I absolutely loved “The Real Thing.” But never did I think that just 6 months after this performance, this same band would release one of the greatest albums of all time.
Angel Dust yes great, King for a Day, beyond greatness, AoTY imo just as good, I prob put them in this order, AoTY #1, King for a day #2, Angel Dust #3, Epic #4, have all of them bought them all when they came out lol, i have FNM in my top 5 bands of all time, that Includes the likes of Bowie, Radiohead, Beck, and Deftones, hard to chose when you got ACDC and Sabbath there also haha and god so many, but you have to chose 5 lol
about a year ago i re-discovered midlife crisis, and decided to listen to angel dust...quite possibly one of the best albums i ever heard... Eargasm indeed! such a diverse style too...mike has an incredibly exceptional voice range
Yeah that is correct. Saw them play in Perth, West Australia on the Angel dust tour. They walked out in silence and and did jumping jacks (star jumps) for about 15 seconds (all grinning) Stormed off stage. Came back on and I have no idea what they played first.
Chris Riches awesome,I only got to see them on the Album Of The Year tour. My phone just got fixed and I hated not being able to comment on the time line. Ty bro
Check out towards the end of the Angel Dust touring. He's straight out of the KFAD touring cycle. He's even already circling the middle of the stage already out of boredom.
he also is wearing a Godflesh shirt in one of their earlier videos, I believe its falling to pieces, its hard to spot but its there.remember back in the day Godflesh was doing something very new, it may sound dated and simple now a days but I remember when the first titled came out and it blew us away, like swans with more brutality.
long time fan, I actually have "Avalanche master song" on my playlist at work, people ask why I have a song with a three note bass line that repeats over and over again, My response is that it doesn't repeat over and over again, it punches you in the face over and over again and that's the point.
Can you feel it, see it, hear it today? If you can't, then it doesn't matter anyway You will never understand it 'cause it happens too fast And it feels so good, it's like walking on glass It's so cool, it's so hip, it's alright It's so groovy, it's outta sight You can touch it, smell it, taste it so sweet But it makes no difference 'cause it knocks you off your feet You want it all but you can't have it It's cryin', bleedin', lying on the floor So you lay down on it and you do it some more You've got to share it, so you dare it Then you bare it and you tear it You want it all but you can't have it It's in your face but you can't grab it It's alive, afraid, a lie, a sin It's magic, it's tragic, it's a loss, it's a win It's dark, it's moist, it's a bitter pain It's sad it happened and it's a shame You want it all but you can't have it It's in your face but you can't grab it What is it? Klaus Meine and Mike Patton onstage together is awesome in itself. 2 of my favorite singers.....although I cant figure out where Klaus is ! Lol Ohhh 2nd half....I see him now. I'm a dork. 😎
Sascha right! and the last wide angle shot was like the end of a Lawrence Welk episode. And why no drum rolls like Moon does in the original. Strange. I'm thinking it's the golden era of corporate control.
I've always kind of felt like Mike was always taking the piss with his performances during The Real Thing era because he just kind of came on after the album was done, added some vocals, and suddenly was famous. When Angel Dust came around and he was involved with the whole creative process it seems like he felt like more of a member of the band and took things a bit more serious.
I love it when Patton wears a hat at the beginning of a song or concert because you know that shit is going to be flying off when he's head-banging and going ape shit! Have much respect for this band they still give a lot of energy out and look like the actually want to be up there playing one of my favorite bands is tool but in the last couple years it's like going and seeing statues except for maybe Justin Chancellor the bass player he gets into it once in awhile pretty good but other than that the drummer's the only one really moving around
Jeez, who ever is knocking Scorpions just has no clue of their history and lineage in rock! Go listen to their Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth 70's era and then come back and comment...Faith No More has a shit-ton of respect and admiration for Scorps...they were one of their inspirations early on
@@DeadManSinging1 Scorpions were never strong at most covers... The only ones that really work are when he does a cover in German... in my opinion. Check out Fuchs Ge Voran. (Fox on the Run)
Jim Martins Guitar Sound and playing fitted so well to this band...
Flying V Axe
The best ever
Who? Oh you mean 'Big Fat Ugly'
Everything fits well
Patton has one of the most memorable voices in my lifetime
skaterbun One of the best and most versatile frontman of all time.
Skaterbun awsome

moshed dudes ..fnm are living legends...
FNMs one hit wonder sounds like a RHCP Ripp off. Except for the guitars ofcourse. XD

@@negativezero3107agree, aoty and king for a day hugely underrated albums!!
@@kimmyfreak200 you are 100% right. Greatest album since the sawdoctors last one👌
Jim Martin could have been a guitar icon. He had the talent, the looks, the attitude, etc. ... he just did care to be one.
Went off to be a prize pumpkin farmer or some shit.
Mike was slowly transitioning to the Angel Dust era Mike.
+Joey Roller I was thinking that also! He tired of playing the rock star pretty quickly.
this was one month before AD RECORDING BEGAN

Idk why that's capitalized
Scientific fact:
Your COOL increases by three times infinity to the power of 1950 when the originator Bo Diddley joins you on stage.
Lots of enthusiasm from Jim, which is nice to see!
Patton looks like Angel Dust Mike, but sounds like The Real Thing Mike. Trippy as
It's messing with my mind!
Check out towards the end of the Angel Dust touring. He's straight out of the KFAD touring cycle. He's even already circling the middle of the stage already out of boredom.
Nah, you can certainly hear some Angel Dust vocals in this performance. The screaming for example.
There’s a to touch of angel dust in there.
It's almost like they're the same person.
didnt know how good they were on stage and the guitaris s sound is real brutal, thats the way i like it, THIS IS WHAT I CALL FUN; ACTION !!
One of the best live bands of ALL time! Mike Patton is in hiding thanks to COVID... But when he comes out of hiding check them out!
Un-fucking-believable. The MAN Bo Diddley playing with this crew! Love it.
Bo Diddley soloing like crazy with Bordin on drums and Jim Martin on rhythm guitar. This is nuts.
And then some cunt talks over it.
Patton is wearing a godflesh shirt. this guys always been a savage.

Miss Big Jim's riffs.
Nothing against the current guitarist.
But Jim will always be the best.
Station!
Trey Spruance was better in the same band lol
I was just enjoying that solo and that voice at the end scared the shit out of me.
That was terrible. What was that voice doing there anyway?
Only faith no more can bring two very diverse characters together and make it work

And Rudolph Schenker also of the Scorpions. Not sure who the bass player is, though
I think it's Scott Baio.

Peter Sarovinovich on bass.
