Thank you. I was looking for Aestrin for so much time, but felt somehow intimidated by this hard difficulty description. Now i know that I will manage ☺️

I found out that a pretty good combo with the cog is putting another mast, and just putting a lateen sail on each one, it turns it into basicaly a caravel and it work REALLY well, to the point that I think I now like that ship starter ship more than the dhow 😊

you can sail closer to the wind if you tighten the windward winch

If you're looking for things to sell off at start you can sell the cup. It's possible to drink directly from the barrel while holding it. It's not efficient, a cup is better, and bottle is the best, but it works.

It's good to take missions with as many pieces of cargo as possible when you start out. You gain reputation for every single piece of cargo, so you can get to 300 reputation points in one short trip if you pick the right missions. That'll start earning you real money faster, even if you get a few more coins for a single piece of mail than for 3-4 boxes of fish. If you're stuck just carrying mail, I'd go for the two longest distance deliveries and hope for some mail contracts with more than one package.

Something I would personally advise new players to do put the compass in your inventory put it right in that little middle slot you don't have to even take it out of your inventory to look at it and just keep it there until you are good at keeping track of things on your boat

I like to line the compass up with the floorboards at the wheel so I can tell my heading at a glace without having to open my inventory.
