It is hard work I make roughly the same hourly wage but more taxing on the body, chemical exposure etc. So cheers to detailers making it work.
@@miragexl007 just started detailing part time 2 months. I gotta new found respect for detailers now it takes a toll on your body especially at first, I was so sore.
@@miragexl007 I absolutely LOVE owning my own mobile detailing business. I get to create my own schedule, decide my vacation time, spend time with the family whenever I decide, help out friends and family with jobs to earn money and put food on their tables, and best of all have a successful business for my two sons to take over when they grow up. Also not having a boss is a marvelous thing. I send you my condolences for going to do the 9 to 5 thing working for the man... I prefer a moderately active job anyways because when I'm not detailing I'm running or working out so I try to incorporate some cardio exercises into my details by moving as quickly as possible around the vehicle and jogging back and forth to get supplies ect. Idk, it's fun to me. Different strokes for different folks though I guess. As long as we enjoy what we do that's all that matters.
I was a business college business major in marketing and entrepreneurship. You gotta build a support and rapport. Maybe do loyalty program or a buy10get1free plan. People want free stuff so if you give them freebies once a while for their business; they will want it again.
You need to learn to say no to anyone that begins bargaining with you. NO is NO! And you don't need to be everyone's detailer either. You also need to raise your prices, so ppl like this won't even think twice about reaching out to you, because even a 10% discount off your regular prices is still going to be to much for them.
Hey, those are the customers you need every so often! Those customers that give you grief like that....are the ones that make you a better owner/operator. If it wasnt for your enemies in life, you wouldn't be able to test your abilities of what you can do in this world.
That's a rather unique way of looking at it. Most others just pass on those customers, relatively because they're money pits. The actual business adage is, as he said. "I ask what I ask for. They can either pay it or they can't." It's a business respect, that a customer disrespects by automatically demanding every service, undervaluing the professional with their "unprofessional" estimate. Why, I feel like one would become an even better operator if, they could charge you what they felt they were worth, and one wasn't griefed. Why, one might even feel better about the job they did.
I’m from the UK and I had one customer haggle the price over the phone and then they complained and nit picked. The car was in a bad state too. They got a great deal and even after that, they asked for some money to be refunded. Lesson I learnt is that don’t ever deal with people that will try to haggle the price. They either pay what you’re asking for or they can look elsewhere. Simples! I’ve lived by that principle ever since and thankfully haven’t had any issues since that issue.
had a lady hassle me on price, told her id do what her budget allowed, i did more than what her budget allowed... got complaints followed by underpayment , but whatever I'm glad to have her in my contacts as "DO NOT SERVICE, CHEAP CUSTOMER"
@@quintonbutler7148 just had a lady told me that I had to take consideration that she needed to head back to work after dropping her car off and that I was responsible for doing so and picking her up.... people are nuts
I just started detailing on the side, but I own a painting company, when I get a customer that starts negotiating my prices I hang up or walk out. No one is gonna tell me what I’m worth, I decide that. Plus those people are the one that always want more for nothin. ✌️
Facts...also..I simply tell em...I know my self worth and the quality of work I offer and my prices are not negotiable...im not struggling for business or new customers...we are not a good fit for eachother...have a nice day
@@brucecobb2349 yea scammers are the worst....I heard of people pretending to have a detailing business...calling detailers and bring their customer cars in...having the pro detail it and then they collect the difference they charge to their customer for doing none of the work themselves....but simple acting as a "middleman"....they can go screw themselves
I used to be a sales associate at one of those “big car washes” with the vacuums included. Couldn’t tell you how many people would try to charm their way in to getting a free wash lol you gotta learn to say no because people will take advantage.
You carried yourself very well. It's like the saying, "It's all business, never personal." I have the same mentality; no discount upfront, once they see my work, that's a different situation. That's how we retain regulars. I only offered a discount upfront to a car dealership; minimum 3 cars a day, quick detail, 25% off regular price. Keep at it big homie. Love to see your princess along side with you. Generational wealth.
This guy is a perfect business man. I've been watching for quite a while now. Always like all your content bro. My opinion, you need to develop systems to run shit for you. Eventually. You need a good couple guys, and someone to answer the phone. Free up time for yourself. You have huge potential to scale this. Remember.! No one will ever work hard as you or care half as much as you. You need to pay by performance too, not hourly. God bless brother 🙏
I had somebody like this and I told him over and over my price is my price anything extra is extra. Nothing is for free. The car was already cleaned by his dealership and I knew than he was going to be a hassle. Stand your ground firm and let then know it's your business take it or leave it. P.S. This guy did the same thing he took his lawn chair and tried to tell me how to do my job the whole detail. He tried to tell me after I was done that he would send more people and in my mind I was like no thank you 😂😂. Sorry so long.
Yup he can inflated it. Or do a customer loyalty program or something. Like a customer can do 10 car detail and then get 1 extra free. You gotta be a good business man and haggle too.
