I'm not going to defend bone-dry dunes, but I will defend it's visuals, they are AMAZING. The scenery is cool and diverse and I like the colorful cloth in contrast with the orange and brown of everything else. and the sand ship is very cool.
It's visuals are okay at best compared to other tracks in MK8 They are good but when compared to any other track they're pretty bland I do enjoy the darker sand color though as compared to normal desert tracks, making it feel more like a mesa
@@DonutCube I don't know why I hate it but I just kinda do It's the same for everyone else Everyone hates it but we just don't know why It just doesn't feel good to play I think it's because of the amount of turns and how they're done but I'm not sure And why I specifically didn't care for the visuals is it didn't hit what they were going for They made it look like a mesa but feel like a desert It would've been cooler to drive on the edge of rugged cliff sides, maybe expand the tunnel and add a small little mine

@@homura2112 that’s just ONE of his tracks. Not to mention mount wario, his 2 stadiums, and his colosseum. Those don’t scream wario. Toad harbor doesn’t have much to do with toads either. Most of the circuit tracks have little to do with the character tied to the track, etc
I'm gonna have to disagree with your take on Sky-High Sundae, because you're judging it based on the 8DX version. The Tour version is way better as it's not in anti-gravity so no floaty physics, the railings have collision, and all the trickable surfaces lend themselves well to Tour's auto-tricking. It's still not great, just a more interesting Excitebike Arena, but far from the worst Tour has to offer. @@gideonlosee the layout is extremely forgettable, and the only interesting thing it has going on is conveyor belts, which add nothing to the track except being something to break up straightaways
Tokyo blur is miles worse than sky high, even in 8DX Also I quite enjoy the floatiness of the track in 8DX, idk why, it's just fun to slowly float down and plan what to do when you hit the ground
Honestly, the floaty physics of the mk8d makes it a lot of fun to play and take certain shortcuts. It’s not the best track of all time but I think the hate it gets is a little much
Vanilla lake Mario kart tour it just looks like someone spilt a bowl of cereal and our tiny cars have to go around the mess with pipes in your way and way too short needs three laps.
It's definitely part of the "modern style". Which begins with MK64. Every game since 64 is a successor to THAT game. But NOTHING is a successor to SMK, except maybe Super Circuit. Which is like SMK64.
I mean tbf I would consider DS the beginning of the modern era of Mario Kart, considering it’s where we switched from the cartoonish logo to the more sleek Pro Racing logo. MKDS is a clear delineation of how Nintendo wanted Mario Kart to feel. It goes from wacky kart racer to now feeling like something more polished and innovative.
Bone Dry Dunes stinks, but so do most of the desert tracks in the series. I know a lot of people have nostalgia for Kalimari Desert, but the only exciting part is the shortcut through the train tunnel, otherwise it's mostly long, brown straightaways.
One very important thing to note about the Tour track you chose. You should judge the Tour version, not the MK8D version. The first thing you mentioned is that the track is anti-gravity, but that's only in MK8D as Tour doesn't even have any anti-gravity mechanics, so talking about it being floaty is irrelevant imo
7:27 As a Moonview fan, all of that diss sounds like you need to get good. Because just looking at it's position in the Nitro GP justifies why it is much difficult than other tracks outside of the Special Cup.
