A quick tip about the Nauseated debuff: You can eat ginger. This will cure the debuff straight away. Fun fact: With the new machines and changes of 1.6 the beach farm, as huge as it is, has GAINED many powerful and viable ways to make y1 money! This is in addition to the already unique onsite ocean fishing, foraging, and sometimes game sequence breaking supply crates! Starting out with a coop IS nice on the new meadow farm, BUT the layout of the beach farm will support MUCH more in grass/animal areas, tree/mushroom farms, honey farming, and many more extra buildings such as sheds, fish ponds, and slime hutches. Once you get the greenhouse and the island farm space, you'll be able to go FULL tycoon on the whole game! 200 sprinkler fed spaces is more than enough to get the ball rolling and allow for giant crops once you have iriduim sprinklers! Once you know the y1 drill, just TRY it! You'll love the look and feel!
I started with the coop for two reasons: 1) it was new! I had to try it, 2) it gave me eggs pretty much from the start. I don't think I'd go for it again, but it was fun! It sounds like I've been sleeping on that beach farm though. I'm currently streaming the first part of a Joja playthrough back on the standard farm. 3427 maximum plantable spaces is more my jam ;) Thank you for the tips! I might need to do another beach farm at some point!

True! It's always bothered me that I'm forced to horde all of my gear until I happen to be heading to the Adventurers Guild to sell. Cursed swords!? I'm not aware of those! I'm sure somebody would want them 😅
Two things that I wanted to point out just because It peeved me a little (Im mostly joking, and love this video) But chests were able to be moved during older updates!! and fiber seeds can be planted without watering them :). I have over 2,000 hrs in this game and i love watching people play it. This was amazing and honestly longer videos are so much better. @@Eggsceptional Haha no worries!! I learned a lot in this video that i had no clue were apart of the game, so i thank you for that!! Im excited to keep watching your content :)
first time playing this year. My BIGGEST regret is choosing beach farm omg. Although I enjoy the challenge it slows me down. I'm too deep now to start over ughhhh 😢I'll choose a different farm next time. amazing video btw!!!! And congrats!!!!
Consider using retaining soil and upgrading your watering can. The best retaining soil works 100% of the time, but it isn't available until later in the game. Rain totems are expensive to craft but might be worth it for enough crops. Good luck!
You guys DO know there is a 10x20 space where you CAN use sprinklers, right??? Jones for your steel axe! In spring y1, sprinklers almost don't matter to your progress because you aren't Farm lvl 6 to craft quality ones yet! There are lots more things to do in SDV 1.6 than just plant seeds! Chop trees early, start a tree/mushroom farm early (forage lvl 4) and pick the fruit bat cave to speed community center progress! The fishing and crab potting in beach farm also rivals the riverlands farm. Fishing a day away (esp. at the mountain lake) is deceptively profitable when you need fast cash for the next building. Best of all in 1.6, consider MOVING YOUR FARMHOUSE to suit where you will be working the most!
Like you, I have this game on PC, Ps5 and iPad. It really is a good game but is mind boggling for beginners. Videos like this are so helpful to bring more players into the valley. Most of the channels that gave us great advice in the past are way out of date with their content so this is good to have even for a SD veteran. Edit:Can you use legendary fish in a pond? That would be some nice cash!
Thank you! I really enjoy the "how and why" type of explanation. I'm currently streaming the first part of the next video and I'm finding I can break down my whole thought process more. I did get a couple of things wrong on this one (like being able to catch multiple Legend fish that was a bug in 1.4). I did a quick look through the wiki and I don't think that the Legend is elligible for fish ponds. That would be wild!
Unlike other items you do not have to move near where you pick up or put down furniture. I'm only a few minutes in so maybe he only does that in the beginning.
It was painful to hear you keep talking about needing money and continuing to not get a fish smoker. 😂 Other than that, high quality video. At one point I thought I should be taking notes. I picked up a few good tips from this play through.
