I just ordered a turntable + mixer so while I'm waiting for it to be delivered I thought I'd look into Sticker Lock. I'm not a genius but I'm competent with figuring shit out. Serato should use your video to explain this as their official Sticker Lock one's pretty damn terrible. I sort of understood it, but I couldn't exactly grasp it, you made it make sense. I'm still not 100% but I hope when I get my setup I can get the 12'oclock sticker where the Serato label's straight horizontally. he OCD in me might go nuts having the sticker straight up and down and the Serato logo at some weird angle. Anywho thank you for making this, I'm sure on my own I could have figured it out, but it would have taken me a long time lol. And Serato's typical *tutorial* videos are bad "Hay, we have this feature that can be pretty complex to figure out. So to help we made a 2 minute video where we just totally half-ass gloss over shit." They completely fail to mention a word about how each track grove will be the start for another cue point.
Hello . Ive just bought a set up with serato DJ pro and i need a laptop. Can you tell me what type and power laptop will work ? Thanks.. ill subscribe aswell
No a sidenote, I have an AKAI controller with two octaves of keys and maybe 16 trigger pads. Can you assist me with syncing it with Serato or Traktor? Or maybe just some book ways that I could try...?
Regardless of the topic, about your orto concorde dj s cartridge, is it a Qbert styli? i’m right? No problem at all? can you send me a feedback..thanks mate..i’m planning to change to Qbert styli with same Blue cart
Best sticker lock tutorial I've seen thus far, thank you so much!
thank you!
Your video is better than the official Rane one.
I like that u did this 8 yrs ago but I've had mines done back then too., and just now its became pop.....
I've lost everything and need to start over. Your videos are awesome. Thank you.
Great explanation, and another reason why I love Serato DJ so much :D
Congratulations on the video, lots of quality information was given!
Nice feature! I was wondering who was going to explain this

Thanks man J.R. The good news is Serato Sell "Sticker Lock" vinyl now without the text on the center label so you won't have that OCD issue ;)

Functionality = nailed it, sticker placement = questionable
Traktor has this feature for years!! but nice explanation about the sticker lock in serato. 👍
how and where?
I see u have stickers on your hot keys or short cut keys. Are those for serato Dj or scratch live? If they are serato dj, where did u get them?

Hey Jody, might need to make a video on that. Its really easy to map most functions in SDJ to pads. User preference on what is best :)

Yes you are right, I just actually switched back to the regular ortofon styli as I actually prefer the sound for listening to records.
dvs is great thing
Where’d your get the keyboard cover?
KB Keyboard cover for Serato
Why do you have the tonearm weight set so high?
No real reason, it was working fine, mind you this is a long time ago now
Do you have to enable your beatgrid for that red line?
yes, the red line is the downbeat of the beatgrid. Sorry it took so long to reply
Can I have your old dj setup?
Maui and Sons tho!
you know the vibe Day! 🌊