i've been playing mario kart wii for over a decade and i firmly think that MH is the hardest track in the game, even harder than RR, which is seen as the hardest edition of it there is a rhyme and reason to the car patterns, but i think learning that is harder than learning RR itself i can do both with no issue, but weaving in between cars, especially at the beginning can be tricky, at least for me
@@CherryColaCake it's a great track but not the best in Wii That easily goes to toad factory for me I also like coconut mall, Wii rainbow road, and grumble volcano better But I do think moonview is better than maple treeway
This genuinely makes me mad How the heck is sky high sundae worse than Tokyo blur Sky high sundae is amazing and Tokyo blur is at best bland and way smaller than all the other city tracks Also vanilla lake 2 is my favorite track in SMK because of the theming Driving around the giant lake is a good idea that almost every ice track after takes inspiration from in a small part of them Plus I think a remake could be amazing with the water mechanics and I've even been making my own remake which has a giant snowman in the middle of the lake This makes it so you can fall into the lake and drive around the snowman while not losing a huge amount of time but obviously going slower underwater and missing the shortcuts above, however it is also safer since most players will stay up top and won't be throwing items at you if you're in the lake Also everyone uses the excuse that N64 wario stadium is bad cuz it wasn't brought back but it literally should be brought back more than any other track All they have to do is add a few obstacles, some anti gravity and glider ramps, and make it a section based track, and boom it'll be one of the best in the series And finally, HOW THE HELL DID YOU EVEN CONSIDER MOONVIEW HIGHWAY?????? im genuinely confused Like im not a big moonview defender or anything but its literally a fan favorite track You, sir, are trying to incite a riot
@@pathogeneration5138 moonview is the biggest offender It's obviously one of the three circuit tracks because they're basic circuits Moonview doesn't even come close to being as bland as them
@@thechargedfoxie456yt2 I'm not sure precisely what this is asserting. Moderately pro-MOONVIEW defense? heh heh MOONVIEW is ok, pro and cons. In some ways, some times, NINTENDO knew what they were doing. It's easy to complain that Toad's Turnpike is such a basic, condensed track. But the reason is works ok, is basic is narrowness condenses the traffic, and the simplicity of the track, makes dodging the traffic the sole focus. Moonview is ok, and has way more visual interest. it's more superficially engaging, but at the same time, it's offset by being too easy to navigate. Even around the traffic.
@@pathogeneration5138 okay but how is it even remotely worse than any of the 3 circuit tracks? Even Daisy circuit I think is worse as it's only aesthetically pleasing but not near as fun to play as moonview And you missed moonviews whole gimmick, flying down the freeway at mach speed when hitting the boost panels In that way it's not so much about avoiding the cars it's more about hitting the speed boosts, which in turn make the cars harder to dodge anyways
Hey, just admit that you’re bad at Super Mario Kart and Super Circuit. It’s hard to tell if you’re playing a slower CC cause you ain’t drifting around the course. To give those courses credit, they’re testing your lines and your drifting.
@beanthebeanytps9574 it's the usual, even the Ranking system for Super Circuit promotes clean racing. It punishes you for relying on Reds, Star, Blue Shell and Lightning. You use Reds for defense but can't hit other racers.
@@apagan0075 Yeah I’m not great at the original, but I’ve noticed rubberbanding is nowhere near as ludicrous as in future entries, at least on Super’s 100cc vs 150 in the newer ones. If I get far ahead, feels like it takes a few mess ups for them to pass. As opposed to 64 where bumping a wall causes four racers to fly ahead. I dunno, maybe it gets worse later.
@robertlauncher AI doesn't function completely until you enter 150cc/Mirror/200cc in modern entries. 64's whole thing with rubberband is basically an FPS thing. The AI will recover faster if they're off screen, and the designated rival AI is faster than the player. Something that doesn't get mentioned is that they can't use Reds and Blue Shell, but they do use it in Super Circuit and foward.
bone-dry dunes gives me PTSD to how bad the rubber banding was for me, no matter how hard i tired, dry bowser would always catch up to me and it was really frustrating
I just really hate Baby Park. I know some people love it, but I personally can’t stand playing on it. But I can’t objectively call it the worst track in the games it’s in just because it’s 100% just an issue with how I enjoy Mario Kart (I’m just a competitive person in general, and you don’t really control your fate on Baby Park a majority of the time)
Honestly, I actually _prefer_ Vanilla Lake 2 over Vanilla Lake 1, because there's always been something about the geometry of the water hazard, placements of the ice blocks, and that shortcut through the snow that actually makes that course easier to navigate through, compared to the first one. In fact, I daresay that it's actually the easiest course in all of Super Mario Kart's special cup.
STOP THE EXCITEBIKE HATE! I honestly see Excitebike Arena as a more technical and longer Baby Park. While I agree that the straightaways can get boring, it's technical enough to provide that same level of action for me. All I want to see is a cross between Excitebike Arena and Baby Park, that'd be awesome. Imagine driving on a road filled with ramps, but the size of baby park! Do you go for UMT's on the turns or trick boosts? Use trick boosts for off-road shortcuts, there's so much you would be able to do! Sky high sundae is just worse Excitebike. They tried, but failed, to give it a worthy successor.