I think I've slept on the Smoker a bit too much ij the early game. I used to spend my early game so coal starved that I think that scared me off of it (coal seems much more plentiful these days). I'm glad you could get a few tips along the way! I've enjoyed the feedback and tips that I'm getting from comments. Thanks for watching :)
Great video! how were you so zoomed out. You see so much compared to when I play was wondering how? My zoom is set to 75% but I don’t see as much you do
In the options in game I had the zoom set to the minimum. The only other difference might be screen resolution? I played this on a 2560x1440 monitor. Thank you :)
Thank you!! Upon further research.. you are correct! In 1.4, there was a bug that allowed you to catch multiple Legend fish. I was probably confused by that. Good catch :)
It's what you start with on the Meadowlands Farm, which is new to update 1.6 (as of today, still only available on PC). You get chickens instead of the usual 15 Parsnip seeds :)
@@Eggsceptional ahhhhhhhhhh hahaha thank you! Btw I can’t stop watching your video. I think I’ve played this game over and over for like 500 hours and your video just made me start a new one from scratch. If I only knew these tricks before! Great content!!!!
I don't know how to explain it, but all your dialogue sounds... Clipped? Like the end of every sentence gets cut off just before it would naturally fade out?
That might have something to do with my old mic and how I recorded my audio. The newer mic is (hopefully) better for this, but I'll have to watch for it. Thanks for the feedback!
Am I trippin or something cuz when has the Golden Pumpkin ever been worth 30k.. Cuz mine sold for 5k cuz im still in 1.5(cries in Switch) but I saw 1.6 reduce it to 2,500... Was it 30K like a long time ago or something
I think I correct myself with the Red Cabbage at some point? If not, my bad. I think I have some Mandela effect going on with that golden pumpkin. I checked the wiki and you're right! I Could've sworn...
ancient fruit with dehydrators are cheaper to get going at scale, and you need 1/5 of the total space versus kegs. the tradeoff for not having to micromanage as much is less profit per in-gam day, but you just need to scythe + bulk dehydrate.
Those are cobblestone paths. I lay them down to mark my sprinkler locations, plus when you place a sprinkler on top they will no longer break when you hoe that space

@@fench1234567 10x20? That's only 200 spaces! Gimme the 3400 of the standard farm :D
But I agree... 1.6 is phenomenal in every way.
Love how long this video is!!!
Thank you! It was a labour of love :)
Thank you for the content!
Thank you for watching:)
Only 5.4k subs? This is very well made
Thank you :) I've been working hard to improve the quality of my videos. Games like Stardew deserve only the best
That would be wild!
i started out min maxxing on pc, but it got stressful pretty quickly. i’m playing on my own terms on mobile now a year later and im loving it again
For sure! I enjoy taking aspects of the min/max playthroughs but I don't enjoy the stress of going all in. I love a little goofing about :D
That was really cool. I got some good tips from it.
That's great to hear! I love the pursuit of always getting better :)
I'm just learning about this game. I actually heard about it from comedian Bobby Lee. Well I'm officially addicted.
I love how much Bobby Lee enjoys this game. Welcome to the valley :)
@@Eggsceptional Awesome video by the way. Haven't looked at the channel yet but gonna hit subscribe.
@@KingEdwardMMVIII I appreciate it :)
i’d love to see a run getting every hat/shirt/pants/shoes! i’m doing that right now and it’s hard!
I have never, ever gotten the Living Hat in all of my many hours in the Valley. It's been added to the list. Thanks for the suggestion :)
I'd kill for an update where we can put Pierre out of business...
I'm sure there's a mod for that 😅
This video is amazing 😮😁👍🏼 I enjoyed it so much🫶🏻
Thank you! This video made me recognize that I really prefer larger scale projects :)
my favourite easter egg ever was this one *wink *wink *wink
Nudge nudge ;)
@@Eggsceptional :P
I love your videos ❤❤❤ keep it up
Thank you :)
Haha "a little eggstra"
I can't help myself :)
Yo at 2:44:00 was that a Seinfeld joke? Where she’s always going you gotta see the baby you gotta see the baby just look at the baby😂
I've actually never seen Seinfeld 😅
Wonderful video 😊
Thank you :)
I watched it all! 🎉❤
I hope you enjoyed it!!
Sick how, to this day, this is your most viewed video. It will take me a week or two to watch i think 😂
It's pretty wild how much attention this video got. Take all the time you need! I appreciate that you enjoy it :)
Unlike other items you do not have to move near where you pick up or put down furniture. I'm only a few minutes in so maybe he only does that in the beginning.
It had been a minute since I played. I was shaking some cobwebs off near the start :)
Great vid :)
Thank you :)
W VIDEO HOW DO U NOT HAVE MORE SUBS?
