Why does the most famous chef in the world always struggle with the melting of cheese? this is literally the third video I've seen of Gordon where the cheese doesn't melt even though he says it's "melting beautifully".
If the steak is supposed to be rare (it isn't) then plainly the protein is blocking the heat reaching the fat lumps of cheese sat upon it. Does seem an odd way trying to melt cheese on a steak! An upturned spare pan on top of the steak and the cheese would have melted it.
Everyone knows you need to cover the cheese to get it melting... But not only that, the steak is blue in the middle. Gordon is clearly just phoning it in and it's sad to see.

He's got TWO steaks on an already thick bun. Who the hell can take a bite out of that? That sandwich certainly looks yummy, but it's not edible. lol yeah. butter burned and gave it color but they're not sweet. onions take like 60-80 min to caramelize property.
