How is Toy Story Racer not on this list!? The fact it isn't even mentioned hurts my soul 😢
100% recommended
I honestly thought that KartRider was going to be on this list because how obscure the game is since they release KartRider: Drift in 2023 however that the servers going to close down in global to refocused the PC platfrom in Korea and Taiwan, because it was release in 2004 as Crazyracing KartRider and it was very popular in Korea
For both modes, there’s item and speed mode and there’s actually a esports tournament
M&M kart for the wii
The all-time greatest *Mario Kart* ripoff is *Crash Team Racing. CTR* is even better than the core *Crash Bandicoot* games.
bollocks. playstation are crap at imitating nintendo
I think Mod Nation on the PS3 is the best.
@@RyGuy42089big agree
It's better than every Mario Kart combined
It's a toss-up between CTR and Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed for me.
CTR: Nitro Fueled is genuinely the only other kart racer outside of Mario Kart I always find myself going back to or recommending to friends. I think future Mario Kart games should look to it as inspiration for how jam-packed with content and replay value it offers. Beenox (developers) did INCREDIBLY solid with this one and is nothing but a love letter to the entire Crash series
Same here. As you can see from my pic lol
No Lego Racers?! How disapointing...
Or beach buggy racing
I loved lego racers
Yeah, but lego racers is not a rip-off
Which is good😮💨
@nensibubic9331 well i would say every racer Game with some big name lego or sonic is some kind of rip off Mario Kart
It's good that someone knows about it. I had fun playing it.
Diddy Kong and Crash did it best.
Both great and not rip offs
@@RJAthey are great games and have uniqueness to them but they clearly ripped off mario kart lol.
diddy kong had planes in it which i hated, boats i also hated.
crash team racing is just a bad game
the old 1 you need to collect letters + winning the race.. if you not get the letters you lose i think?
the new game is not about racing but about taking shortcuts, that game is just ridiculous.. i just loved the customization
you might buy 1 game in 6 months, i had a xbox ps and nintendo and every month 3 new games.. some might play a lot racing but i go from racing to mortal kombat to fifa to puzzle games and even point and click.
personally for me nothing was ever better then mario kart, but since i played 8 on my wii u it's normal that i never enjoyed 8 on my switch.. only played a few hours.
@@theelitegamer1980 you don't need to gather all letters to win, is just a challenge for 100% it, the options of customizations and characters in the game make even better than Mario Kart imo
Crash Team Racing is absolutely amazing but you have to play it well to feel it. The difference of speed and feeling between a noob and a seasoned player is huge. Once you can play decently, it leaves Mario Kart in the dust.
Is that the reason I said back in 1999/2000 CTR>Mario Kart 64?😮
I like that game ,but I'm ju😢 godawful at it. Oh well
True, so sad people don't rate that game because they are not good enough. Because this is the best racing game ever
@@BUPMY1 Yes and CTR > Every racing game still now.
Mario Kart 64 was really overrated btw
Crash team racing is better than mario kart to me
7:43 "This was pretty much a carbon copy with Crash Bandicoot characters."
As someone who likes both Mario Kart and CTR... no??? What are you smoking? Besides both being kart racers, CTR has a lot of unique mechanics that Mario Kart didn't have at the time, and still kinda doesn't.
Exactly. The gameplay is actually way more advanced than MK. To actually become really good you need to learn a lot of tricks.
Diddy Kong Racing didn’t “include Rare characters” per se. Banjo and Conker got their debut in DKR and eventually made their way to their own titles. 😁 Love the vids! Keep ‘em coming!
Conker was already in production at this point (and was still a kiddie game).
@@pigs18So was Banjo
@@pigs18doesn't really matter, DKR was still their first appearance. Nobody in 1997 said to themselves "oh wow they included Banjo"
They pulled a sonic or Kirby and appeared early but as a playable character
"This was a carbon copy with Crash characters" and that statement is inherently wrong. Crash Team Racing was literally made by taking Mario Kart AND Diddy Kong Racing mechanics (as said by its developers) and by improving on it and making it its own thing.
its NOT a Carbon copy of Mario Kart (all you had by then was SMK and MK64) , it introduced a lot of mechanics like proper drift boosting and jump boosting you see in kart racers today , crazy ass shortcuts, a full adventure mode all the way back when in 1999.
also Sony didn't make Crash Team Racing as Sony never owned the IP. Universal did and the ones who made this were Naughty Dog. at any rate in my opinion you can call it inspired by Mario Kart but Carbon Copy is straight up false.
that said it is my favorite Kart Racer of all time , it is amazing on PS1 (which is getting a decomp/pc port soon). and the Remake is now on XBOX Gamepass which is just perfect.