I've never uploaded a video like this before :)
@@Eggsceptional BUT UR OTHER CONTENT IS STILL WAY BETTER THEN MOST POPULAR YTERS CONTENT BRO! UR COOKING
@@xandurr I appreciate that :)
Idk sh|t about this specific game but it sounds fun.
It really pulls you in :)
fyi, the item are no longer destroyed if in the path of an npg, it is kicked out of the way
I do correct it muuuuuch later in the video, but yes. Thanks for the correction :)
Lost the opportunity to name "HUH????" as jesus
Darn! Hindsight remains 20/20 😅
Thank you!
Thank you :)
WAIT THE GAME TELLS YOU IF ANY JOJA SERVICES WERE USED?!
Sure does :) It gives me one more reason to either not use them at all or go all in. If I ever do
@@Eggsceptional I used the joja walnut bird for 5 missing walnuts nooooo! It’s my first ever actual save too! 😂
@@cookierunhaven3608 Nooo!! But that's still a really good first crack. 125/130 is a pass by my standards :)
@@Eggsceptional Ty!
@@Eggsceptional Ah okay, thank you for the response!!
W video bro
Thank you :)
i’ll be playing stardew and minecraft till i die :)
100%! I've played both since they released. Sandbox style games are my jaaaam.
Hi I love your video!! But unfortunately the legend fish are only one per save file for single player.
Thank you!! Upon further research.. you are correct! In 1.4, there was a bug that allowed you to catch multiple Legend fish. I was probably confused by that. Good catch :)
Still no 1.6 for console and mobile
Heartbreaking :( I hope it comes soon!
Do you have a list of mods, If any, that you used?
No mods! This was pure Stardew Valley in the latest update
@@Eggsceptional Thanks! I’ve loved this Stardew playthrough. Definitely one of the more engaging, entertaining ones I’ve seen. Keep it up!
@@heyliz_ Thank you! If you keep watching, I'll keep creating :)
Sorry, but how did you start the game with 2 chickens? I don't have that option :(
It's what you start with on the Meadowlands Farm, which is new to update 1.6 (as of today, still only available on PC).
@@melissaaraujo3188 I'm glad some of my tricks and tips could help you! Anything to inspire more adventures in the valley :)
do not be mean to my WIFE
My bad!!! Sorry Haley, it's all in good fun
@@Eggsceptional
I don't know how to explain it, but all your dialogue sounds... Clipped? Like the end of every sentence gets cut off just before it would naturally fade out?
That might have something to do with my old mic and how I recorded my audio. The newer mic is (hopefully) better for this, but I'll have to watch for it. Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah the audio is totally scuffed
Am I trippin or something cuz when has the Golden Pumpkin ever been worth 30k.. Cuz mine sold for 5k cuz im still in 1.5(cries in Switch) but I saw 1.6 reduce it to 2,500... Was it 30K like a long time ago or something
I did some digging, and it was never worth that much. I think I had some serious Mandela effect going on. Good looking out! Thank you :)
Ok... Red cabbage is a summer crop. Not Spring. And the golden pumpkin was never worth 30k.
I think I correct myself with the Red Cabbage at some point? If not, my bad. I think I have some Mandela effect going on with that golden pumpkin. I checked the wiki and you're right! I Could've sworn...

This Guy play Stardew like a Robot. If you ignore the Social aspect this Game is mediocre as fuck.
I don't ignore the social aspect forever! Just until I can afford nice things for them :)
ancient fruit with dehydrators are cheaper to get going at scale, and you need 1/5 of the total space versus kegs. the tradeoff for not having to micromanage as much is less profit per in-gam day, but you just need to scythe + bulk dehydrate.
Honestly I did not mess around with Dehydrators as much as I could have. I'll keep it in mind for the next playthrough. Thanks for the tip!
1:23:00 the items forgoten in the fair go to mayors house where you can recover them, even if you put his purple shorts haha
Even his shorts? That's fantastic :) Thanks for the correction - some outdated info definitely slipped into this video
At 26:00 what are the things inside the circles of strawberry plants? A block of pathway?
Those are cobblestone paths. I lay them down to mark my sprinkler locations, plus when you place a sprinkler on top they will no longer break when you hoe that space
@@Eggsceptional So many details in the game 😂 I have a hard time keeping track.
@@KingEdwardMMVIII For sure! That's a big reason why I love it so much. Easy to play, hard to master :)
Funfact, you can catch 3x of every legendary fish with the new rod+bait
That's true! If I had the skill for it.... that Challeneg Bait is hard!
