It would be helpful to have a video showing how to put it back together. ESPECIALLY how to reconnect the locking ribbon. I didn't even intentionally unplug it bc I couldn't figure out how to disconnect it. It came disconnected accidentally. So that was really confusing trying to figure out how to get that back together. I thought my xbox was screwed! And I'd already had a bad night after taking my ps4 pro apart and disconnecting the power cord from the motherboard and completely destroying it 😢 so I was having a panic attack when that ribbon came apart and I didn't know if it was broke, reconnectable or what! Thank goodness it went back together
I foolishly bought one from a roach and cat infested woman for 150 with 3 good games to sell and I'm regretting it bad. The smell is outrageous!!! Not to mention the legion of bug parts. I got the plastic body off and disassembled it. I can't seem to find any videos on that part. Anyways I'm soaking it and scrubbing with dish detergent and vinegar. Then a good 91% alcohol rub down and doused with Febreeze. This is all after I've already left the console in a sealed bag with HELLA good smelling chemical products for over a week! I'll reassemble the body before I go any further with the video or else I'm gonna forget how it goes back together 😂 I appreciate the video breakdown here it's a life saver!

Why are you blowing the air/dust INTO the side vents? Shouldn’t you vacuum them instead?
This is exactly what I was thinking. Why do people use air. You're more like to push dust further into the system. Vaccum should be the preferred method.
One superthanks on the way. My son is a really happy camper! Thanks! :-)
Appreciate the video, but would have been suuuper nice to show putting it back together. Struggling with the little white strip that goes into the locking tab
The only thing to say is really nice explanation. You only missed to mention that there are two different types screws holding the top shield.
My Xbox One X has been shutting off randomly so I'm hoping this will fix it. It says it's overheating but yet it's out in open area.
Thanks man, now I need to go to Walmart to get an air dust can so I can do this as efficient as possible.

i’ve just done this - my xbox has turned back on but won’t connect to my controller anymore? any advice?
thanks for your interesting videos (as always !!) !
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the video it was a huge helped just got so much nasty dust out of my console
I'm here because my XIX cuts off every couple days - when I turn it back on its says it might be due to lack of ventilation. But its in an open area with nothing around it so I'm trying to clean it now - thinking its just dusty.
Is it working now? I have the exact same problem
@@ramonpablito9154 it's dust buildup inside that has sensors that picks it up, every month I use a can of compressed air and blow out the vents and that seemed to work, hasn't cut off on me anymore since.
@@briengakaplan-b1550 i just cleaned it its working fine now. I was getting hella worried it crashed every 20mins.
I have my one x at my girlfriends house and her dogs shed alot so its always covered with dust and hair and is extremely slow gonna try this out this weekend
@3:43 I managed to break that connector, but the device is working fine so far. Do you know what that is for?

I like the way you explain in detail. Thank you we appreciate how you teach us to remove and clean the system step by step.. Tell me is there a way to clean the Laser.. Before I replace the drive.

It worked wonders❤❤
Was wondering if you could do a summary off the tools you use at the end of you video? Very helpful though!
Thanks for the help. I’ve done all of this, put it back together, and now it won’t turn on anymore.
