What brand I've been using stickers forever. Do you use 1/8" or 1/4" is it matte white? what brand does it matter? i don't want it to peel off if i ever do. appreciate it. I just realized this was 7 years ago still same question.
@@SouthBronxOriginal I'm sure any brand would work. As an electrician the one thing I would stay away from is 3M Super33 tape. It's super sticky and sometimes leaves residue that could damage your rekkids.
I think every beginner should watch all the Throwback Thursday Videos. For someone who has done this for a longer time it seems like basic everyday shit, but it's essential to know those tricks if you don't. Great Tutorials!
Ive been a vinyl dj since 2002 and I recently figured out how to get skips out of my favorite unusable records.... A damn toothpick!!!! Find the scratch and lightly slide the toothpick point along the grooves!! I wish I have known this all along!!! Then you can cue the record as you would normally!!!
With a white crayon you can mark on top of the cue and know more precisely where it’s at. You do have to clean your needle pretty often and deal with shavings but a microfiber terrycloth rag works well
Pretty neat but seems awfully unnecessary for what you get out of it. I dont need to put a sticker over the intro (and potentially ruin my record and needles) just to get to the kick 32 beats later... just drop the needle closer to that point and find it in your headphones quickly.. these tutorials are great though thanks man
When knowing your records well enough.. that marker is visualy printed in my head.. my hand brings the needle straight to it. just a que back forward and bangon!
Instead of a record, how would one properly label a RANE Performer platter? Is there a rule to follow when applying a sticker to a platter such as that?
Nice work, but it would be so nice as well as this to upload some tip videos about controllers and serato dj too. this more a request than a coment, don't take it n a wrong way. tanx .
LOL. That had me laughing too. Truth is, every Cajmere (this is Dajae remixes of Cajmere for Cajual Records), or any other Chicago house track starts with the 4x4 lead in.
That spiraling slipmat is mesmerizing.
Tip: white electrical tape. Much better than stickers and easy to take off. Been using it for years.
Ima try that

I don’t even DJ but vinyl is so mesmerizing

I don't understand, you make the original groove wider/deeper? doesn't that change the frequencies?
It might be soft enough to just buff the roughened edges of the grooves back into a cleaner alignment
Ace! Please keep doing more of these!

3:28 i thought i was the only one who agreed!
You said that second technique is slightly bad for the record but will that wear out my needle faster? great tips btw!
Redlining throughout the tutorial. Watch your levels!
+Alxbeginner if your not redlining your not headlining
Rule #3 Stop Clipping
What track is playing at 0:10 at the beginning of this video?
DAMN! PURE VINYL!!!
I have another way to mark your LPs without destroying your Vinyl.
I will send you an example.
It’s been the better part of a decade but did you send that technique?
When knowing your records well enough.. that marker is visualy printed in my head.. my hand brings the needle straight to it. just a que back forward and bangon!
have never used them, cool though. Thought it was battle djs (DMC) that used them mostly
Name of thr first song he put?
Instead of a record, how would one properly label a RANE Performer platter? Is there a rule to follow when applying a sticker to a platter such as that?
The way he’s damaging these records 😭😭😭😭
Hi, im a Skratch DJ, & im learning many things, & I want to know where to buy these cue point stickers, thanx...... 👍👊💪🙏😎
Wal mart, dollar store. They are just stickers. A white crayon is what I use
It is not a digital DJ technique... It exists since the first DJs back in the 80's...
But digital djs recognize it that way this is for those who dont know about vinyl
Stick the tape on your jeans a couple of times to reduce the tackiness.
What about the fuzzies that’d stick to the sticker?
dope
Tape Preferences?!?
teach em ean !
YES!
This, this was invented before digital djing

These are called throwback videos. For people who don’t use digital.
Stickers On Vinyl Wax For Cue Points Have Been Around For Over 35 Years..LOL
I've only been interested in vinyl DJing for about 30 minutes so it helped me for him to mention it...
beat is so good!! (plays cookie cutter house beat)
LOL. That had me laughing too. Truth is, every Cajmere (this is Dajae remixes of Cajmere for Cajual Records), or any other Chicago house track starts with the 4x4 lead in.
That’s also going to damage your needle 😢😢😢
Clippppinnnnngggg :(
i wanna be The DJokey, yeah the "D" is silent
If your needing stickers to read vinyl, stick to digital media.
