The rockets off season guide is simple. Develop their young core and wait for 2-4 years. Don’t rush anything like how Denver became a force. In 2-3 years a lot of the old guard will start retiring and exiting their primes. This is when they can start to make their runs when the LA teams, GSW, and Phoenix start to really drop off as Houston players start to enter their primes.
How do you develop your young guys to be a contender when the vets are taking all the minutes? They shouldn’t have signed any vets. Their youth should have been the focus
I personally dont think the HOU owner will take this long. Especially that in 4 years, their salaries are likely to get congested with Sengun / Green probably getting maxed out as well as Thompson / Cam getting a decent level. Not the worst problem to have, but im sure they will wanna make a proper playoff push - Only thing is the west are so good.

Fair video. If I'm stone, I'm keeping the core together. Trying to extend Sengun and Green, drafting Reed Sheppard and signing a shooter to come off the bench. Run it back
As a rockets fan for us what we need is to build our bench. If we can trade the ninth pick for like Kispert or Tyus Jones and maybe get like Malik Monk in free agency we are going to be a legit playoff contender next year. Besides improving the bench our roster is fine. Jalen despite being awful for most of the season has showed the flashes what he can be in this league. It’s really all about consistency with him. Sengun before he got hurt was having an all star level season and he was a finalist of MOP Amen was a Swiss Army knife on both ends his rebounding and his athleticism is off the charts. Wouldn’t be shock if he makes an all defensive team in a few years. Cam is a bucket if he can be a better decision maker with the ball in his hands look out and he can be a good defender as well Jabari he was solid he had a nice bounce back year he was a solid 3 and D wing he just needs to get stronger. Fred was everything we needed in a point guard he was awesome in helping Sengun Jalen and the others in developing their game. Dillion Brooks while he was a headache at times he was mostly pretty good. So yeah the future is bright especially since we going to get Tari back healthy and Steven Adams could be huge for us off the bench if he healthy and there still the Nets pick. So yeah the future is bright as long as Ime is running things
That was my reply to someone else but gonna also copy to here, The thing about Alperen is not actually a scorer player, but stable play-maker. Because of the lack of shooting players, they have limited option for offense, layups or dunks etc... Alperen’s assist percentage could have been higher than current stat in this season, if they had been made the shots. To be honest, whoever comes and goes doesn’t matter. Hou just need stable players not Superstars.
Well those front office people didn't evaluate the Rockets well, 60 million for 35 wins, when we ended up with 41 wins with Tari missing most of the season and Sengun missing the end. I bet we end up with at least 45 wins next season.
You heard what “others said” about the free agent decisions???? YOU were one of the those people saying the same thing on here, why don’t you mention yourself???? I’m not a HOU fan but take some accountability dude.

Westbrook trade was terrible!!! Star chasing and we still paying for that! I like our team but we definitely being playing safe as for as roster moves! Steven Adams quietly was an underrated move and can help this team over the hump next season. Right now we have to be patient and let them develop. Playoffs are expectations for me next year.
the Houston rockets next season will be in the top 5 of the west and top 10 of the league .. early pick for MIP Jalen green and COACH OF THE YEAR : IME
Yea Westbrook really screwed the Rockets. They spent all that draft capital to get him just so he can request a trade after one year. Then the rockets had to blow it up because they didn’t have any more assets to build around James.
Not sure if the numbers work here, but I feel like a Jalen Green, Fred Vanvleet, and 9th pick for Dame Lillard makes sense for both sides. Dame doesn't seem happy in Milwaukee (from a geographic perspective) and also Houston could use his shooting and dynamic scoring overall. Milwaukee gets a little younger and athletic with Jalen Green and that 9th pick while maintaining the veteran makeup with VanVleet.
@@trendexposure7799 They certainly don't HAVE to make the move - just a thought. Is Jalen Green a 200+ mill dollar player? IMO, he may be fools gold.