This is why we only do contract cleaning with a signed service agreement that has all scope of work detailed out in the description box so there's no argument about what is or what is not supposed to be done.
@@eggs5258 not government construction jobs, private sector those guys bust their ass the government is loose on keeping track of how contractors they hire waste time on our dollar. But a company owner won't have loligagging on their dollar.
Love your patience bro! From my experience, customers like that need to be dealt with very matter of factly. Like, super cheap and annoying customers don’t get extra service. I tell them EXACTLY what they’re getting for what they’re paying, nothing more nothing less. I get wanting to get deals, but maaaan some people just want to you to be their slave.
Never discount your prices. They are set because you did your due diligence of your overhead and the lifestyle you want to have, along with funding your investments for your retirement. You give people 10% off they'll want 15 or 20% off you give 20% they'll want 50%. Never entertain a discount especially for no reason.
you can give a discount... only to repetitive customers who never ask for discounts. It's a form of "thank you" for bringing business in. Anyone else, as soon as they ask for lower pricing, should be told "goodbye".
I have an agreement with another Detailer and we send work to eachother from time to time. But everything was spoken before and its good bussiness for both of us. Hi from México!
@HuntersMobileDetailing That is called Poor Mouthing I deal with it a lot... Those pple I drop right off my list. I don't do detailing I repair appliances and there is always @ least 2 folks a day wanting a discount or for me to break even FOR THEM! I have 4 kids and bills just like they do but we aren't as important as the customer OR AT LEAST They think that. Never bend over stand your ground and for every customer, you refuse and lose you will gain 5 more GOOD paying customers. Don't be afraid to tell pple no they are used to whining and complaining to get their way in life and sadly it's pathetic. You are a very respectable fella, and you hold your head up high. There used to be a saying, customers are always right this is a myth nowadays customers have NO clue what is right when it comes to trade work, Unless you live off a trade skill in life you as a customer couldn't possibly understand the cost and the work needed to complete it so don't pretend to think you understand something you have never done. You will always be blessed for doing hard work. ✌
I use a service menu with 3 exterior packages and 2 interior packages, listed as a general cleaning if you want outside of package that is at my hourly rate of $50.00
I do my best to get pictures from the customer or do a walk through before I agree to any price$ The worst thing a detailer can hear from a client is IT'S NOT THAT DIRTY 🤣
Yup! If I can’t see it in person for a quote, I can only give them a range from basic to worst interior for the size of the vehicle from pictures they send me. That way if it’s worse then the pictures show, I have some space to charge a little more
My recommendation, money up front then have a checklist for what is covered for the service. Each checklist can be tailored to the level of service. Checklist is for you to ensure what is completed and them to see what was done.
i had the same thing as a body & paint shop people asking for sand & shoot no body work just sand & paint ,but after people would want me to just do this dent & that dent pretty soon they want the whole car prestean for the sand & shoot price , with the same promas of more work to come
You did everything to your ability to keep from hurting that man and I can understand it. In my town there are so many cheap detailers and I don't even charge what you charge so it's really hard to keep good customers what I've done is I've got a list of clients and those are probably ones I'll stick with new people are recommended by my clients and they already know what the price is. I don't do anything under $150. I get so many people call me and never hear from them again once I shoot out that price. You know what you're worth just like we all do don't ever settle
@Danny Gonzalez Nope I should’ve take a picture of her car before I detail . Rock chip and scratches was already there and she blamed on me. How nice of her. I’m staying a way from people like her.
Not only is a walkthrough always a good idea, but have very detailed written info of your packages, so that customers knows extra what he is paying for, and what’s NOT included BEFORE you even touch his car.
I was thinking this whole time $150 is hella cheap until at the end you explained what the customer's deal was. My detail guy doesn't let me watch the process and I get why now. I told him make it like new, he said it will be better than new. I come to the pick up my car the next day and bam, he was right. Respect your detailer and trust them. He told me what needed to be done after I got more than what iI paid for initially. Keep doing good work and holding your own with these worrisome customers. BTW my first detail was $450, and the second with engine detail was $500.
My brother started his detailing business, but since he is young, he wasn’t taking cash in advance. He ended up cleaning like 5 cars without pay, people argued with him on how their car wasnt clean, after they agreed to pay his price.
That’s a tough situation when the client sits around poking at things that is not part of the package. I’ve learned to do Show them the package, price per size and condition Agree Please do not interrupt while the vehicle is in service until we are done, then you can help us address things that’s within the package and let’s also address the room for improvement, if there’s any questions I have; I will be sure to get your attention so we can move forward. You have to be thoro with some of them, in the most respectful and professional way. On a side note If this was your first heckler lol You did way way better than me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just watched the Detail Geek do a never-cleaned ranch vehicle. It took 16 hours of talent and tools and chemicals to clean that thing. Never let someone talk you down from all the work involved. In construction, every time a person wanted another "extra" they sign a piece of paper for the increased cost of the add-on.
