Interesting car for the right buyer. I feel like the long term value in the 350R will be diminished by the "upgrade". With so few made seems keeping it stock would be the wise move. On the 350 - with a lot more built - not a big deal. Would have loved to get your perspective on the handling impact from the extra hp. Understood that the dealer makes the call but seriously - good chance you're a more capable driver than any of their Ferrari customers. And this is a low end car on their lot - so I'm feeling like they could have let you add 15 mile to the 4K already on the clock. Idk - just seems like your video is free advertising and they are in the biz of selling cars. It's just inventory. Guess I'm just disappointed we couldn't see it in action. This is a beast but when I get the GT350R I would keep it NA just because that's the charm of this car that led me to buy it in the first place, a high revving NA is more and more rare, let alone the sound this car makes at red line... if I wanted supercharger or plain power I have many other choices but not on this rare gem

It's a shame he couldn't drive it but it was a knowledgeable review at least. As far as the car I like it without the stripes, very sleeperish. It would be more so without the additional badging though. The single black Hennessy one is all it needs imo.

@Raiti'sRides There definitely are options, when it comes to the Voodoo. You can throw cams, headers, injectors, fuel return, G Force rear axel, either 168 or 170 MM throttle body, PMAS cold air intake, with an over sized sleeve attachment, and I personally would add the 3.6 Kenne Bell LC Supercharger Once getting it tuned, and having a dyno hooked up, it should be pushing 1000 plus RWHP on corn fuel And a drag pack, so you can put the power down

Curious on the price of the car..whipple sells supercharger packages for the 350/350r for around $8-8.5K, add the TB, BAP, injectors, and tuning and one might be way ahead as far as price goes (with the same performance results).
@@RaitisRides Wow...there is a GT350R selling for $63,450 at the local dealer lot. Has like only 1300 miles and looks very clean. If someone added a whipple (and supporting mods) he/she would be ahead about $10-11K minus the Hennessey stickers..
@@cobramanphil Almost all GT350R's like that are the stripped down ones. I have seens ones like that around here for that kind of price. the well equipped ones sell for a lot more.

I see the oil wasn’t warmed up before your revved the hell out of it. Bad. It is advisable to not rev the engine hard until oil temperature has reached at least 180°F.

I thought that a shelby GT350R should have been supercharged. With the awesome handling, you can just jump right in and add the whipple. Same reason why for my STi, such a great platform you can just dive right in and add hp!
This Car is Soo Sick in black !!! It still looks Menacing even with no stripes...You just look at the GT 350 and all of a sudden the regular GT Isn't going to get it...This one Will Work Fine.. Yes...
I love this baby and when I saw the infotainment system I was like what!!! This guy really paid like 10k to take out the infotainment system and then 3k more to put it back on...🤔 I would just change the badge lol. Then he had it modified by Hennessey. Some people just don't know what to do with their money. Don't get me wron, the car is a beast but after all that he ended up getting rid of it. What a waste. As far as the car itself, an absolute beast, one thing I don't like is that Ford changed the cluster and now the older ones they all look so outdated it's sad. Great review like always and definitely 100% worth watching!! Tom don't feel bad for the palm tree 😂. Thank you Tom for showing us both sides while the engine was running, you can definitely hear that supercharged sound, thanks!!

