Can i just say how much i love this teams & this community GPG🧀
Kinda wild that Justis can look at this roster and feel like we don't need CBs after watching half a year of Corey Balentine. We definitely need an upgrade at slot, and we also need an outside CB. This draft has a lot of good CBs so it doesn't have to be super early, but if there is good value at CB take it.
Nice to have you back, Andy.
Can't sleep at 6 am? PACK-A-DAY time
STFU.
You should be waking up at that time.
I'm up before 6, every day and I make pack a day my first listen
I've been slacking on listening every morning. Been working 7 days a week for a couple weeks straight. My first listen in a couple weeks.
Agreed
Me rn even tho it’s 8am been up since 6am
Andy Herman def is in the 95% percentile of football knowledge, bro you are smart AF when it comes to this game and your guest are quality.
Corner is definitely a top need , along with Safety and Tackle. I don't trust Stokes, even when healthy, Valentine is good , Alexander is Alexander , but what do you have after that. You mean to tell me if Cooper DeJean or Kool-aid Mckinstry is avaliable at 25 , they wouldn't have a hard time taking one of them? I doubt it.
Jaire & Stokes are injury prone it almost just makes sense to draft CB.
This will be a big change on defense. I hope Gutey and Hafley talk a lot before the draft. 😁😎🤔
These discussions were excellent. Awesome you guys.
Great content; as always.
Great episode. College football coaching has always been half coaching, half sales. Now it’s 4 parts sales to one part coaching thanks to the portal and NIL - at least at all but the top 5 or so programs.
Thank you again. I like both you guys take on corners. We need safety and linebackers ❤
I don't care what he runs, as long as he can stop an offense in the last 2 minutes of a game 👍
I'm happy this new defensive coordinator likes to play press coverage. Receivers are to good in the NFL to not challenge them at the line of scrimmage. Plus, it gives your pass rush more time to get to the quarterback and gives the defense more opportunities for turnovers.
Corner is a need for this team. We’re one injury away from another Corey Ballentine playing significant snaps again. Andy is dead on the nose with his analysis of Ja and Stoke missing so many games. It’s not a bad thing if GB takes a corner day 1-2. Especially day 1. It’s a premium position and in a passing league you can never have too many good corners.
Justice I feel for you man. I've been there. Andy, I love the new frame around the video.
WELCOME BACK ANDY
Okay I knwo it doesn't matter, but NFL football is by far the most popular professional sport in new england, like miles ahead
Preston has been the most consistent pass rusher on the team for the last 3-4 years… who cares if he’s 270. If you can play you can play. I’d say it’s better he doesn’t drop into coverage and is less versatile. If this new coach falls in love with body type over ability then the team is screwed right off the bat…
Luckily from Hafleys press conference it sounds like he doesn’t need a prototype size and speed to play in this defense. Idk the guest put too much into the guys we have needing to fit a criteria to play for the new dc. Preston will be fine and so will tj slayton
@@kylesiebenshuh1277 that’s what I loved to hear from Hafley in his press conference. He wants guys that can play and he’ll find out where to play em. Love to hear it!
@@gerbertron3226 agreed like the guest saying “idk what this means for Preston smith”. It means he’s going to put his hand in the dirt and rush the passer. TJ slayton is more of a run stop guys so we still need him. Teams still run the ball. Like what does this guy mean that tj doesn’t really have much of a role now
I have always preferred the 4-3 defensive system and I am glad the Packers are moving forward to it. One reason is, the 3-4 defensive scheme is more dependent upon maintaining a specific kind of talent on the roster. You need a spectacular nose tackle and highly versatile edges. When a starter goes down the backups are seldom as specialized. Also, since today’s game is almost entirely built around speed and misdirection, there are more ways than ever to get a rusher to the 2nd tier of the defense quickly, after which he’s got more traffic to contend with, but he’s probably already gained 5 yards before contact and is moving at a higher velocity too. The 4-3 defensive scheme is more stable with 4 lineman filling gaps and it depends on quality, hard-nosed and rangey LB’s (but not athletic superfreaks like edge players) who can stuff holes and drop into coverage. It’s a formation more likely to stop runners between tackles before they get up a head of steam.
i think it’s gotta be OLine, CB, or Edge in the first just based off of who the packers are but the quay pick was different so who knows
If we went 1st round OL, the rest of the draft defense with a RB in there somewhere I'd be content with that approach
OT is strong in the 1st round and we'll probably lose Nyman., then you go defense for the next 4 picks. Unless someone drops.
Our corners will get 8 interceptions in the new year. They will have a lot of fun making them one of the top five in the NFL
Cooper, JPJ, Connor B, or the Clemson CB, rd 1.... for this guy
If we're going 4 3 we need to draft CB right away
We need to be tough up the middle and bring in guys that can consistant tacklers . Draft class should be DT,2-LB,OT,S,RB,DB, 👍🏻👍🏻😁🤷🏼♂️
I honestly believe with this new defensive scheme over the next 3 seasons with the right players drafted by Gute in positions could be a key factor moving forward in the development of the defense‼️🤔🎯💯💯
Why are we paying Nixon to only do kickoff returns? All pro as a Kickoff returner seems hollow to me. At least receive all the punts so we can use his tools.
We aren't as of yesterday afternoon.
No offense but Justis constantly talking over Andy as hes trying to make a point drives me nuts. It's every episode with Justis. The reason it bothers me so much is it always sounds like Andy is about to make a great point and he just gets cut off.
Damn, I was told Andy would take Justis to task for his awful takes about CB :/
lol nvm just had to wait. Thank you Andy!
Next time you have Justis on encourage him to stop hating on the Packers WR 1. Doubs is the truth
Ain't just about CB lol
Justis is so wrong about his view of Packers cornerback situation. They need more corners. The guys they have are very questionable, except for Valentine. Cooper DeJean would be a perfect pick for the Packers.
I get the concern for the injury issues at corner but also we need to look at the fact that the strength and conditioning coaching was abysmal. I think a quality hire there will fix itself. There’s more depth right there if I’m correct.
ive been saying hell ya go packers on every pack a day video for so long i almost forgot it was a mitch trubisky reference
hell ya go packers
CB wouldn't be such a need if we hadn't given away Rasul 😞
I am not impressed with the guest speaker. For all the talking he did, he didn't give many good takes.
I enjoy these discussions a lot, but Justin, IMHO please eliminate "stuff like that" from your vocabulary. Tough to listen to.
Then don’t listen
PLS Justis..don't say Right every 10 seconds😬😬..thanks
I counted 13 "rights" between the 4:00 and 8:00 mark
Would love for pack to draft edgerrin cooper
That's why it lasts 54 minutes long
Couldn't agree more. I also commented on that a few weeks ago.
@@thehip1 I think that's who they're pickin