I agree with a lot of what was said here and I subscribed to this channel. My opinion not including retro courses: Super Mario Kart and the entire series= Bowser Castle 2- Vanilla Lake 1 and 2 are dishonorable mentions for not only this game but the entire series Mario Kart 64= Wario Stadium Mario Kart: Super Circuit= Snow Land Mario Kart: Double Dash!!= Dry Dry Desert Mario Kart DS= Figure-8 Circuit Mario Kart Wii= Luigi Circuit Mario Kart 7= Toad Circuit Mario Kart 8= Bone-Dry Dunes To be fair, I don’t find any of the nitro courses from Double Dash to 8 Deluxe to be awful… aside from Figure-8 Circuit.
DS's rendition of baby park is probably the worst mario kart track in the history of the series. It is painfully boring with this games item balance, feels scaled incredibly weird, and overall was just a terrible pick of a gcn track for that game.
My least favorite tracks in every game SMK (or Mario Kart since it's the first game in the series): Both Vanilla Lake tracks (those DAMN ice blocks man) Mario Kart 64: Toad's Turnpike on Mirror Mode Mario Kart Super Curcuit: Maybe Snow Land Mario Kart Double Dash: Sherbet Land Mario Kart DS: Figure-8 Circuit Mario Kart Wii: Luigi Circuit Mario Kart 7: Toad Circuit Mario Kart 8/8 Deluxe: Water Park
Sky-High Sundae is very fitting fro the whole Booster Pass with its awful visuals. The track design wouldn't be half bad if it wasn't for the oversaturated colors. The only good thing about the track is its music. Totally a banger
I agree with most of these although Toad’s Turnpike is WAY worse than Wario Stadium, imagine a figure 8 BUT WITH CARS, and don’t even get me started on this track on mirror mode… plus it’s boring as hell in it’s “”remake””.
I have to disagree with Wario Stadium (N64). Rainbow Road (N64) is even worse. The whole track has walls and the only things that make it remotely interesting are the starting jump, the lights drawing character faces and the Chomp. The track is arguably linger than Wario Stadium and it has nothing interesting going on. Other than the big jump and a smaller jumo in the middle, the whole track is basically flat with very broad turns Wario Stadium, as long as it is, at least has some more interesting stuff going on with the different hills and bumps and some sharp turns. The track is also way more bearable if you do the very easy shortcut at the start of the race which, let's be honest, everyone does
Excellent video and thoughtfully compiled. Agreed that Rosalina's Ice World is incredibly disappointing, even if not objectively bad. I also feel like Moonview Highway is just unnecessarily jank in Mario Kart Wii. Super cool theme, great music, but insanely brutal and super unfun to race on. 8 Deluxe fixed every problem I had with it by just letting me BREATHE on it lol. Sky High Sundae is definitely worse in 8 than Tour, though. I'm also not a huge Bone-Dry Dunes fan, but it's more ugly than it is bad. The shortcuts are pretty good and it IS better than Dry Dry Desert. Imo, Water Park is the worst. It's just so, so boring. And it has, what, one shortcut in the whole thing? Not to mention it's also basically an oval. It's a beautiful course, but outside of looks, I'd rather race Bone-Dry Dunes any day.
Sky High Sundae is actually OK in Mario Kart Tour. You shouldn't be judging it based on the Mario Kart 8 version if you are comparing it in Tour. Tokyo Blur 3 is the worst Tour track .
My list Super- Vanilla Lake 1 64- Wario Stadium Super Circuit- Snow Land Double Dash- Sherbet Land DS- Desert Hills Wii- Warios Gold Mine 7- Cheep Cheep Lagoon 8- Twisted Mansion Tour- London Loop
@@thechargedfoxie456yt2 Not much to be honest, both Wii and 7 have fantastic tracks so weaker tracks seem worst in comparison. I just don't really like Wario Goldmine theme and Cheep Cheep Lagoon has very little shortcut potential compared to tracks like Toad Circuit.

