Sign Yuta Watanabe and get backup For either Center or Serviceable Shooting Guard depends on draft night. Move Boban,Reggie,Jock, Or maybe even Aaron Holiday if rockets got some good assets for him since he played decently this season as the backup PG. that said. those name i mentioned gotta go. heck even the Rockets G league guys can go .they taking the 2 way contract spot. Then we can get some decent players in off season that's not too expensive for next season

I get it Tari was injured this season and hence fans outside of Rockets didn't really see him in action but the fanbase is so high on Tari, even higher than they are on Amen, hes an excellent rebounder and a great.3 point shot, had he not been injured hed have a great breakout season, he looked awesome in summer league and had a really strong start to season, he deserves a 3rd season in Houston, not too upset with Uncle Jeff being let go, but if at the end were above Luxury Tax and still have money left then i would have him back. I feel like Reed while being a reach at 3 is fine for Houston to get, it fulfills a great need espicialy with a pick that had no right being as prime as it is right now just pure lotto luck

Very good job. I might of got Ware with the 9th even though it’s early for him. Rockets need a big who can play above the rim and catch lobs. I also would have preferred getting a future frp from the grizzlies for moving down. Not sure there’s room on the team for Huerter with Tari and Cam and Amen getting more minutes but depth is important. Getting rid of Tate and Landale was needed but Green was such a good presence for the Rockets last year I would have loved keeping him. A lot of tough decisions with so much talent but no clear superstars yet.

No way the Rockets pass on Reed or trade down to get him or someone else at better value...They take him at #3 if he is there...if he is not there at #3, then I could see them trading down or out if they don't like anyone else, but I doubt it.
Reed is their guy...For the FUTURE he will give them a second PG along with Amen and both are combo players Reed PG/SG & Amen PG/SF. Those two give them a lot of versatility, plus Sengun gives them 3 playmakers that can cover 4 positions. Reed is most defiantly their guy at #3...his versatility, playmaking, elite perimeter shooting to space the floor and hustle D is exactly what the Rockets need next season and for his career.
Cap space management - Stone worked extremely hard over the last 3 years to go from (Morey's) maybe worst cap in the NBA to one of the best managed in the NBA. The Rockets are NOT going to sign another 10m+ FA or even trade for one that will add to their cap. The reason why I say this with certainty is that they have to resign their young core of 6 (or 7...Reed) over the next 4 years and that is already is going to be most likely impossible, but they will keep as many as they can together. This become obvious when you consider how Stone structured his veteran contracts. FVV's max (42.8m) is for one year with a TEAM option (44.8m) for another year, Brooks has 3 years (but it drops from 22.25m down to 19.9m...to save cap space) & Landale has 3 years of TEAM options (8m each year)...all three of these deals were done with resigning the young core for the future in mind. All the other vets are on expiring contracts...Adams (12.6m), Jeff Green (9.6m) & Tate (7.6m). If Stone doesn't keep FVV and Landale after this year, plus all the expiring contracts all together totals up to $72+m, which is more than enough to resign Sengun and JG if they want to...This is called FLEXABILTY, which they will need to sign the other core players that they want to keep.
Trades: FYI Brooks is NOT going to be traded. The trade for Adams cemented Brooks for at least one more year. Stone went and got Adams because he and Brooks have had two playoff runs together as #2 seeds and that is something the Rockets cannot get with any other vet replacing Brooks. I have been saying this since that trade.
Trade options: Only JG and any of the expiring contract (mainly as fillers) besides Adams and FVV is on the table for a JG trade. Cam's efficiency makes JG expendable and so will drafting Reed...plus they give the Rockets 3 and 4 more years respectively on their rookie contracts than JG's expiring rookie more expensive deal. BTW, the Rockets had moved on from all the immature players they had...Wood, KPJ & Christopher...JG is the last of that group. JG is a incredible talented (like KPJ was) and his potential is tremendous, but like you said "it is in his head". The Rockets have been giving him a lot of rope and they will until he becomes too expensive against the young core...hoping that he puts it all together. You got JG's immaturity correct.
JG trade: My bet is that his immaturity that holds him back from reaching his potential and being a more expensive option will end up forcing the Rockets to trade him. I see that they will view trading JG NOT for getting a star player (that does not fit the direction they are going with the young core), because it will take more than JG to get one (which will gut into the young core and/or future draft (Nets) assets. That player will be older than the core (less career years), which lowers those assets' values. Now that they have a young core (that they love) in place the real value of those Nets' picks become the ability to replace the core players that they lose to free agency with quality young role players (higher draft picks than their own) on cheap rookie contracts. Stone will view trading JG to extend this capability of owning other teams' (into the future)1st round picks (this he covets). If I was GM the top on my list to target is Utah or any team that owns their and/or other teams' 2027 thru 2031 draft picks. I see Stone trading JG by the trade deadline or extend him then trade him next offseason.
Your fantasy trades or rebuild is just that...a fantasy...good luck with that. You defiantly do not listen the Stone when he says that they LOVE their players. Why do you want to live outside reality?
I have to give you a poor grade on this video. You direction for the Rockets is...well let's just say that it is a good thing that you are not the GM.
ALL HAIL STONE. Get it? HAIL and STONE...LOL

