It was a time where children and grandchildren didn't talk back to their elders much, I think. So I believe that's where it's coming from but Michelle WAS asked for her opinion 😂🤣
I miss me Bingo now git auwwt me wuy! Lou Beale had the best lines. Ian and Kathy need to do a tribute to her for EE 40th Anniversary, plus Arthur and Pete.
Always annoys me the way that Lou is such a shrinking violet. She should just come out with what she thinks, and stop being so scared of everyone's reaction. /s
I wonder if they ever thought Martin would be so tall ! . This is so long ago, I think I saw it in Sydney, where it was shown on the ABC television channel, in those days; before it was dropped because of the foreign accents etc, some years later. Paulene RIP, anna Wing, paulene's Mother is still alive, she is 94 years old. Eastenders must look strange to her now. . . Cheers. from, del-boy.
@@fretboardmaster70 Yeah but we're talking about Arta Fowler, nice guy and all that but he really took the biscuit when earning the title of ultimate loser.
Also, there were about 5 people living in that house (Arthur, Pauline, Lou, Michelle and Mark) and there was barely enough bedrooms to accommodate the people already living there and they're adding another person in making 6 so they were overcrowded enough
I'd forgotten what a cantankerous old bat Lou Beale was always harping on about the past and they used to do things when she was younger, times change and they do things differently than they did back then
She wasn't selfish, she had a point. She didn't want them on the street but Arthur was out of work, they were claiming benefits and barely had enough room for the 5 people living there at the time and so with Pauline being pregnant then there'd by 6 people. (Michelle wasn't pregnant at that point, I don't think). In her eyes, Pauline and Arthur were being irresponsible because they could barely provide for the people living there at the time. At this point, Lou was retired and Michelle was in school (not sure about Mark) so no money was coming in
@benbenalen Dear benben., Thanks for your comment. . Did you know, that, the person who will live to be 300 years old, has already been born? . . Cheers. from, del- boy.
Hardly! She’s about 40 here, that would be young to have stopped menstruating. Most women don’t go through menopause until quite a bit later than that. Around 50, most commonly.
I didn't realise Pauline became so much like her mum in the end (this clip was before my time)
Thought of that one while you were gratifying your lust 😂😂😂
'Chelle - I think it's their business
Arthur - Dont be so cheeky
How is that cheeky? 😅😅

No one wanted his Dinkey’s 😂😂😂😂 ooooooooeeeeeeerrrrr
Get out me way 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh mark was such a mood in this scene
He was always in a mood in the 80s
Forgive me for this, but even when Lou is abusive like this she's so damn funny
I've missed me bingo! lol
Brilliant scene. Miss OLD EastEnders!

she wasn't disgusted she was protective of pauline. you can see how upset she is when pauline stands up for herself.

That's how elderly people were then. Didn't mince their words.

the eastenders margaret thatcher
Don't tell lou beale that! She'd skin you alive.
🤣
At least common sense still prevailed back then
More like the Eastenders Kim Woodburn
I stopped watching years ago, I caught a bit of Classic EastEnders on TV recently, it was so depressing ….
Haha the old one looks like bliss compared to how dark and suicidal the modern one is.
Mark is so funny!:)😂😂😂💗🔐🌏
"No ones fault is it, except that cow at Number 10" - Somehow I don't think so....
Thanks to that cow at Number 10 I was unable to find a job when I left school.
@@philipdalton1000s There was her YTS !! I went straight on one.
Thanks to that cow at number ten she opened the gates to homophobic bullies at school
Thanks to that cow at number 10 she brought the country off it’s knees and gave the Union Jack back to the Falklands
"Your out to BLOODY WORK!" hahahaha 😂😂🤣🤣
Out OF work.
So was 3.5 million you old hag 😂😂😂😂

@@maratonlegendelenemirei3352 Arthur was a very kind man with a heart of gold. A quality so few people have nowadays.
She was brilliant!
She's pregnant, so what?
And because she was claiming benefits with one of the parents having just lost a job! - she was absolutely right!
Said Michelle after a night of noshing Dirty Den's pipe.

So selfish she would rather her daughter, son in law, grandson, grandaughter and future grandson be out on the street.

I think it was more selfish to have another child when their finances are stretched to the limit as is, unemployed and living in someone else.
I remember the generation of women like this.... matriarchal women who had lived hard lives.....
