My man, your videos are absolutely amazing!!! I'm about to buy a 99 Grand Prix with a blown tranny for $400 and this basically tells me everything I need to know. I've been on the path to become a mechanic for a couple years now and while I absolutely love working on cars, I've been very skeptical about pursuing it as a career, but i've been watching your videos and the more I watch, the more my confidence goes up. Definitely keep up the great work on the videos!

the engineers and bean counters, who designed a car like this, need to be fired. removing the steering rack and frame, to change the transmission. it's a damned shame. but you do a great job showing what has to be done. the last 3 trans jobs like this I had to do on my own cars, I bought the trans, gave the cars to a local shop, and they flip the trans in/out for $500.

Thanks for this video Alex. It helped me a lot swap the transmission in my Bonneville this weekend. My GM FSM for the car was utterly useless compared to your instructions.

alex you're a good tech and mechanic- the secret is air tools and 6-point swivel sockets. that's the only way to fly.

The Rack and pinion,I hang a bungee cord at the middle around the exhaust. Those transmission line fitting, there is a release tool for them.Put in,turn it and pull the line out

That tool is a waste of money try using that on a trailblazer. but hey, what ever works for you. I always replace with new clips and o-rings..

The video is nice. But it would have better of you showed close ups of some of the sections so we could see what exactly you were seeing.
