Hi sir Pls I want to ask about the external battery mount. The max voltage of the controller does it correspond to the voltage of the motor or it doesn’t matter
I have not done that mainly because it simply doesn't have enough power. For a 48V system, when you first accelerate from zero, the controller easily pull 25-30 Amps from the battery. That's about 1500 Watts. That buck converter will have a hard time keeping up with that.
Where did you buy those batteries! And would I have to upgrade my speed controller (boring C35 SLA here) And also could I run an external higher voltage batteries than mine(@36v) or just higher Ah
Hey. your video is great. It helped me solve some problems with the additional battery mounting. I have a question, I have a 350w electric scooter with 600w max power. I have a 36v -48v - 350w and 18amp controller. Currently I have two 36v 10 amp batteries in series, which still gives me 36v but 20 amp. The question is. Can i connect the third one of this same power? 36v - 10amp. ? So I will have one large 36v battery but almost 30amp. Do you think it will drive safely? will not burn the engine or controller? Thank you for your help :)
This gave me an idea, I have four 2AH 80V batteries for our lawn equipment, I could make a box to wire them in parallel and put it on the bike rack on the back of the bike and make a e-bike with a 80v 8AH battery that I can unplug and still use for landscaping!
Good work amigo! So are there any problems that could come up using a 48v or 60v battery on a 36v motor besides possibly increased motor temperatures? I only thought brushed motors can be overvolted.....what are your thoughts?

Hi Vuaeco, I love your channel and your videos are cool too. I have a question though, I have a Shark ion multi flex IF281 which is a cordless stick vacuum, but the battery life is not good. I would really like to take one of my dewalt 60v or even 20v batteries and somehow get that to work on the vacuum so that it will last way longer. Any suggestion? Thanks
How many volts is your Shark battery? I have a Dyson cordless vacuum and it's a 24V (6 cells) battery. I use my Kobalt 24V power tool battery on it and it works fine. So I reckon you could probably do the same thing for your Shark vacuum. Just use the same voltage battery and it should work.
@@scottkasprzak4042 That's an odd number. I think it's 25.2V, not 25.5V. That's because 4.2V x6 = 25.2V. So your battery might be 6 cells. Open it up and double check just to be sure. But you can definitely run a Kobalt 24V power tool battery on it. A Dewalt 20V battery might work if there's no controller. If there's a controller, you will need to run close to 25V and a Kobalt 24V battery is best for it.
Hello, I have a question I need help. I have a eco smart razor scooter , you can find it on Amazon, it’s green and white. How do I go about extending the battery the one I have in only last up to 12 miles per charge:/
Hello, great video. I noticed you made a series connection for the 2 24v battery packs. What if you made a parallel connection for the controller and connect both batteries in parallel. This way you don’t have to stop and plug in. I think the sparks would be avoided from plugging in the controller to the battery.
The reason why I connect 2x 24V batteries in series is because the controller requires more than 36V to run. Putting 2x 24V in parallel will not power on the controller.
@@Silver-pm5iq It's not a good idea to run external and internal batteries in parallel because they have different capacity and discharge rate. I even run the external batteries at different voltages so parallel with internal battery is a no go.
Is that the original speed controller? I am not very happy with how fast my battery drains and just want to upgrade it, could I connect any other internal battery replacement to the speed controller that comes with the scooter, I only ever find xiaomi replacements, will those battery packs still work in the swagger 5? The stock battery is 6Ah, I was thinking to get a 7.8Ah or more capacity instead... Do I need new speed controller and all for that to work or will stock controller work with it still?
Yes, absolutely. Anything you can make your own is a lot cheaper. Power tool batteries are expensive. But if you're already have cordless power tools, then why not put it to good use? You're not using your power tools while you're riding your scooter, are you? :D

Hi, do you have the issue when the external battery disables the internal battery when they are parallel? I have a 36v scooter with an internal battery of 36v10.4Ah and an external battery of 36v13Ah. After having both batteries connect for half a year with little weekly usage. I found out that sometimes the internal battery will no longer "connect" to the scooter, there is no power output, and charging it will always show green light on the charger. Do you have a similar issue with your build? Do you have any suggestions on what is happening? The scooter is pretty new with light weekly use. Thanks.
It's not a good idea to connect in parallel 2 batteries with different capacity. One of them will empty out first and the other one will become a charger for the less capacity battery. It's a fire hazard. It might damage both batteries in the long run. Check both your pack. Maybe one of them is already damaged.