That's why I call games like CTR "Mario Kart Style." It takes the whole cartoony racing game with items that Mario Kart does but still does its own thing with it.
I find the racing in it irritating. It's a bit clunky
CTR is a ripoff. Deal with it.
@kingstarscream320 Not all cartoony kart racers are Mario Kart rip offs. They exist, but that doesn't make CTR one of them.
@@kingstarscream320 no it isn't you 🤡, CTR is inspired by other games and made its own thing. that's not being a ripoff. being a ripoff is all the MK clones you see on Mobile.
1:43 correction : they did not "add" Rare characters. Diddy Kong Racing is the first game to feature Banjo and Conker. They originated in that game. Every character except Diddy is a new character. Banjo had his own game a year later, and Conker 2 years later.
calling CTR a rip off is crazy
Well, it us
the only Crash racing game I would call a "rip-off" is Crash tag team racing because it also has two characters per kart like in double dash, but even then it does things completely diferent since half the game is a sandbox 3d platformer and shooting weapons for the player in the back of the kart rather than just relying on items
the original CTR blows Mario kart 64 out of the water for me(even tho MK64 is a great game).
learning the boost sliding mechanic makes CTR much more fun and satisfying to play
It’s definitely a ripoff doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not great
@@stevesteve0521A game about a character driving a car vs a game about a character driving a car. What a massive rip-off amirite
“For some reason, Garfield has always been incredibly popular and I have never understood the appeal” that broke my heart… Garfield was my fav cartoon as a kid. To this day I still buy a Garfield calendar annually. I’ve been doing so for the last 20+ years.
I agree they had no business making a kart game with the license but I’m upset
Don't feel bad about it. This guy just have shit taste.
Different strokes
He said Nickelodeon shoe though. The version the kart racer is based on was from CN.
Yeah, this guy seems incredibly negative about everything💀 man can't see the bright side to save his life
CTR > Mario Kart
Opinion handled. 👍
Absolutely 🫡
Not@@-Down-D-Stairs-
Yes, but you have to play a lot and get good to see how fun and skill heavy the game is. Any noob will play MK style, waddle like a snail and conclude the game is boring.
This game is super fast and it's a blast but you have to deserve it.
I played it recently and no way.. the rubber banding in ctr is downright unfair and terrible
CTR skill ceiling is absolute insanity once you start chaining those drift boosts. There's no racing game out there that comes even close to it.
I Hate when people call these "RipOffs" just because Mario kart basically popularized the genre. In my humble opinion, Mario Kart gets really stale, really quick without an Adventure/Story mode, which is why i prefer most other kart racing games, such as my favorite Racing Game of all time, Crash Team Racing and Walt Disney World Racing Tour! (Diddy Kong Racing would easily be up there IF only i could play it lol)
I'm glad to see someone else mention that great Disney World kart racer
Here's something you probably didn't know Diddy Kong racing was the first game to introduce Conker and Banjo before rare introduce them in there own games
You forgot Jak X: Combat Racing. That one is one of the best as well.
That wasnt a rip off of Mario Kart but a spin off of Jak 3
bro i fucking loved that game. shit was too damn fun
Whoa a Jak X mention (i speedrun the game so its good to see other fans of the game)
I'm still waiting on racing spinoffs for Uncharted and The Last of Us.
@ColinElkin-ce1337 only if its Death Race Style and you drive through hoards of the zombies
You failed to mention and showcase Crash Nitro Cart, which was an entirely new engine, physics and a sequel to Crash Team Racing.
(It capitalized on the original Xbox's new graphics at the time, but there was also a version for the PlayStation 2)
it also introduced anti gravity mechanics 12 years before mario kart 8
Plus Crash Tag Team Racing, a plataformer slash shooter slash racing game
I've played thru CTR many times but man, I can not stand CNK sloppy physics and complete lack of speed. Less tracks also makes the game just feel like a subpar rehash of the gold standard CTR. I just don't want to bother completing the Velo times.