@@_AVC_ Your effort is excellent, but you get off reality in my opinion. Peeps online are always trying to rebuild the Rockets on top of Stone's rebuild...I don't get it.
Stone took Morey's total mess and 100% turned the Rockets' fortunes around in every category.
His trading record will become legendary in the NBA. He had many excellent trades like KPJ for nothing, Sengun @ #16 for two heavily protected first round picks. All the wheeling and dealing over 3 seasons to get Cam (Harden trade, PJ Tucker swap picks & Gordon swap picks) at #20.
But, the Harden trade may very well go down as the best trade in NBA history: So far, Stone stuck the Net's with an aging failed all-star/MVP on a max and got Eason @ #17, Cam @ #20 + 2024 #3 + 2025 Swap + 2026 first & 2027 Swap.
Young talent of 6 (soon to be 7) core players spread out among all 5 positions (each with unique talents) to build around.
Refilled a full 7 years of first round picks, which Morey had destroyed.
Quality vets for leadership, which their contracts are timed to come off the books so they can resign most of the young core.
Cap management...Stone went from one of the worst to near the best in the NBA.
Hired a excellent young coach for long-term championship runs.
Stone managed to take a 17-win team to 41-wins in 3 years...while still getting a Top 3 pick and maybe 2025 & 2026 lottery picks.
Stone did not let the Rockets fall into a perpetual rebuild like many rebuilding teams do.
If that is not enough there is the fact that Stone should be credited for bringing analytics to the NBA. The Rockets are credited for doing this first under Morey, but it was Stone who setup and ran the Analytics Department. This has not only made him an excellent judge of talent, but getting a good mix together on the floor.
Proof? Stone is 6 for 9 on his first round picks and 100% on the 6 - picks that were #20 or higher. This is remarkable record in the NBA...Oh...and the 3 late first rounders that he missed on (Christopher, Washington and Garuba) he even recycled them into Adams and the rights to a Euro big man (nothing wasted).
Now, You name me one other GM that has done as good or better in drafting.
In my 52 years as a fan, he is the best Rockets GM that I have ever seen and I bet he will be one of the best all-time.
Here is an idea for you...be bold and do a video on how good of a GM Stone is...starting from 2005.

Jock Landale started the last season off with a nasty concussion and ankle injury combination. He finished the season pretty well with sheer effort though.
Also for the 25 games Tari Eason played he had the highest Defensive Rating on the team, which is admittedly a small sample size. (Amen Thompson was 2nd). When he's not hurt he's the first one off the bench for Jabari Smith or Dillon Brooks, because Ime Udoka loves him. His biggest weakness is that he's reckless on offense, kind of like how Corey Brewer was for Houston.

LMFAO. Make it make sense. You traded the 3rd pick for shooters that definitely can't guard a cone, Absorb more money & possibly can't even crack rotations with their depth at the wing position. Note, Kennard might even hit free agency coz Memphis wanna save money, the roster is getting expensive so Rockets can get him cheaper on MLE and without giving up valuable asset. Then still drafted a small guard at #9. Alex Len? Really? That's the best they got? Rather keep the #3 and draft Sheppard or Clingan. 😅

I’ll try to make it make sense haha.
Huerter isn’t a great defender but he falls into the average statistically. Plays historically in switch defenses as well so that’s already a ton of value on that.
I don’t understand the Kennard point. Yeah the Grizzlies could cut him, but why not get something for him and guarantee the Rockets get him?
Devin Carter should in theory be a ready to play guard. I guess I don’t know what else to say because you didn’t really say anything on him. Not trying to be rude I’m just literally saying that haha.
I love Clingan as a prospect. I just think you use this year’s pick on a position you need. They seem pretty good at center. I wouldn’t mind Reed with a later pick.

@@_AVC_ whos to say Clingan or Sheppard isn't ready like Carter? Don't get me wrong I like Carter as a prospect but the trades doesn't make sense at all. Every prospect theoretically isn't worth the 3rd pick in this year's draft & you won't get much value in the market so why trade it? Especially if you only getting shooting and nothing else. In a position you're loaded. Kinda dumb, sorry for the word. Like Rockets can get shooting AND defense using their MLE. Trent Jr or Melton to name a few makes sense as replacement to Holiday and doesn't really affect their core 6. Malik Beasley is also rumored to them. Plenty of options than take a ton of money back in a trade down scenario that doesn't really offer much versatility in the roster, money (cap) & skillset (shooter, nothing else to offer)..
Atleast Sheppard can pass and be a connective piece. Clingan will be great defensively. The players doesn't make sense to really trade down. Think the prospects at #3 has more value down the line as a rotation piece or even a trade bait in the future. Simply mis management of asset if you ask me..

      @@Chris-uq7in I’m still a little confused by this perspective…
The logic of nobody is worth the 3rd pick (which I personally disagree with) means you should trade it from an economic lens. You trade down to get wings and another position.
Adding just Clingan adds a player in an even more loaded position.
This way you also guarantee the players you get.
I can see the hope of Melton getting back to his 3&D ways for sure but the Gary Trent one confuses me. He is coming of age really rough defensive year and he had a solid defensive team around him.
Also I’m sorry I hate being this guy but I try to help at the end of the day. We’ve used the word doesn’t incorrectly a couple times. Truly just trying to inform 😅.