This is another one of those confusing trade ins. 4200 miles.... I'm tired of all this power let me get a ferrari instead. ? I mean he probably just didn't like the handling with all that power and if you look at the tires it looks like he traded it in with hardly any tread left on the rears. With that much power you won't even get that to the ground unless you got drag radials on there. Plus... did I see some mild curb rash on the front rim you were near? Oh and they paid extra for the AC and such only to get rid of it. Glad you mentioned that too.
Couldn’t agree more about the stripes except I would get a standard gt350 because I would like to use as a more daily as well so with the back seats that would help but as long as it has the Hennessey it should be brilliant the only problem I see with the car is nothing to do with the car but the pain to bring it back here to Australia where we drive on the correct side of the road
In Australia we have car meets called bull rush rally and it’s just a supercar road trip to bring all cars anyone you want and meet up up with the most prestigious cars with a gt350 you can easily join in and make the same amount of noise for less then a quarter of the price of a 488 GTB and because it’s naturally aspirated with no turbos it sounds better the supercharger just gives off a cool whine to the engine which is just brilliant when people say it sounds like a Ferrari or lambo there wrong because this voodoo engine has a brilliant rattle sound to it where as Lamborghini is just high pitched brilliant Italian engineering.
I would like to see a ZL1 do a lap around a road course agains this HPE 850 with the same skilled driver. I wonder how they would stack up against each other.
Ive heard some shady dealings by Hennessy. They say they just put the biggest turbo/supercharger in your car not thinking about reliability. Then charge you tons. Maybe thats why it got traded in? I don't know. Makes me think why he didn't get a test drive

Why would you supercharge the 350R??? One may have a higher redline in good tuned GT (with Shelby manifold). HP excitement for teenagers. Not a driver's car.

It is one hell of a beast! I am a little skeptical with the fact that the car only has 4,000 miles al already a new set of tires have been added to the front. Now I know Cup 2 tires wear very quickly but it's a flag for me. I defintley wouldn't want to buy someone else's headache. Plus to be perfectly honest I would be very happy with just a standard GT350.
Raiti's Rides Yeah, but keep in mind, it’s a dealership, a Ferrari one at that, so putting new tires on all their cars is probably standard. That, and to know the numbers on the horsepower, they probably had a lot of pulls and driving to do all the tuning.
Clearly there's a market for these cars. But for me...the reason why I'd buy a Mustang is for the NATURALLY ASPIRATED 5.0 V8 :) Last of a dying breed. And it does 0 to 50 in 3.9s only 8/10s "slower" than this car. Stock!! :) And the thing is most of these cars will be street driven only. That's where all the power in the world will mean next to nothing. :) Nor the fact that a car might be able to do 1.2G's. :) Where will the car be driven? That's the question all sports car buyers SHOULD be asking themselves. Trade it in on a Ferrari Portifino? That's a "chick mobile" :)
Always amazes me the stupid amount of power you get so quickly when adding a turbo or supercharger on a stock car....6PSI of boost sounds so little but look at the power it’s producing...ridiculous. Nice review man. Hard to not love the last two generations of Mustangs, and I absolutely hate mustangs, until now.

Oddly people tout the Mustang so much. I mean I own a Mustang too but I can admit that Chevy makes a Camaro that does 0-60 in 3.5 from the factory with a supercharged LS4. That's close enough to your 3.3. Both cars get shitty fuel economy anyway and almost nobody drives this stuff. Also most people don't drive like assholes so most of the time u aren't going to be accelerating that fast anyways.
Honestly for the price this this has in total and 858 hp, 3.1 seconds 0-60 is kind of inefficient and poor when talking about someone as famous as Hennessy. By no means am I saying the car isn’t fast, duh it’ll blow doors off but just a thought yenno
A little different! That car has AWD which is way easier to launch than this car. It also features an automated gearbox and this is a traditional manual.

Hennessey is way too overpriced. You can take it to any performance shop and have the same package/same 2yr warranty done. You buy the name the performance has been done already done by whipple superchargers. You need to show a real Fabricated kit like FatHouse Fabrications done in their own house. Which they offer 800hp, 1000hp & 1200ho Twin Turbo. Check them out. I wanna do a 1200hp kit on my mine #goals

This is another one of those confusing trade ins. 4200 miles.... I'm tired of all this power let me get a ferrari instead. ? I mean he probably just didn't like the handling with all that power and if you look at the tires it looks like he traded it in with hardly any tread left on the rears. With that much power you won't even get that to the ground unless you got drag radials on there. Plus... did I see some mild curb rash on the front rim you were near? Oh and they paid extra for the AC and such only to get rid of it. Glad you mentioned that too.

