Seriously these videos and your blog have been so helpful! I got my rabbits about a month ago and ive been able to refer to your site to check what's correct to do. I took them to get spayed last week and because I'd read your website in preparation, when one of them stopped drinking and eatingafterwards i knew to contact the vet as soon as I noticed. She's fine and back to normal now, yay! Thanks so much for posting and sharing all of this information with us.

Not sure if you'll see this because this is an older video but I'm having a hard time to get my 3 year old Holland Lop to eat hay. He has always had unlimited amounts but I rarely actually see him eat it. I know he eats some, but not nearly as much as he should be, by a mile. I try to make up for this by giving him high quality hay-based kibble and treats, and lots of fresh greens. He seems like a very happy bunny but I still have concerns that this may be hurting him long-term. Do I just bite the bullet and give him tough love and give him literally only hay? And thanks for your videos, I've only recently come across them and they are very informational.

Ex, a bowl of greens like twice a day. When so I start doing this? He is on a grass hay diet with pellets right now and the occasional spinach/lettuce, but I dont know when I should transition into giving him a bunny salad (if you will)

The transition starts at 1 month good quality pellet, 1 month and a half alfafa hay, and 2/3 months introducing slowly vegetables with more fiber (list on the internet) and keeping a close eye on their poop.Because they can have a upset stomach easy. I know that to rabbits, If they do not poop and starts to become conscerning you can give pinnaple, Just a little.

My daughter found a lop bun hopping around our apartment complex. He was really dirty and fur is matted. We’ve had him for 2 weeks now and he finally is looking better. He’s still loading lot of fur and I don’t know how to get his mats out. I try brushing him but it’s still little mats. Any suggestion. He also doesn’t like it when I use the brush. I make sure to do it softly and not down to his skin. He had poopy butt and mats there on his bum. I was able to remove the mats there and he’s finally clean there. I appreciate your videos.

My bunny is weird apparently XD Once I wanted to give her a tiny bit of banana and she ran away like if I was holding a cat. A while later I had a thin slice of lime, and she came super curious and gave it a lick, she didn't like it though but damn she ran away from the banana.
Btw, I'm confused with her, sometimes she's so ok with me around, she lays down all stretched land relaxed or plays with me, but then I come to her later (a few hours later) to feed her or whatever and she run's away like if I was a predator and hides. Idk what's wrong and that worries me. She has a terrace besides my room for herself, I often keep the door open so she can run around my room too and sometimes I open everything so she can explore the house, I just feel a little nervous she can bit on something and get hurt, I'm still working on making it safe for her.

If you're not sure what fresh foods you can give your rabbit, ask yiur vet! I thought yiu could feed a rabbit any kind of fresh vegies. Nope! I learned that some foods can make your bunny sick! Like avocados and onions. Why I thought that was, when I was growing up, we always had outdoor bunnies in hutches. My mom would give them stuff from her garden. So yea, check to make sure they will not make your rabbit sick. Also, our outdoor rabbits only got pellets. We fed them grass.