@@augustojacques2145it's kinda boring when merge you automatically win
The Final Boss Race Sucked Ass
Everything else was solid but weaker that CTR
Saying CTR is a copy of MK is the most ignorant statement i heard in a whiles as a fan of both CTR leaves MK in the dust when we talk about race track, mechanics, speed (when you're decent).
Very frustrating to see a huge injustice towards not only to crash, but racing game in general.
11:09 This line really hits close to home. There’s actually people out there making fun of others for actually being a fan of the series just because of the “Pac-Man never evolved past the first game” misconception.
I am genuinely surprised that Lego Racers is not on this list.
It had a pretty decent campaign mode, Diddy Kong Racing style item upgrades, and genuinely difficult boss races.
Not to mention you get to build your own cart and character out of Legos.
Oh, and Mortal Kombat Armageddon had a side mode called Motor Kombat, a pretty violent take on the Kart Racer that focused its items to being mostly character specific to stun others, and you could also bump other characters to fall into the many death traps on the courses.
I was surprised that not only was Motor Kombat not on this list, but you were the only comment I saw about it.
I hate when Mfs call any racing game a “mario kart rip-off” like stfu already
*Kart racing game
@@skull_reviews4964 Exactly, it’s annoying. Most of them are better than Mario Kart anyway. I can never get into Mario Kart no matter what.
@@skull_reviews4964 ikr like not everything is a mario rip off these mario fan boys man I swear it's like calling GTA 6 a mario odyssey rip off 😂😂
It's the biggest rip off in gaming history. CTR is the Wish version of Mario kart
@@Dripikdrippydipsdropkicksfishers price version of CTR says what?
You forgot one of the most obscure kart games. South Park Rally.
Angry Birds Go was a good Mario Kart clone until Rovio ruined it with Update 2.0.
Idk if the title is supposed to be clickbaity but I feel like calling the games “rip offs” is disingenuous. Why not just call them kart racers? It’s a legitimate genre innovated (and perfected) by Mario Kart but that doesn’t make every kart racer a rip off
Walt Disney World Magical Racing Tour for PS1 was one of the best MK64 rip-offs. My favorite as a kid.
Same, but for me it's the PC. When it comes to the consoles it's Chocobo Racing for the PS1.
What about Disney Speed Storm, is it the same as Magical Racing Tour...?
THAT'S IT! THAT'S THE GAME I REMEMBER PLAYING AT A GROCERY STORE AS A KID! (there was a room with a playplace style climbing area, a lego table, a tv with a video player and playstation where you could pay to leave your kids to be watched while you were shopping) nice to know that was a real game and not a false memory lmao
I think Team Sonic Racing is really underrated. The things they did to encourage team play were very clever. Being able to help a teammate recover from spin out faster by driving near them, the lead member of a team leaving behind a trail that gives their teammates a speed boost while they’re inside, stuff like that was smart. Unfortunately, the fact that team trading items back and forth charges your super meter extremely quickly is broken, and does deflate the game a bit.
OMG, another rare person who actually likes TSR as well. Honestly, I thought I was the only one who did.😌🙏
@@henrydiamond3435 Oh yeah. Very fun game, even with the aforementioned balance issue. I will also always be disappointed by the roster, but at least they got Blaze and Vector so I have my favorites. Overall, very underrated game.
@Waffletigercat Definitely, plus the ost is a huge banger as always.
@@henrydiamond3435 When it comes to Sonic even the shittiest of games got a banger soundtrack.
TSR got too repetitive half way through and the tracks rotation made it a slog
I miss little brother and I playing Diddy Kong racing. Now we’re both men in our 30s with families. Time flies! 🥺
He really said ““ctr is not a “bad” game”” and “ctr is a carbon copy of mk”, and also “ctr isn’t as polished as mk. What tf is this clown actually on about? Ctr is literally known as one of the greatest kart racers of all time, if not the best. 2, Ctr separates itself from the rest with perfectly implementing the aspect of “easy to learn, hard to master” in its controls, which also makes it much deeper than mk. Finally, Ctr is quite known for some of the tightest and smooth controls in kart racer history, especially for its time. What game were you playing? Because ctr is definitely “polished”. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. So do us a favor and never talk about and disrespect Ctr again. Immediate dislike.
I really can't stand how every Kart Racer is a "Mario Kart Ripoff" as if Mario Kart owns the genre. No one says that about Doom and shooters or Gran Turismo etc. Only when it comes to Nintendo properties like Mario Kart, Smash Bros., and Mario Party is anything in ghe dame genre suddenly a "rip-off." Nintendo doesn't own entire genres or styles of games even if they did them first.
