is absolute beast and must be made for every ecosystem 😃
@@chepilevski pretty sure they or someone will come out with a solution, there is money to be made there.
@@AdsTrapatony I hope you are right 🤛
Actually they back tracked. They used to make a gt4 wheel with usb, not anymore. I guess they want people to join their ecosystem.
@@zigmar8944 good luck with that :D
The flex in the handles is a bit concerning to me. For that price, I would expect no flex.
I hope other owners will give there personal experience with this and say if they have any problem with that 🤔
No simhub no go for me
SimHub will be huge thing for some for sure!
I'll give you my address. So you can send it to me.. You may as well throw in the wheel base too. I won't mind.. 😜
