My rabbit stopped eating his hay. Bought new kinds. Still nothing. Then I tried your suggestion to put his pellets on top of his hay for him to find- voilà! He loves to searching and ate his hay too🥳
    THANK YOU!

I just took a small slice of orange and squeezed it over the hay and as soon as he smelled it he came running over and started devouring the hay. Would totally recommend!

You can buy dried dandelions or dry them yourself and then don't give veggies and only a tiny bit of pellets.

You can add lettuce and herbs into the hay! Don’t worry if he isn’t fully introduced to salads etc yet, you can still add a few bits into the hay :D Maybe also an occasional fruit! Hand feeding the hay is also an option. If you cannot get the rabbit to eat hay at all then find pellets which are made mainly of timothy hay, e.g. the Oxbow rabbit food. You could also try feeding alfalfa hay! It isn’t made for rabbits over a couple months old or so as it doesn’t have enough fibre but it’s an amazing rabbit treat and they find it super tasty, so hopefully your bunny would want to eat that! From there on you can slowly transition to your selected hay choice like timothy hay or any other healthy choice :) Sorry if this didnt help

Alfalfa and coastal hay. Both are needed for a rabbit. Pellets are not natural. Pellets are pure poison. Coastal is Bermuda grass or hay. No greens no pellets. Just alfalfa and coastal hays . A fist full of both that is a pile the size of the rabbit. The rabbit will eat the alfalfa first then eat the coastal later. They will eat hay all day long. It wears their teeth down and gives them all the proper nutrition. Rabbits can get gas and bloat up from feeding the greens. Pellets are filled with grains and chemicals like paint thinner. I raise meat rabbits. Been doing it for years. My rabbits eat only alfalfa and coastal Bermuda hay. That and water makes for a happy healthy rabbit. Ween your rabbit off of pellets. Put a wad of both hays in there with half as many pellets. The next day more of both hay the size of the rabbit and a quarter of pellets. The next day don't put in any pellets just the hay. When your rabbit gets hungry it will eat the hay. Alfalfa will be first then it will eat the coastal. After several days into this your rabbit will be happy to get the mix of hays.

give him lots of grass with small amounts of hay to begin with, and slowly add more and more hay and less grass. Eventually you should end up fully on hay! I would recommend a hay like oat hay which is super at trimming their teeth naturally :]

My little one was the same when she was younger. I found that feeding leafier and greener grass hay really satisfied her. Because your rabbit is young, you are able to give your rabbit botanical or alfalfa! These are very sweet and soft hay. Just remember alfalfa is very sweet because it is grown with clover, which isn’t great for adult rabbits (7 or 8 months and older). Alfalfa still can be fed to older rabbits but only as a treat. I hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions! 🙃

First do a lot of research and make like a powerpoint or slide or something about it and then show it to them cuz then they will know you really want a bunny. Also if they come up with any problems find a way to fix the problems while still being a good rabbit owner. Another thing is to tell them how happy you will be if you get a bunny or, if you can, you could tell them you will pay for some part of the supplies or do all the work. Hope this helps!

My bearded dragon was too spoiled at one point in time. She would only eat hornworms. Wouldn’t touch super worms or veges. After a week of not eating she devoured anything I put in her dish.
You just leave whatever you want them to eat out. Yes you have to ensure they get hungry enough to eat what’s presented. Oldest trick in the book for parents to get kids to eat.

@@anupbisht5029 (Not my method btw c: ) Thanks for the update. I have a bun who also doesn't drink much water. My vet said that she probably just works through her food more. Takes her time extracting and chewing. I give her lots of hydrating greens and sometimes fruit, so I'm sure she's getting much of the water she needs from those alone. My other bun drinks A LOT more water than her, but is less of a foody. Maybe there is a correlation.
Other than that, you can give them water through a feeding syringe if you feel like they need it fast. I have a $40 fountain because my buns are really picky and didn't like bowls as much - also, I don't have to clean it until 2 weeks at a time. It keeps their water really fresh because it has a couple levels of filtration. I also chose this one because other fountains are more tedious to clean and ended up not staying clean for as long as they said anyway. I saw one other rabbit owner has one in the comments and seems to adore it too. I'll leave a link if you want to check it out! ( I have dwarf rabbits, so it's only JUST short enough for them to reach. So, I had to put a little platform for them btw).