FPS games *were* called doom clones...
I agree with what your saying, but your points are wack. In the past, people actually DID call FPS games Doom clones, Gran Turismo wasn't the first popular racing game, nobody says Smash Bros. clone because Smash Bros. is just a fighting game. Lastly, can you think of any good Mario Party clones? The only ones I can think of are Sonic Shuffle, Wii Party U and Crash Bash. Those are shitty cashgrabs :/
They did.
FPS' were called Doom Clones until well into the N64/PS1 Era.
@@-Down-D-Stairs- Not only were FPSes called Doom Clones for a long time, but people do call platform fighters Smash Clones sometimes.
@@koolaid33 Crash bash is only a "clone" in the sense that it also has minigames.

Broke: Thinking Mario Kart 64 was the greatest mascot kart racer of the 5th Console Generation.
Woke: Admitting Diddy Kong Racing did it better.
Bespoke: Knowing Crash Team Racing is the supreme kart racer of the 5th Console Gen.

How is Lego Racers not on this list?!
I remember Lego Racers! It was fun but the AI was cheap.
Loved that game. You can cheese the game with the warp turbo 😂😂
@@Anthonyvideogame Yep!
Man, I wish you hadn't skipped Crash Tag Team Racing. The car-morphing mechanic was so cool!
The Nickelodeon racers hit on one really good idea. The pit crew mechanic is such a smart addition to the classic formula, especially when played in draft mode. However, as you said, the track design and visuals feel really bland, and the karts also feel just generally kinda wonky to control. It makes the games not great to play. Which is such a shame because, again, the pit crew mechanic in 2 and 3 is SO COOL and I really want to see a kart racer with better game feel adopt the same idea.
I really love Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled and Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed
mod nation racers was one of my favourite games of all time, the track customization was amazing
shoutout CTR Nitro Fueled, shoutout GARFIELD KART!!!
"I am not the biggest Garfield fan, Looney Tunes fan or Disney fan..."

19:28 You barely scratched the surface 😂. Mickey Speedway is a super underrated and slept on Kart Racer
Toy Story Racer Missing
"I know [Garfield] had a Nickelodeon show."
He actually hasn't. His specials were syndicated, Garfield & Friends was CBS, and The Garfield Show was Cartoon Network.
Yeah the whole video is very poorly researched lol
@drnanard9605 Also made me feel old "catered to ppl born in the '90s" and referring to Crash's popularity as peaking in the 2000s when really it was the '90s.
No hello kitty cruisers or m&m racing? Fun video, but you miss a lot of strange obscure ones that would be fun to talk about
Those characters in Diddy Kong Racing originated from this game and then made their appearances in later rare games
Conker was still an innocent boy in diddy Kong racing
8:08 Didn’t even mention that in CTR when you have 10 Wumpa you can use the upgraded version of your item.
Around 9:17
I think CTR is a copy sure but it's vastly superior. I would take ctr over Mario kart any day
CTR > Mario Kart always without a doubt
All the way, no Mario Kart can top it.
In terms of racing alone, Disney Speedstorm feels faster and more fun than Mario Kart imo. Unfortunately the greed and unlock system in that game sucks.
I agree about the unlock system, I wish it was a better/free and more linear way to do things :D
So i used to love Disney Speedstorm, i put 67 hours into it, but there's a whole issue as to why i stopped
I joined nearing the end of the Frozen event, which, seemingly things started going downhill by then, but the game was fine. However it was after the Frozen event that everything went to hell. The company just started getting greedier and greedier, they made it harder to ublock good racers, made it inpossible to buy the premium pass with tokens, they then apparently started adding eandom loot chests to everything with super low chances (i can't say too much about that as i dropped the gane by then), they split the events into two under a false guise, but it was so you had to purchase two premium passes to unlock things in the event that used to he singular. They stopped paying VA's to voice characters, they kept making things less and less enjoyable unless you spent money, they kept making things harder to get unless you spent money, they started locking all the useful and best things behind paywalls. And yes, if you couldn't afford to keep up, your progress just stopped. The events require certain characters and certain levels to progress, if you don't have them you can't progress further which means you can't get more rewards for completing more of the events. You can't do online races since you can't compete with the whales
I loved the game, i spent money on it, i really enjoyed it, it was so fun. But i got to enjoy for 1.5 events, then they just got greedy and money hungry. They killed the game, the user base, everything, all for the sake of trying to squeeze as much money out of players as possible. But what frustrates me, is so many of us, myself included, said that we'd keep playing the game, and spend money on it because we enjoy it if they kept things the way they were. But instead they did what they did. I have no idea what the user base is like now, but a lot of us gave up, and i can't imagine new players getting into it when this is their only experience
It's a shame, it was a great game, but greed destroyed it
Wacky Races Starring Dastardly and Muttley is an underappreciated gem.