Couldn’t agree more about the stripes except I would get a standard gt350 because I would like to use as a more daily as well so with the back seats that would help but as long as it has the Hennessey it should be brilliant the only problem I see with the car is nothing to do with the car but the pain to bring it back here to Australia where we drive on the correct side of the road
But because it’s American muscle you loose all the fealing when you change the steering wheel so I’ll keep it on the wrong side of the car
I would be perfectly happy with just a standard GT350, it doesn't even have to be an R. This think is overkill but I had fun reviewing it!

In Australia we have car meets called bull rush rally and it’s just a supercar road trip to bring all cars anyone you want and meet up up with the most prestigious cars with a gt350 you can easily join in and make the same amount of noise for less then a quarter of the price of a 488 GTB and because it’s naturally aspirated with no turbos it sounds better the supercharger just gives off a cool whine to the engine which is just brilliant when people say it sounds like a Ferrari or lambo there wrong because this voodoo engine has a brilliant rattle sound to it where as Lamborghini is just high pitched brilliant Italian engineering.
That sounds really amazing! I would love to experience that one day!
ZL1 is superior in every way. They sound great and look nice but the can’t hold a candle to the ZL1
I would like to see a ZL1 do a lap around a road course agains this HPE 850 with the same skilled driver. I wonder how they would stack up against each other.
Ive heard some shady dealings by Hennessy. They say they just put the biggest turbo/supercharger in your car not thinking about reliability. Then charge you tons. Maybe thats why it got traded in? I don't know. Makes me think why he didn't get a test drive

You can buy a supercharged Mustang GT with 800hp for around the same price as a stock Mustang GT. I don't know why more people aren't doing it. Get it from Lebanon Ford.

Why would you supercharge the 350R??? One may have a higher redline in good tuned GT (with Shelby manifold). HP excitement for teenagers. Not a driver's car.

It is one hell of a beast! I am a little skeptical with the fact that the car only has 4,000 miles al already a new set of tires have been added to the front. Now I know Cup 2 tires wear very quickly but it's a flag for me. I defintley wouldn't want to buy someone else's headache. Plus to be perfectly honest I would be very happy with just a standard GT350.
Raiti's Rides Yeah, but keep in mind, it’s a dealership, a Ferrari one at that, so putting new tires on all their cars is probably standard. That, and to know the numbers on the horsepower, they probably had a lot of pulls and driving to do all the tuning.
I totally understand where you are coming from. My issue is the rears were in need of being changed too as well.

Clearly there's a market for these cars. But for me...the reason why I'd buy a Mustang is for the NATURALLY ASPIRATED 5.0 V8 :) Last of a dying breed. And it does 0 to 50 in 3.9s only 8/10s "slower" than this car. Stock!! :) And the thing is most of these cars will be street driven only. That's where all the power in the world will mean next to nothing. :) Nor the fact that a car might be able to do 1.2G's. :) Where will the car be driven? That's the question all sports car buyers SHOULD be asking themselves.

Always amazes me the stupid amount of power you get so quickly when adding a turbo or supercharger on a stock car....6PSI of boost sounds so little but look at the power it’s producing...ridiculous. Nice review man. Hard to not love the last two generations of Mustangs, and I absolutely hate mustangs, until now.

Oddly people tout the Mustang so much. I mean I own a Mustang too but I can admit that Chevy makes a Camaro that does 0-60 in 3.5 from the factory with a supercharged LS4. That's close enough to your 3.3. Both cars get shitty fuel economy anyway and almost nobody drives this stuff. Also most people don't drive like assholes so most of the time u aren't going to be accelerating that fast anyways.

A little different! That car has AWD which is way easier to launch than this car. It also features an automated gearbox and this is a traditional manual.

Hennessey is way too overpriced. You can take it to any performance shop and have the same package/same 2yr warranty done. You buy the name the performance has been done already done by whipple superchargers. You need to show a real Fabricated kit like FatHouse Fabrications done in their own house. Which they offer 800hp, 1000hp & 1200ho Twin Turbo. Check them out. I wanna do a 1200hp kit on my mine #goals
