    Nice of you to organize the first steps for new RapidComposer users like myself.
    The developer should be grateful, and I am sure he is.
    I look forward to more videos to help me create interesting songs with a good workflow.

    Thank you. As you mentioned, this program can be quite frustrating, and this video answered a lot of my questions. I just wanted to use Rapid Composer to create some simple drones and progressions to make my guitar practice a little more enjoyable. I was on the point of just giving up, but having watched this video I am now quite confident I will be able to do the things that I have been wanting to do.

    These basic tutorials are absolutely essential for RapidComposer. It's a great composition tool but it totally overwhelms you at first. It's so easy to start fumbling your way through, not really knowing what you're doing then end up getting confused, frustrated and just not bother with the program again. This must be my fourth or fifth revisit to RapidComposer in an attempt to get a better handle on it.

    Thx for this series, cause I am just looking into Melodya to create melodies. Will it work together with Scaler where I create chord progressions? Or should I buy RapidComposer instead of Melodya alone?

    • @41Fingers
      @41Fingers  Рік тому +1

      Hi Adrian, Thanks for your comments. Its always difficult suggesting what a person should buy as everyone is so different and have different needs. Scaler is a no brainer as its cheap and can do so many things. Rapid composer is different as its more expensive and many find it hard to master, but for the person who can dig deep for above average results Rapidcomposer can be a true gem! Rapid composer and scaler can work great together as both can import chord progressions from each other.

    I am still racking my brain trying to figure out how you can make of the different phrases a single phrase so that you can apply changes to all of them all at once, as you do in this video and in another one. Every time I try it I'm given an error message saying multiple phrases selected, disallowing me to make changes the way you do here. Can you perhaps just do a quick 30 second video to show how you do it, because I have no clue whatsoever!

      try the undo button, you can also manually split it by hover mouse over the phrase and alt left mouse click. alt left mouse click again to reglue. you can also divide parts and chords by doing the same over the chords or part bars.

      I'm following allowing and am on "Start Here".
      I'm a little stuck on a couple of areas:
      1.) Naming tracks at @21:35 does not show track name to edit. Only an instrument.
      2.) The chords on master track are only showing 3 (not four). The first 2 are 8 beats. The third one is 16. It's really weird.
      I'm assuming that I changed a setting accidentally before you provided this amazing guide. But I can't imaging what it may be.
      Please advise, good sir.

    Do you think its better than captain chords, orb producer and instacomposer?

    • @schniggedagges74
      @schniggedagges74 2 роки тому +2

      It depends what you mean with "better". I own all four of them and they all have their advantages and disadvantages. With rapid composer you can compose whole songs with intro, verse, refrain, bridge and outro. Thats not possible or at least not that easy with the other tools. Therefore the other tools are much easier to use. Its somehow like comparing a fotofilter-app with a program like photoshop. Both can produce satisfying results, but the learning curves are very different. If you just want to generate some chords, baselines or arps orb producer or instacomposer might be the better solution. If you want a tool for more advanced and complex compositions and if you are willing to work yourself into a more complicated program, then rapid composer might be the better choice.

    • @vcodev108

      @@schniggedagges74 ok great, is it a AI tool as well that generates melody, baseline, and beats?

    • @schniggedagges74
      @schniggedagges74 2 роки тому +1

      @@vcodev108 They are all AI based generators. As for melodies I like Orb more than Captains or instacomposer, but rapid composer is on another level. It gives you much more options but on the other hand it is not that intuitive. For drums there are much better options like easy drummer or moto drummer

    • @vcodev108

      @@schniggedagges74 so that mean rapid composer is not an AI based tool?

    • @schniggedagges74
      @schniggedagges74 2 роки тому +2

      @@vcodev108 Of course it is, but a more complex one. It is not as easy to handle as the other ones. You have much more options, but you need to know where and how to use them. The other tools are more straight foreward. There is one UI with some parameters to play with and thats it. Rapid composer has lots and lots of funktions hidden in several different menus. So it is not that intuitive. You need to know exactly what you want to do and where to look up for that funktion. The manual is a pdf with 188 pages...

      I just solved the problem, I must have dragged the end of the progression section over to the right side, almost off the screen, luckily I saw the blue line at the edge of the screen, and when I put the curser on it I could drag it back into position.
      I hope this might help someone else.
