First, Led Zepplin is the best band ever. I grew up with them (I’m so fortunate). Now, OMG, lead singer Robert Plant... He’s just beautiful. And he’s an extremely intelligent, versatile, and a kind, and soft-spoken (hard to believe but true) man. He was young here; now he’s old. I live in Austin, and he lived here for several years. I ran into him while he was carrying a bunch of books to his car. Nothing great. Probably a Toyota Sentra or something like that. We were at the intersection waiting for the light to turn. He said “It’s taking quite a while, isn’t it?” I said “Tell me about it!” After we finally got to cross, he said “You have a Lovely Day!” I said “You too!” No need for a stupid autograph; it was just nice to experience an ordinary activity with Robert Plant. My daughter ran into him as well back in 2012 when she was going to UT at Austin. Same thing- she didn’t ask for his autograph. He does a lot of collaborating with other artists and has created his own various bands over the years. Although his looks have faded, and he doesn’t do those provocative moves anymore, he’s stood the test of time. But I love going back to these early days and enjoy the eye candy! lol Seriously, this band, every single member is talented.

Live shows were legendary...often lasting over 3 hours.