@@deadmeme739 theyve never lost me time? I know everyone else has been talking about the Sky High Sundae portion, so im going to shift to another topic because I disagree pretty hard on the points you make about Snow Land tbh. Ik the screen shake thing is usually the obvious flaw to point out but the fact it wasnt mentioned here feels strange because the other arguments kinda fall apart, especially right after you said the MK8 version is a significant glowup. Like you said that it's visually uninteresting, yet the MK8 version is pretty 1 to 1 from a theming perspective (especially compared to some other GBA tracks in the game), essentially being the exact same theme remastered to fit an HD environment. You also said the track design is uninspired and while, again, the MK8 version is almost exactly 1 to 1 aside from the added verticality, i feel like its a disservice to say that about the original version too because of the ice shortcuts unique to it. Plus you said the track lacks any identity beyond being an ice track, which i think is kind of pushing it considering the same can be said for a large chunk of tracks in Super Circuit. Riverside Park and even Yoshi Desert to an extent come to mind, as well as most of the Bowser Castles. Now all of this said, i do personally think that Snow Land is the weakest track in Super Circuit (admittedly because of one singular major flaw), so i don't necessarily disagree on the opinion. I just think some key aspects were left out here and the points that were made didnt have enough elaboration to give them legs to stand on. That said, i can always get behind Figure 8 Circuit hate lmao

It's fine if you don't like Sky High Sundae but most of your complaints don't make any sense. You said stuff like "what is this, some sort of alternate food dimension" and "it's so bright and saturated, it feels more like a Fall guys map than a Mario Kart track." Bro, Mario has been doing bright food/sweets based courses way before Fall Guys was even a thing (Kart, Party and even the mainline Super Mario games like Galaxy and Odyssey). It's not out of place at all for a Mario game. Also, there's no zero gravity in Tour so that "everything is in zero gravity" complaint isn't relevant when talking about Tour. The only reasonable complaint I understand is it being an oval.
it's probably because SHS has more saturated colors than normal the saturation in SSC/SSK is toned down more, so i suppose it was rated there due to being out of place? idk, i like SHS
My list is interesting. I havent played super and my exprience of tour is through 8 and 64 through the retro tracks. Mario Kart 64 (as a retro) Toad's Turnpike: Very vanilla as a course when you think about it. Sure it has cars but it was too obnoxious i guess in 64 and far to bland and uninspired in 8. Mario Kart Super Circuit Yoshi Desert: Due to MKSS' poor steering control, this is a fairly bland desert course with tough and annoying turns, hated this one ever since i was growing up. Mario Kart Double Dash Dry Dry Desert: I was always unsure with Double Dash since its track selection is consitently good, but after watching this, yeah dry dry desert is probably the worst. Mario Kart DS Figure 8 Circuit: Mario Kart but bland edition Mario Kart Wii Luigi Circuit: Too generic and short, its needs that quirky Mario Kart Wii style. Mario Kart 7 Toad Circuit: Come on Nintendo put some effort in your starter courses again. Mario Kart 8 Mario Circuit: Kind of gimmicky without a clear theme. Mario Kart Tour (through Booster Course Pass) Any city track in the first couple of waves: Seriously bland, and mario kart shouldn't emulate gran turismo. If my age was more than one digit by then, it's "modern".
Well @Dan_- it's almost 18 year old now
It's definitely part of the "modern style".
I loathe Yoshi Falls.
Because just looking at it's position in the Nitro GP justifies why it is much difficult than other tracks outside of the Special Cup.
i've been playing mario kart wii for over a decade and i firmly think that MH is the hardest track in the game, even harder than RR, which is seen as the hardest edition of it
there is a rhyme and reason to the car patterns, but i think learning that is harder than learning RR itself
i can do both with no issue, but weaving in between cars, especially at the beginning can be tricky, at least for me
@@CherryColaCake And that's the beauty of the track. Because MKWii is all about skill culumination, right?
@@quinnmcmurtrie8022 it does make for a fun challenge now but if you asked me this question in 2016 i would have laughed at you and called you insane
Moonview is literally a fan favorite of Wii
Idk how this man doesn't have an angry mob outside his house
@@CherryColaCake it's a great track but not the best in Wii
That easily goes to toad factory for me

But I do think moonview is better than maple treeway
Slander against Vanilla Lake 2.... aw man....
