From the perspective of the enemies in bloodborne, this MC is truly menacing. Dons a top hat, does nothing fancy, just jogs towards you at a leisurely pace, and then proceeds to shoot you or spew alien shit at you. True lovecraftian horror.
Bloodborne is in fact a survival horror game, it's just that you're the monster.

Funny enough, Pinwheel was also a tough boss for a no stamina run in DSR
Pinwheel can in fact be difficult under certain specific restrictions, especially because you never have had to pay attention to his moveset before
I actually have died to pinwheel in normal gameplay on ng+ 2 or 3. He’s a glass cannon, so if you let him live long enough he will be pretty hard.
Lmao my first run I slowly approached and gave him a wide berth while I figured out what he did, as that was my winning strategy for every previous boss.

@@thelittlestseal Lol, I cheesed that Black Knight in the Undead Burg in DSR very early into my first DSR run (First DSR run but not my first DS game, so I knew how the games worked). Ended up tearing through the next few bosses.
He was hard for me in my 2h Zweihander run, decided to run all the way down there and kill him first for Rite, but wow, it took several tries

Lady walks very slowly towards eldritch abominations, scares them so badly that they shit themselves to death.
Easy way to kill Amelia in this run? Get the flamesprayer from the guy at the window and just circle around her with it on. I've literally killed her with it without ever running out of ammo and never having to dodge/avoid anything.
He even did this tactic in one of his challenge runs, and made a pun about amelia not being done, but WELL done 😂

Yeah I did do that in my gun only guide, but as I remember that still meant doing quite a bit of dodging. Also since I already upgraded my repeating pistol, there was the issue of twinshards. On top of that, if I remember correctly, in the livestream I initially went to Amelia just to see how my molotov damage was and to just give it a try to see how it would go. And then I kept going until I beat her.
I think in Barons Castles runs, he flamed her without stopping to even use Numbing Mist.
I love how these challenge runs become a form of puzzle solving, and it's very fascinating to see the solutions you come up with.
I don't know how many more challenges there are to do, but I will definitely watch any that you make!
As someone who's played through the entirety of MGS3 multiple times, the Snake Eater bit is my favorite part of your BL runs😁
Just a heads up, you are right about your spacing being off for the One Reborn. If you'd been about 10 steps forward you probably would've hit the head on the second bolt.
Mergo's Wet Nurse has 3 sets of hitboxes for her arms, each one lines up horizontally with a pair of blades and they all have different zones. Her middle set I think is the one with the longest range and narrowest scope, so when you're surviving her jump it's likely just those hitting.
For Gehrman I don't know if you can do it without dodging at least once, but going back and left sometimes causes the aerial attack to miss completely without the need to spam dodge or roll.
This honestly looked like a miserable run to do, but kudos for completing it.
You could tell he was getting really worn out by the time he got to Laurence in the live stream. I wasn't surprised he decided to call it there and just finish it off stream. Man's a legend though.

This run pretty much showcase how powerfull augur of ebrietas is. I never knew Maria had a knockdown animation, or micholas either.

@@theragebringer4424 just like after you riposte someone they got pushed down. But in this case the animation differ slightly from when maria got hit by augur of ebrietas.
@@GranMaj ah I see, actually if well timed the augure of ebrietas can parry attacks
I do an arcane build right now using the flamethrower in my left and augur to still be able to parry without a pistol and Moonlightsword as my weapon. Quiet fun to play but while it is pretty powerful it takes some practice to reliably parry with it. Pistol is way smoother to use and the longer animation makes it quiet difficult to consistantly get the visceral afterwards.
Also i try to only use blood bullets if possible so making them during combat and lifestealing back up is an essential part of my gameplay.
My fight with Maria was pretty much her getting smacked around like a ragdoll
That kill in the Nightmare Frontier has to be seen to be believed.

I've just noticed: repeating pustol is actually repeating! It's not just a double-barrelled gun, it's barrels rotate when you shoot, so in fact it shoots very fast bursts
Watched most of this run live but it made a really good edited guide video aswell! Cant wait to see what's next!

Love your content and i appreciate that you don't use glitches and the false depth dungeon for free farm it's just makes the run cheap for me since over leveling makes every fight very easy.
There's actually a trick to preventing Rom's meteor rain. She only uses it if you stay outside the range of her other attacks. If you move into the range of her explosion every so often, and then back out once the animation starts, she'll never use the meteor rain.
1. Not entirely accurate. It's rare but she can occasionally still do the meteor even when close to her.
2. The real issue was getting close to Rom at all after she teleports
3. As long as the small spiders are around, you aren't able to stay close to her in the first place.

I think I know why you kept missing Paarl. The first shot was because when you first enter his arena he's totally invulnerable before his initial AOE. The following ones are because when he roars to regain his electricity after a stagger he actually loses the hit detection on his head specifically. His legs can still be damaged, but his head basically becomes invulnerable during that specific animation for some reason.

I loved this video! It’s the first one of yours that I’ve seen, also for why the Mergo’s Wet Nurse jumping attack wasn’t a one shot, it may have been dependent on how many blades you were hit by.
It must have something to do with the hitboxes, but based on the footage it doesn't seem to be about the amount of blades.
@@PressContinue the attack seems to have a 'sour spot' where the damage is reduced near the edges of the hitbox

This is the second video of yours that is a challenge run on this game which I’ve had to save to watch later after I reached the point in the game that I am in myself on my first play through, so I don’t spoil myself.
It’s absolutely insane what you do and very impressive! I struggled so much in the beginning of this game and I’m only now starting to feel a little bit more comfortable, but it is still such a huge adjustment for me coming off of dark souls.
You have such amazing determination! Looking forward to watching more of this as I continue to progress through the game.
Paarl has s when he moves, or frame jumps. I kept missing his head, so I recorded the footage, put it on Twitter to download it, looked frame by frame, and there are constant moments where attacks were clipping into it's head, and not doing any damage. I did more testing and found that some of his moves make his head invisible, may just be bad hitbox alignment with the animation or something, but he's broken or intentionally hard to hit.

I just got a funny idea for a DS2 challenge! Mime challenge, would have to be in NG+ tho, but it'd be beating the game, using the bosses's own weapon/spell against them, and wearing their set too if it is available, wouldn't really be much of a hard run compared to others you did, but it could be fun, and would have a big variety of things used.

@@ImNotCocogoat at this point not much left really. ymfah did a pacifist run, meaning no damage whatsoever from melee, gun, fists, consumables or tools. He used proc from poison damage which is classified as environmental damage and beat the entire game. Worth a watch IMO & maybe a twist on it for Continue... ideas?

I don't know if this guy would make a great general or a terrible one. In war and fromsoft games the only goal is victory. So with this obsession to detail and commitment, he could create a great battle plan. But after we one he might be haunted thinking "could we have won in a more satisfying way".
I hope my terrible metaphor made any sense. I really like these videos, in fact it was this guy who inspired me to try my first challenge run of dark souls 1.

Er... they are synonyms aren't they? Well then again, the term walkthrough basically became synonymous with playthrough so that's why the term guide is used instead. But originally a guide and a walkthrough were the same thing.

For mergo it looks like the damage depends on if each layer of scythes hit you. On the clips where you take double the second layer looks like it hits but that’s just a guess