Here's some Mario Kart rip-offs that are not mentionned in the video I actually liked:
Banjo-Pilot (GBA)
Chocobo Racing (PS1)
Lego Racers (PC/N64)
Nicktoons Racing (PS1)
Saru Get You: Pipo Saru Racer (PSP)
Shrek Smash n' Crash Racing (GC)
Speed Freaks (PS1)
Toon Car (PC)
and "Motor Kombat" its a mini game in Mortal Kombat Armageddon
Gensou Skydrift (Switch) is basically Double Dash with Touhou characters & it is a lot of fun.
Blur was another one
Lego Racer or Toy Story Racer?! Tragic
I always preferred Diddy Kong Racing and South Park Rally on the N64 to MK64. Lego Racers was pretty good too, although the N64 version is insanely difficult compared to the PC version. Shout out to Wacky Races on PS2/Dreamcast too.
Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed hits pretty hard 🔥🔥🔥🔥🏎️🏎️🏁🏁
I still play this on my vita .
Missed wacky racers. Best cart racer I ever played
CTR and Mario Kart both have a pretty high skill cap, and because the game mechanics are different, the two games become very different from each other when played by skilled players.
When I picked up CTR again as an adult, I finally understood how to go faster by perfecting the drift/boost mechanic. It’s deeper than most players realize, and it’s just absolutely beautiful!
I love that the clock faced thing haunts you, its kinda comically snapping my spine. Brilliant
A kart racer I played as a kid that I loved was Chocobo Racing. The graphics were pretty bad but I liked the way items worked. There was a sequel on Switch but it was super mid and monitized it. I think they did away with all that after they stopped supporting it though.
Dude you missed south park rally. I played it on Dreamcast and N64. It's definitely better than garfield and shrek racing. If you ever update your video. Add south park rally. I want to hear gour opinion.
Wacky Races on Dreamcast was a super underrated kart racer. Also, I feel like they missed the title Garfield CARfield Racer. Too punny?
I can’t believe you left out I was waiting the entire video to see but you never did and they’re so fun stupid fun.
( South Park rally )
Came here to say that, glad someone else thought of it.
There’s also Cartoon Network Racing and Lego Racers that he missed, he almost has enough for a sequel video now.
I love that the professor is driving a delorean kart with smoke stacks on the back. A clear reference to Back To The Future.
It might not be a kart racer per se, but there was a game based on the Speed Racer movie that I thought was really fun and worked well. I don’t remember off-hand if there were objects you could shoot at other racers, but the way you could flip, bash and smash other cars felt great and the bright colors and super speeds through the terrain were fun. It was a Wii game and had no online features, and the dialog got a bit repetitive, but at least it was short and made sense “THAT WAS A CHEAT!”
On the other end was M&M racing for the Wii. It took what could have been at least kinda fun, if unoriginal, game and said “fuck it, we’re done.” It had invisible walls you couldn’t get around, invisible slow patches, unwinnable races, you name it. It was the absolute worst.
“The controls are not as polished” COMPARED TO WHAT??? The original? Cuz this is FAR better than the original, wayyy more control. If you’re talking about current games sure. And your comment section seems to agree, now get your unwashed unused corpse back in the corner in shame and think about deleting this video

Speed Punks on PS1 - hidden gem
I miss Modnation Racers every day... Always so fun to try out new courses, download pop culture characters, and race online on a limitless amount of tracks. I played it right up until the day they shut down the online servers.

You missed out "Moorhuhn Kart".
And the two classics:

Toy Story Racing is one of my childhood games, I feel nostalgic about it and it was amazing
Sonic all stars racing makes the most sense but there was never enough love for the franchise for it to become a trilogy. Its a bit of a shame
Im glad that Pocoyo Racing wasn't reviewed so he doesn't call it bad
There is still time for a part 2 :O

Action Girlz Racing on the Wii is amazing.