Excitebike on 200cc is a fantastic time
This genuinely makes me mad
How the heck is sky high sundae worse than Tokyo blur
Sky high sundae is amazing and Tokyo blur is at best bland and way smaller than all the other city tracks
Also vanilla lake 2 is my favorite track in SMK because of the theming
Driving around the giant lake is a good idea that almost every ice track after takes inspiration from in a small part of them
Plus I think a remake could be amazing with the water mechanics and I've even been making my own remake which has a giant snowman in the middle of the lake
This makes it so you can fall into the lake and drive around the snowman while not losing a huge amount of time but obviously going slower underwater and missing the shortcuts above, however it is also safer since most players will stay up top and won't be throwing items at you if you're in the lake
Also everyone uses the excuse that N64 wario stadium is bad cuz it wasn't brought back but it literally should be brought back more than any other track
All they have to do is add a few obstacles, some anti gravity and glider ramps, and make it a section based track, and boom it'll be one of the best in the series
And finally, HOW THE HELL DID YOU EVEN CONSIDER MOONVIEW HIGHWAY??????
im genuinely confused
Like im not a big moonview defender or anything but its literally a fan favorite track
You, sir, are trying to incite a riot
Yes, it is mostly turgid.
VL2 is vastly misunderstood, by those who are punished by it, fail to achieve a sharp lap on it, and cry.
@@pathogeneration5138 moonview is the biggest offender
It's obviously one of the three circuit tracks because they're basic circuits
Moonview doesn't even come close to being as bland as them
@@thechargedfoxie456yt2
I'm not sure precisely what this is asserting.
Even Daisy circuit I think is worse as it's only aesthetically pleasing but not near as fun to play as moonview
And you missed moonviews whole gimmick, flying down the freeway at mach speed when hitting the boost panels
In that way it's not so much about avoiding the cars it's more about hitting the speed boosts, which in turn make the cars harder to dodge anyways
What did you say about Luigi Circuit?! 😡😡😡 Luigi Circuit is a Masterpiece, a work of art, the perfect beginner track, what did you do?! 😅
I was with you until Skyhigh Sundae, it’s legit my favorite of the booster courses. It’s a lot of fun and high speed, and I love the sweets theme
Hey, just admit that you’re bad at Super Mario Kart and Super Circuit. It’s hard to tell if you’re playing a slower CC cause you ain’t drifting around the course. To give those courses credit, they’re testing your lines and your drifting.
Yesss I’m so tired of these UA-camrs always giving these games shit when the whole point of the game is to just… get good, as dumb as that sounds.
@beanthebeanytps9574 it's the usual, even the Ranking system for Super Circuit promotes clean racing. It punishes you for relying on Reds, Star, Blue Shell and Lightning. You use Reds for defense but can't hit other racers.
@@apagan0075 A million times yes
(Also I love how you can place red shells as heat-seeking ladmines lol)
The best thing sky high sundae brought is it's music, I actually really it
bone-dry dunes gives me PTSD to how bad the rubber banding was for me, no matter how hard i tired, dry bowser would always catch up to me and it was really frustrating
I just really hate Baby Park. I know some people love it, but I personally can’t stand playing on it. But I can’t objectively call it the worst track in the games it’s in just because it’s 100% just an issue with how I enjoy Mario Kart (I’m just a competitive person in general, and you don’t really control your fate on Baby Park a majority of the time)
For a racing game "let God take the wheel" is an accurate slogan for baby park
10:48 but ice cream🤤
Moonview Highway is the bane of my existence…
Skill Issue? 👀
The best part about wario stadium is that it had a port to gmod
I agree with a lot of what was said here and I subscribed to this channel. My opinion not including retro courses:
Super Mario Kart and the entire series= Bowser Castle 2- Vanilla Lake 1 and 2 are dishonorable mentions for not only this game but the entire series
Mario Kart 64= Wario Stadium
Mario Kart: Super Circuit= Snow Land
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!= Dry Dry Desert
Mario Kart DS= Figure-8 Circuit
Mario Kart Wii= Luigi Circuit
Mario Kart 7= Toad Circuit
Mario Kart 8= Bone-Dry Dunes
To be fair, I don’t find any of the nitro courses from Double Dash to 8 Deluxe to be awful… aside from Figure-8 Circuit.
