Hello! Several of your videos and articles helped me out but I could not find answer for my bunny behaviour. We have a routine where I pet it for several minutes. Early morning I can pet it endlessly, turning i into pancake. However early evening after several minutes of petting it starts to do a small "runaways" that last a second then comeback and presses it's head into tip of my fingers (not hand itself). It keeps happening until I take my hand away from reach. It seems to even position it's head like I don't know, submarine periscope? Sorry for long comment, I have no idea what does rabbit try to say.
this is unrelated but, I have a problem. my bun likes to dig and chew at any soft surface he can get his paws on. because of that, I can't let him out often or he might digest something dangerous. I can't even give him a soft surface for his cage because he will dig and tear it up, so he has sore hocks from living on a hard floor. he is also quite lonely because I am at my job a lot, so I don't have as much time for him as i'd like. I really don't want to give him up. I love him so much I could never give him to someone else.. any tips to make him stop digging so much? he got neutered 2 months ago to try and stop it but he still does it. please help!
I have the same problem with some of my rabbits, but I think I figured out why, at least partly: They're bored. Provide other things to chew on and play with. And spend as much time as you can with him, even if its just a few minutes at a time. For the flooring, you can get stuff that is softer but okay to chew like cardboard or seagrass mats which also help with boredom. My bunny Mallow loves to tear apart cardboard for fun and as a result he leaves the shag carpet alone.
use some diluted white vinegar on areas my rabbits chew, it's safe for them and far more effective than bitter apple spray. I also put the tunnels behind the couches so that the rabbit can still hide behind them but can't get to the carpet or wallpaper. If you see him chewing try tempting him with something else, my rabbits love meadow hay cookies or loo roll tubes stuffed with hay are a good option too.
A lot of people seem to think that rabbits can be housed with guinea pigs which isn't true because the rabbit is likely to bully the guinea pig and they also have different nutritional needs.
At this point you'll want to start transitioning to grass-based hays for an adult diet. You can give your rabbit the legume hay and start mixing in handfuls of timothy hay with it
@@TheBunnyLady I do not have timothy hay available around me, and we have serious lockdown restrictions, how often should I give her legume hay and in what quantities? Her diet is mostly coriander leaves, tulsi leaves, cucumbers, radish leaves, and fruits as treats, please guide me regarding options I can have at home easily
Even a tiny amount of carrot gives one of my rabbits diarrhea. Just him. No other veggies or fruit do that to him. The other rabbits handle it fine. Each individual bun can have different likes and sensitivities. I have one bun that won't eat anything other than pellets and hay.
This isn’t really a question about the topics you’ve mentioned, but im getting a wee bit confused trying to find the answer on my own 🙈 so here goes: i have a 10 month old neutered male bun, and I’ve been searching for a friend to adopt without any luck, which has led me to get a baby bunny as a friend for him. I won’t be keeping them together until i can get the baby bunny neutered, so the question is; should i keep them in separate rooms? Is it okay to have the baby’s playpen close to my other bun, or should they just not meet/ see each other at all for the first months? I really hope someone, anyone can share some answers with me 😭
It's okay to have them near each other. Sometimes that can actually help because there is some amount of socialization that can happen when they are able to see each other.
Don't forget how much noise they can make shaking their enclosure for attention. Or throwing their bowl around. Or digging at you in bed when they think it's time for pellets at 4 am. Then if you ignore said digging, rabbit revenge pees at edge of bed. That's why rabbit is perma-banned from bedroom.
Be glad you had a rabbit, not a squirrel, you could have been told to go to the bagel shop rather than just get pellets.

Mam you're page is quite informative. If you don't mind could you make a video on how to cool a cage of a rabbit in summers
Easy. Fill some water bottles and stick them in the freezer. Once frozen, put one in the bunny habitat. Maybe cover it with a washcloth or something, but leave it for bunny to lie against. You can also put a little ice in bunny's water. Put an oscillating fan in the area, not directly at bunny, but somewhere where it can keep air circulating. Do you have more rabbits not including ellie
I’ve had 2 rabbits die from spaying 😢 feel like I can’t win
Watching the first one when i have netherland dwarfs under 2lbs
I have a netherland dwarf rabbit and he is only around 2 pounds
My rabbit is a 16 lb checkered giant.
Which is a better snuggler: boys or girls?
Thx💖

THANKS FOR THE FACTS
i didnt even realize i was early lol
love u guys
A lot of people seem to think that rabbits can be housed with guinea pigs which isn't true because the rabbit is likely to bully the guinea pig and they also have different nutritional needs.
I got legume hay mixture for my 10 month old rabbit...is it okay?
At this point you'll want to start transitioning to grass-based hays for an adult diet. You can give your rabbit the legume hay and start mixing in handfuls of timothy hay with it
@@TheBunnyLady I do not have timothy hay available around me, and we have serious lockdown restrictions, how often should I give her legume hay and in what quantities? Her diet is mostly coriander leaves, tulsi leaves, cucumbers, radish leaves, and fruits as treats, please guide me regarding options I can have at home easily
You can get large bales of meadow hay on Amazon and my rabbits love meadow hay cookies which you can also get on Amazon.
@@Miss-Anne-Thrope Thank you! I will look for them!
Guys rabbits don’t usually smell but do expect the area where their kept will smell like rabbit and hay
my bunny doesnt even like carrots
can you clean a bunny
If u ever have a wild animal such as a wild bunny. Blankets will become the best thing that's ever happend to them.
Rabbits don’t smell, my friend have over 10 rabbis, and there place smells great. Now their goats on the other hand….
None of my bunnies will eat carrots.
My bunny don't like carrots I gave her a piece of carrots and she move her face
Try a slice of banana.
Even a tiny amount of carrot gives one of my rabbits diarrhea. Just him. No other veggies or fruit do that to him. The other rabbits handle it fine. Each individual bun can have different likes and sensitivities. I have one bun that won't eat anything other than pellets and hay.
Mine too
Is just carrots that do that
So, Bugs Bunny is bulls**t?
That's actually how I start the bonding process with my rabbits, it's actually a good way to socialise them without them fighting over territory.
