Yo Lemon, for any future DS2 runs you do you should know that Large Titanite Shards are free once you reach the Huntsman's Copse. There's a Giant Basilisk at the bottom of the cave just after the first bonfire. It drops 3 Large Titanite Shards guaranteed and respawns so long as you're in the Covenant of Champions. Hope this helps! 🤓
Also, aldia's keep has infinite dragon bones, since you can bonfire ascetic those along with an hollow that drops 2 ascetics (and some other consumables)... double spotted wips (and double boss weapons in future runs) are doable easier than dual normal weapons to upgrade!
only time I ever saw a good build for Whip's in any Dark Souls was using the spotted whip with bleed and notched whip with poison in power stance (Like what he was going for). Purely a PvP focused status build made to torment your opponent into panic rolling away, but it did that job a little too well. Old whip is something I have never seen used seriously thanks to the corpse durability bug and lacking large quantities of hollows in most areas.
it's interesting to see lemon ignore the old whip deliberately, when ji_mothy's whip only run was essentially relying on it for burst damage/boss killing.
Whoever was in charge of the animation for the notched whip definitely was on a quest to make whips feel as little impactful and satisfying to use as possible :D
i'm both surprised and not surprised at all that you ignored the bloodied whip, it has length and poise damage at the expense of being one of the most obnoxious farms in the game to get. looking forward to the dagger run, i believe everyone should start as explorer, and using two daggers without powerstance is a funny looking animation that reminds me of the sadcat dance meme
There's a gauntlet that boosts Bleed buildup the same way the Sanctum Soldier Gauntlets do for Poison: the Shadow Gauntlets from the beak-helmed ninja guys in No-Man's Wharf/Earthen Peak/Lost Bastille. More farming, but at least it's a base game enemy.
For real though the living armour episode was awesome, I'm honestly surprised I've never seen living armour done like that before 'cause it's a really cool idea.

There are two other methods to obtain Poison Stones early: 1. Save scum the nest with Smooth and Silky Stones 2. The Basilisk in the building you find Rosabeth in, just outside of the Bonfire a. Note that Basilisks drop all of the infusion stones, so it won't be consistent*. However if you don't want to go through a lot of steps to get them it's a really easy farm that takes very little time. *However this makes it a great farming spot for any build that uses Infusions, you do have put up with getting stuff useless to you, however it's very early and a quick farm, though you WILL need to be in the Company of Champions to have the thing continue respawning. That spot however is great once you get there, plus it's also a great spot for farming Titanite Chunks. Either a Fire Infused Bow or Fire Arrows will deal with the enemies in the pools, and you just need a good weapon for the enemies that drop Poison Stones.

One thing regarding challenge runs that I like to see, that isn’t here, is “getting all the weapons in the category”. The reason is because it adds an additional sub-goal, and encourages the person to try out all the weapons in a category, seeing the situations in which some are better than others. It can be really informative.

i waited to watch this video until i finished dinner, so lemon asking if we’d had something to eat yet was truly perfect
Loved that little Delicious in Dungeon reference.
Recently watched a whip only run done by someone else, and while the disability thing was an issue for the old whip, it actually slaps for damage
dude the use of spelunky music is so fitting and so nostalgic
One thing regarding challenge runs that I like to see, that isn’t here, is “getting all the weapons in the category”. The reason is because it adds an additional sub-goal, and encourages the person to try out all the weapons in a category, seeing the situations in which some are better than others. It can be really informative.
Damn, I remember watching you when you had like 10 vids on the channel and you're already at almost half a mil subs. Proud of you lemon. You do good work.
Unironically forgot to eat before I watched this video. Thank you, Lemon.
Amazing how this gets uploaded as I was watching the Dark Souls whip run. XD
That Sinh death animation glitch had me in stitches. I have never seen that before. I ended up scaring my sleeping cat.
I love how he predicted that some of us enjoy his content while eating! It just sets the mood!
Was just re watching some older videos, this came at the perfect time 🙏
okay i don't usually comment until the end of the video or so to make sure I don't miss anything, but the "god?" to talking to Shalquoir had me dying