DS's rendition of baby park is probably the worst mario kart track in the history of the series. It is painfully boring with this games item balance, feels scaled incredibly weird, and overall was just a terrible pick of a gcn track for that game.
My least favorite tracks in every game
SMK (or Mario Kart since it's the first game in the series):
Both Vanilla Lake tracks (those DAMN ice blocks man)
Mario Kart 64:
Toad's Turnpike on Mirror Mode
Mario Kart Super Curcuit:
Maybe Snow Land
Mario Kart Double Dash:
Sherbet Land
Mario Kart DS:
Figure-8 Circuit
Mario Kart Wii:
Luigi Circuit
Mario Kart 7:
Toad Circuit
Mario Kart 8/8 Deluxe:
Water Park
Sky-High Sundae is very fitting fro the whole Booster Pass with its awful visuals. The track design wouldn't be half bad if it wasn't for the oversaturated colors. The only good thing about the track is its music. Totally a banger
SSC had opposite issues witgh colors
I agree with most of these although Toad’s Turnpike is WAY worse than Wario Stadium, imagine a figure 8 BUT WITH CARS, and don’t even get me started on this track on mirror mode… plus it’s boring as hell in it’s “”remake””.
I like toads turnpike
The figure 8 ship is bland but drifting through the cars (especially on 8) is actually pretty fun
My list of the worst courses
SMK - Choco Island 2
MK64 - Rainbow Road
MKSC - Rainbow Road
MKDD - Baby Park
MKDS - Mario Circuit
MKWii - Dry Dry Ruins
MK7 - Bowser's Castle
MK8 - Dolphin Shoals & Rainbow Road
MK8 DLCs - Animal Crossing
MKTour - Sky High Sundae
For Mario kart tour you should put Tokyo blur. Sky high sundae is the 2nd worst and Tokyo blur is first worst
well guess who ended up on sir moresty
How did you even consider putting Moonview Highway on your list when it has soo much stuff going on in it!
I think I’m the odd one out for actually liking Wario Stadium N64.
Damn near favorite track from 64. He’s tripping for even putting in in this video
Other than the big jump and a smaller jumo in the middle, the whole track is basically flat with very broad turns
Wario Stadium, as long as it is, at least has some more interesting stuff going on with the different hills and bumps and some sharp turns.
My list
Super- Vanilla Lake 1
64- Wario Stadium
Super Circuit- Snow Land
Double Dash- Sherbet Land
DS- Desert Hills
Wii- Warios Gold Mine
7- Cheep Cheep Lagoon
8- Twisted Mansion
Tour- London Loop
What's wrong with warios goldmine and cheep cheep lagoon?
@@thechargedfoxie456yt2 Not much to be honest, both Wii and 7 have fantastic tracks so weaker tracks seem worst in comparison. I just don't really like Wario Goldmine theme and Cheep Cheep Lagoon has very little shortcut potential compared to tracks like Toad Circuit.
@@deadmeme739 toad circuit is just genuinely bad though
Cheep cheep lagoon shows off underwater well
Also there's already 2 shortcuts built into the track
The one glider one and then the small wall area on the side of the underwater part
@@thechargedfoxie456yt2 how is toad circuit bad? It's simple sure, but nothing about is terribly designed + has a decently challenging shortcut through the pipes at the end. The shortcuts in Cheep Cheep Lagoon actually lose you time so I don't consider them shortcuts, to me they're alternate paths.
@@deadmeme739 theyve never lost me time?
But toad circuit is just so bland and simple compared to other circuit tracks (except figure 8) and especially any other track in 7
The glide over the bridge is okay but it doesn't really show it off as well as other tracks like Daisy hills right after
And all the obstacles (the pipes) are only at the very end
Everything before that is a wide and bland track
Here’s mine
SMK: Vanilla Lake 1
MK64: Wario Stadium
MKSC: Snow Land
MKDD: Dry Dry Desert (I actually like every single MKDD track unfortunately the is my least favorite outta the 16)
MKDS: Yoshi Falls

MK7: Cheep Cheep Lagoon
MK8: Dolphins Shoals
1:25 overhated. One of my favourite SNES tracks.

