Leave it up to Serato to find new ways to market things that battle djs have already been doing for over 20 years. That juggle was entertaining tho.
I found that I also had to have the ‘Needle Dropping (Relative Mode)’ setting in the CD/Vinyl tab set to ‘Drop to Absolute Position’ to get this to work as intended

From what I have found, you have to set it to absolute mode to set up stickers and then change to relative when your done putting stickers on.
you can use the other side to put a phase magnetic sticker on it
Hopefully someone else can confirm but I'm pretty sure the magnetic sticker you get with Phase has a bit of thickness to it. If you were to place the vinyl sticker-side down it might not sit completely flat on the platter. Good idea, though.

Thanks you explained the sticker lock thing super simple. Since these are the same as the regular clear control vinyls ill have to pick these up

Routine 🔥🔥🔥🔥. New feature not. I already did the same thing with my clear vinyl. It’s just slick on one side that’s all. I guess that’s enough for some.
DJ’s have been doing this with clear control vinyl records for a while now. Just use electrical tape as a line marker on one side. The good thing about this particular cv is that it is slick on one side.

Am I missing something? Or is this just clear vinyl with a sticker on the other side? I kept bracing myself for something like an optical sensor or something to detect the colors of the stickers or something cool but nope, I have a feeling the marketing department was pushing for something and this was the quick result. However glad to have stuck around to see the end! Dude can tear it up! Damn!

WISH: It came with long sticker already applied on record and the software could just set it at 12 automatically by lining up record, pressing the SHIFT key + pressing the Turntable power ON button and SHIFT key again to confirm sticker lock, would be more practical for the user/dj, imo.
2nd Suggestion: Maybe a long sticker line option that is broken up (like a highway street lane) so the user/dj can judge&move the needle to a different area of a song (a 3 section sticker line break INTRO, MID & OUTRO area/section), hope I'm explaining this part clearly, anyways just a thought.

Do whatever is comfortable to you. Many Djs like it at 12 many like it at the needle, Cash Money likes his at 3pm. Its whatever makes you sleep at night lol
Seen a few videos about these records, but some say you set them up in absolute mode others say in relative mode. So which is it? and does it matter? cheers!

I NEED THIS! Looks like the Sticker Lock set's OOS just about everywhere in the US. Amazon has it, but it's $60 where they have a clear control vinyl set for $35. Which looks like it's this vinyl minus the stickers. So basically $25 for some Serato stickers hummmmmm lol.

Need a special edition sticker lock control vinyl with a virus graphic on it.
Was so excited to get this and watched this before setting up BUT mine are "temperamental" anyone else have issues?
For example, will find cue perfectly for a while, but then without lifting or changing track it finds a new place on the vinyl and that is semi temporary and suddenly will jumps 2-3 minutes into the track (no where near first or second cue)

Iv'e followed these instructions to a tee but when I load another track its not even near the cue point and when I move the record to the first cue point the sticker (Which I also have at 12 OcClock) is not even in the correct position... What am I missing or done wrong ? HALP!!!

How do you get 4 decks on serrato, Using the DVS? I'm using Rane-72 wit ReloopRp8000
Hey there - the Rane 72 is a two channel mixer, so a 4 deck option isn't available when using it. Please check out our other mixers and controllers, some of which are 4 channel at serato.com/hardware :)
What if the spot you want to scratch with is in the middle of the song

can you use normal Serato records to do this or. do you need the sticker lock vinyl specifically?
Hey there, you can do this using normal Serato Control Tone Vinyl, but these have a clear and transparent body & blank underside (Not to mention comes with the stickers) to provide more specific product to use when practicing.

I don't get it. Why is the needle needed to be down at the record if it is only virtual sound on the computer?
He's not using phase. It's the digital sound on the record's which ''play'' the music on the laptop, therefore requires the needle to still be on the vinyl.

I guess I'm too stupid :D Did all the settings, but every time I reload a track, the sticker lock is in a different position. E.g. stickers at 12 o'clock, run half turn to 6 o'clock, reload track and the track starts at 6 o'clock and not at 12 o'clock. What am I doing wrong :D Thanks for help guys!