Fun fact: They made a kart racing game based on Digimon. Which is weird, since most Digimon games are either RPGs, virtual pets, fighting games, or trading card video games (not based on any existing Digimon TCG).
Diddy Kong Racing is always better than all Mario Karts
17:00 inb4 “feel personally attacked”
Great video with honest assessments of “the other Kart Racers” (for science/great justice)
Looney Tunes Space Race for Dreamcast/PS2 was really shockingly good. Despite a small roster (lacking Lola def a strike against em)
Looney Tunes Space Race and Sonic Racing Transformed are my faves outside of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Diddy Kong Racing was one of my favorites growing up.
No love for South Park rally
One of my fav kart racers, the Dreamcast version is especially good.
Speed Freaks on PSX was awesome. Great character design, gameplay and tracks. A true classic.
4:23 Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is my favorite racing game of all time and this is coming from a man who grew up in the 90s and played a lot of Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing. The transformations are awesome in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and it's really cool that on some races every lap or some laps are different because something might happen on the track that requires you to transform into a different vehicle to complete the next lap which is really interesting.
I also love the balancing of items. Yes there's still a chance with the items but a lot less of it than Mario kart. There's a lot more skill involved because the shooting items that shoot straight move so fast that you're confident that if you're aimed straight at the person in front of you no matter how far away they are you can hit them. I mean if they're really far away you're probably still going to miss but at least you know there's a good chance you still can hit them because the projectiles move so quickly.
On top of that there's ways to avoid the heat-seeking RC cars by boosting at the right time. Although there's a little more luck to that because sometimes you have to be at the right kind of turn to drift or do a trick off a ramp to boost or find one of those dash pads, but it's still cool. And I love that there isn't that stupid blue show and instead there's those giant hornets that take up a lot of the track and will be in the way of the first three drivers but it is possible to actually Dodge them. You're not likely to but you still technically can which means there is still more skill involved.
Ctrnf Is Not a Ripoff
Hey man! Just came across the video. Really enjoyed the video and you've gained a subscriber! I was shocked to see how small the channel is. You deserve to be noticed! One suggestion I have is including a tier chart! S tier, A, B, C, D.... This would add a good visual as you go through the games. 😀
That's a GREAT idea! I'll try to make a tier list for the next one! :D
Me and my family always play Nickelodeon Kart Racers and we love it but we also have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Edit: Before we had a Nintendo Switch we play Crash Bandicoot Racing on our PS3
Sonic Racers was the GOAT! It just felt so much faster than Mario Cart. I love it.
CTR Nitro-Fueled is my favorite kart racer of all time by far. It looks so simple on the surface, but there's an insanely high skill ceiling and super-deep hidden mechanics surrounding the boost system that can completely change how you play the game. I still wish we could have gotten a PC port, but otherwise it was darn near perfect IMO.
South Park Rally
I never cared for Diddy Kong Racing. I remember per-ordering it to have it for Thanksgiving the year it came out, but it was delayed (if I remember correctly). My family as a whole are huge Mario Kart fans, and we spent hours and hours with Mario Kart 64, and Diddy Kong Racing gave us some variety, but it never compared to Mario Kart 64.
0:57 the best 4 players split screen map every!!!!
My favorite Mario Kart "rip-off" game is Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing for the Wii, because it has Billy Hatcher as a playable character.
I was surprised to see Jak X Racing and Bomberman Fantasy Race absent from the list.
Who's gonna tell him Pacman is already in a Mario Kart? The arcade version to be precise
DIDDY KONG RACING NEEDS TO MAKE A COMEBACK!!
U forgot southpark racing. Lol
One of my favorite knock off racing games is Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour on the PS1. It actually had a lot of replayability and you drove through all sorts of popular rides from Disney World!
It's fine to say Mario Kart is the father of the kart racing genre but to call every other karting game "rip off" is a game most people don't wanna play. If you say a game is a rip off because the concept and esthetics of the game is taken from something else, you'd have to call 99% of all games that are coming out today rip offs.
No Crash Nitro Kart mention?
Another kart racer that I quite liked was Toy Story Racer. It had a pretty decent difficulty, catchy music, and both the racetracks and battle arenas were actually great.
Glad you talked about Looney Tunes Space Race, that was a good one.
I never really enjoyed playing Mario Kart 64 tbh, but Diddy Kong Racing, and Mickey’s Speedway USA are racing games on the 64 I love playing so much more