N64: Luigi Raceway
GBA: Peach Circuit
GCN: Luigi Circuit
DS: Figure 8 Circuit
Wii: Luigi Circuit
3DS: DK Jungle
Switch (Wii U is 🗑️ lol): 3DS Toad Circuit
It's fine if you don't like Sky High Sundae but most of your complaints don't make any sense.
You said stuff like "what is this, some sort of alternate food dimension" and "it's so bright and saturated, it feels more like a Fall guys map than a Mario Kart track."
Bro, Mario has been doing bright food/sweets based courses way before Fall Guys was even a thing (Kart, Party and even the mainline Super Mario games like Galaxy and Odyssey). It's not out of place at all for a Mario game. Also, there's no zero gravity in Tour so that "everything is in zero gravity" complaint isn't relevant when talking about Tour. The only reasonable complaint I understand is it being an oval.
it's probably because SHS has more saturated colors than normal
the saturation in SSC/SSK is toned down more, so i suppose it was rated there due to being out of place? idk, i like SHS
My list is interesting. I havent played super and my exprience of tour is through 8 and 64 through the retro tracks.
Mario Kart 64 (as a retro)
Toad's Turnpike: Very vanilla as a course when you think about it. Sure it has cars but it was too obnoxious i guess in 64 and far to bland and uninspired in 8.
Mario Kart Super Circuit
Yoshi Desert: Due to MKSS' poor steering control, this is a fairly bland desert course with tough and annoying turns, hated this one ever since i was growing up.
Mario Kart Double Dash
Dry Dry Desert: I was always unsure with Double Dash since its track selection is consitently good, but after watching this, yeah dry dry desert is probably the worst.
Mario Kart DS
Figure 8 Circuit: Mario Kart but bland edition
Mario Kart Wii
Luigi Circuit: Too generic and short, its needs that quirky Mario Kart Wii style.
Mario Kart 7
Toad Circuit: Come on Nintendo put some effort in your starter courses again.
Mario Kart 8
Mario Circuit: Kind of gimmicky without a clear theme.
Mario Kart Tour (through Booster Course Pass)
Any city track in the first couple of waves: Seriously bland, and mario kart shouldn't emulate gran turismo. At least later city tracks like singapore speedway and the vancouver and madrid ones were kinda cool. Music of all of them was great tho.

Hello 👋🏻
If there is one thing that can salvage the opening "Circuit" tracks? The "Circuit" music theme abaolutely slaps.
SNES: Vanilla Lake 2 - just.. no
N64: Moo Moo Farm - not horrible, but just the weakest, i will say Toad's Turnpike is worse on mirror mode
GBA: Snow Land - largely the same reason as SNES, which sucks, i love ice themed stages
GCN: Mario Circuit - it's inoffensive, but just the weakest
DS: Figure-8 Circuit - worst track in the whole game if we're being honest
Wii: Luigi Circuit - almost said Mario or Daisy's iteration, but MC has a slightly more interesting layout and i've had some of the most chaotic races on it, and DC has a sunset, which kind of makes it different
3DS: Toad Circuit - the Mario's iteration of it is actually kinda dynamic
Wii-U: Bowser's Castle - FINALLY a take no one can get behind. it was actually in competition with all of the Special Cup except maybe minus CTC, but man this one feels cheap...? the middle section isn't identical to Wii's but honestly Wii did it better. other than that this track feels kinda boring and probably honestly too easy. the other tracks honestly have something else to them that makes them stronger than this. sorry
Tour: Tokyo Blur - i don't really like any of the real life city tracks outside of LA, the "take a different path each lap" felt kinda overdone to me, and this one just feels so weak
i also want to say Ninja Hideaway as well. i didn't like it either
if i get flamed and hated for these takes i am going to deserve it, because i am a piece of garbage who sucks at life and can't do anything hahahahahahahahahah lol
I don't agree with vanilla lake 2
It's my favorite in SMK because it has the best theme of any of the tracks
Also snow land isn't bad because it's an ice track, it's bad cause of the stupid screen shake and I hate that they added that
