removing soft taunt was a fucking pain in the ass. Every patch I feel like it's another thing going out the window just to push tanks doin things that are irrelevant. They should make efforts to having tanks be more engaging. Sometimes, it's really just a chore.
What is funny is that I did not know about soft taunts until it was gone, so I've been chaining+puncturing for years. But this will help alot on my non-DKs
Stempede + Tormentor set - group taunt. Use void + choking talon after. Return with your 2H (Cyrodiil Crest ) and reaply stempede if needed. U can also block with your 2h cuz of the free heal. Put magma incarnate. The heal of Cyrodiil Crest Will proc the Monster set. With that big taunt the mobs stay in place.
For dungeons u can backbar 1 set and use another on body, leaving the s&b as a flex spot. So not really a drawback here. A good example for dungeon runs is Drakes Rush on body, powerful assault jewelry and backback, then the flex s&b that can be any of the arena ones, depending on the need. Btw i usually run dungeons with a dps that slots dark convergence for trash pulls and it’s awesome! In this case i drop the vate s&b

I run Tormentor set using the Stempede skill from 2H as back bar to group stun. Perfect for trashs in dungeons and raids. Then I swap to another set for bosses.

In this setup, wouldn't shielded assault or invasion do the same thing without needing to bar swap? I'm not trying to correct, just trying to understand technique.
I wouldn't use Kinras because the second you have a healer in group or a DD using this set it becomes worthless and you are losing other important buff sets that usually only a Tank can make use of such as Yolnahkriin.
What I do on non-DK's (no talons) is the Turn Evil skill immediately after proccing Void Bash. It's a great combo and works better then caltrops for holding things in place. I still do caltrops right after to put the breach on everything though.
I don't like to take 2 slots to crowd control personally and I am using PA normally so the Caltrops covers me for snare, Breach and PA. I am pretty sure Turn Evil doesn't work on the pulled enemies though like its a fear skill and doesn't usually work alongside any pull based effects.
Not a fan of Zos recent changes, they're making it more miserable to tank by removing QoL, and shoe horning us into specific setups. Will have to manually switch between Void Bash and Master Sword/shield now. Void bash for 90% of the dungeon and Master's for the final hardmode fight, when too few adds spawn for it to have any real value. Meh..
@@TheTankClub don't need to, although options exist like the bone armor upgrade for necros causing pull on ranged or dk and fighters guild having leashes. Mostly, I just pull melee to ranged. As long as they're all attacking you and grouped closely enough they all of them get wrecked by aoes, the how doesn't usually matter. Might not be an option for every situation, but works for most. Even spread out, a 22m jump let's you drag things around fast and easy.
Tormentor turns any pull ability into a full taunt as well. Just saying... technically speaking no need to even slot a traditional taunt if running tormentor.
@@Mike-zj5ww which works great with the necro bone armor upgrade that pulls in ranged enemies. Just stampede AoE taunt everything and everything groups itself perfectly... Add a little leeching plate, maybe a leash, and you're golden for trash pulls. You wanna talk about buffing group DPS? This will get the job done!

Good combo, add razer caltrops to apply major breach to the whole lot and watch it melt.
Rushing agony jewelery and weapons with tormentor armor. Been running these on my sorc werewolf tank to beautiful effect!
I swear my skill to Tormentor + Leeching combo. Throw in brawler / master sword and board youll be pretty much immortal

I use dark convergence for this. Works fantastic and doesn't force me to waste one slot on main bar.

What's the size of the area of the effect? Void Bash at least tells you how large of an area it'll pull people in from.

Im using agony set instead. Love it. Chain then talons. Dead hehe.
why use a 5 piece instead of a 2 piece ? also, agony has a smaller range than void bash