But I don't agree with Wii u Bowser castle
It's genuinely pretty decent as far as bowser castles go and ain't no way it's worse than bone dry dunes
I'd even say sweet sweet canyon is worse cuz I just never have fun on sweet sweet canyon
Cheep Cheep Lagoon is worse than Toad Circuit
No. Not even close
Toad circuit is just downright bad
I'm a heavy 7 defender but even I don't understand what the developers were thinking with toad circuit
The only track I think is even close to being worse is the remake of N64 Luigi raceway in 7
I'd say my worst picks would be:
SNES - Choco Island 2
N64 - Moo Moo Farm
GBA - Broken Pier
GCN - Sherbet Land
DS - Desert Hills
Wii - Grumble Volcano
3DS - Daisy Hills
Wii U - Bone-Dry Dunes
Tour - Tokyo Blur 2
I don't agree with grumble volcano or Daisy hills
Daisy hills is just aesthetically pleasing and has a good layout
And everyone shits on grumble volcano cuz "track too hard I cant git gud"
Sky High Sundae is peak
Worst retro tracks:
DS: GCN Baby Park
Wii: GCN DK Mountain
3DS: SNES Rainbow Road
Wii U/Switch: N64 Toad's Turnpike
GCN DK Mountain is one of the best retro tracks in the series.

Grumble Volcano is definitely the worst Wii Track, I hate that course so much, its seems every time I played I get bumped into the lava for stupid reasons. I despise that track, its a horrible finale from one of the best cups ever that are the Wii Star Cup. Daisy Circuit, Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway are all bangers, but then comes this awful track to end it off, yeah, it sucks, but I still love the Star Cup despite of this course.
I actually really like Grumble Volcano. I thought the way that the track slowly breaks away as the laps progress is a really cool gimmick. I'm also a big fan of lava stages like the Bowser's castle tracks because of their difficulty.
But yeah, getting bumped onto lava is awful.
Bad at Game doesn't equal Bad Track
I like Grumble Volcano because of the things you dislike, I believe that since the difficulty it had makes it better

I would say sky high sundae is better in tour.
The city tracks in tour are not as good in tour though because, you know how a track changes each lap? Most of those laps were individual courses.
Tokyo blur laps one and two… well they live up to their name. It’s a blur, there’s nothing to see on them
Idk, but I kinda like sky high sundae
And whenever it’s in your if you don’t have stupid as fuuuuuucc bots, it’s quite fun in tour
The only track that I would call bad is probably baby pack it’s just a oval
Yeah, at leassst the other oval, Excccitebike Arena, had plenty of tricksss to keep you occupied… and tricksss go BRRRRR
Finally, someone agrees with me that baby park is the worst
It’s only good in mk8 deluxe
I’ve heard people complain about Figure 8 Circuit for having a boring shape, and Shroom Ridge for having the cars to crash into. Yet these same people think Toad’s Turnpike is great. It’s literally the two aspects of Figure 8 and Shroom Ridge they hate the most put together.
I’ve also heard people complain about Excitebike having a generic shape and not having much to do, then proceeding to talk about how much they love Baby Park.
In other words, it’s best to not let other people’s opinions bother you. Some people are just idiots.
@@kevinasare4178 It sucks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Peach Circuit is the worst GBA track

Luigi Circuit for Wii
3DS is Toad Circuit
8's is Bone Dry Ruins
I'm only going to list nitros from games I've played personally:
Double Dash's Bowser's Castle is very basic and bland compared to the others. It needs an overhaul.
DS's DK Pass is underhated honestly. Super forgettable and doesn't feel like a Donkey Kong track at all. It's basically what DK Summit in Wii eventually did better.
Wii Grumble Volcano might be beloved by many, but I hate its visuals and layout. Not fun to play on in my opinion.
8's Cloudtop Cruise is super boring and bland. I don't like the theming at all.
Tour's New York Minute just isn't as cool as the rest honestly.