Ay bro, I came across your video and decided to watch it. From one business owner to another… you doing it man. Just when you feel like you’re going to blow a gasket, stay calm but maintain your bottom line. I try and do that and though it’s not the most “popular way” of being a “boss,” It’s actually the wisest move. Stay humble and kind but maintain your bottom line like you do. Refreshing to watch. Stay easy man
HUNTER BRO...check this out....always use a printable checklist...have yes/no options next to every line on the checklist....just the main parts. Example: claybar, interior, wheels, engine bay, vacuum, headliner, shampoo, polish, coating, ect. Then have an empty box on the bottom of the page or next page with addition customer request or special instructions per the customer. Example: stains, scratches, any little extras that arent part of the main parts of detailing. Once you write the customers special request, write down the extra fees next to it. Tally everything up and thats the total price, have the customer agree in Writing and sign thier name, matching thier drivers license, and you write down thier drivers license # and have them put thier initials next to it. Do a walk around with the customer 1 time and have the customer sign the invoice, once everything is agreed upon. If the customer keeps adding more special request during the detail, just deny it until your done with the 1st checklist he/she already signed. Then after they pay, you can go over again and make another checklist with additional charges. Take half the money upfront if you have too, if they dont pay, take them to small claims, you will win everytime, especially with everything documented before and after. This way theres no room for arguments , explanations or special favors. Start putting everything in writing, EVERYTHING! So theres zero room for error. God Bless...
I know for power washing jobs (on YT) they set up payment plans (which in this for a detail I dunno) It allows the customer to make it right. If they still don't pay putting a lien on their house. I think it was called a mechanical one? I DO agree everything in stone. Contract. 1 paragraph or back of the page. Something to protect your ass and your kids/family food.
I think you handled it very well. The only thing I think you may consider is generating a worksheet that specifically identifies all work to be performed along with the total cost and have the customer sign off in advance of any work commencing. This would be particularly helpful with new customers who are more likely to be a problem. Great job Hunter!
You get what you pay for. I've paid 200 for a basic detail and even 500 for one. The difference was UNREAL. Pay people what they are worth! This man was up front with everything. What an awful customer. Handled him with such a calm and professional demeanor. Hats off to you man!
Challenging days as an entrepreneur and since you do high quality work I’d consider raising my prices across the board. But you’re right about the walkthrough and pics before and after would probably be a good idea.
I mean.. Its business like you said it is. I was a middle man for a while.. Although i was clear about it.. I told this one detailer shop.. " Okey, i will get you customers, you will do a good job and stand for whatever faults that might come. And il take the differance between what they pay me and i pay you" Thing is..Then it was okey for the detailer.. He was happy he had clients and didnt need to work or do anything to get it.. And i did my part which was getting people. :) Was a win win for everyone except the customer really.
Damn this needs to be seen by all small business owners. Everybody thinks hustling is easy, and it does once you get to a point. When you’re growing, you have to deal with a lot of pain. Juggling 20 things at once, dealing with shit customers, dealing with shady competitors. I’ve ran a few businesses myself, and can attest to all of this. Big ups to the content creator, seems sharp and smart and hardworking. Best of luck, you’ll do great
That’s the whole reason I started my detailing Buisness. So I can say kick rocks to the customers I don’t want to deal with lol. Always remember a good detailer doesn’t worry about bad customers or about what they say. The details speak for themselves. Once you set a precedent it’s easy after that. But definitely being organized (or if your too busy) find someone to keep you organized. It’s one of many keys to succeed
As a mobile detailer doing this for over 10 years, I'm sorry...I had to laugh bc I know exactly who you're talking about bc they do it over here in Florida also. Always trying to receive the highest quality of service for crackhead prices. Always telling you how to do your job and compare you to other detailers that's willing to do a lot more for less. I used to deal with it and be pissed at myself basically working for free. Not anymore! If I lower my price, I'll have to take shortcuts and not do certain things I would normally do for it to make sense. If they say that's still too high, have a nice day. Like my cousin (mobile detailer) told me, know your worth. It's okay to say no. People won't respect your time like you do. Keep up the great work! I'm proud of you.
Been there before. I did a little tilling business at one time, just side work kind of thing , flower beds and gardens you know. I had one lady who wanted a bed put in at the edge of her patio but when that was finished she asked if we could do jus the sides too, which I did. I ended up doing twice the work and then she had the nerve to ask if I would excavate one entire side of her foundation for the same price, with a rototiller. It was at that point that I had had enough. I bid a price that I knew she would not bite on just so she would leave me alone.
When you have to many options in your detailing services, customers will always expect more than they are paying for. Keep your services simple, charge your worth….and do not lower your standards or PRICES!!!
only quote the full detail up front. Then they can delete tasks if they cannot afford it. Detail check list with printed full price on it and boxes to check on items they do not want to do.
Same thing happened to me last week. I’m an electrician , quoted someone $450 they wanted it for $300, swearing up and down that they have a lot more work for me in the future that they deserve a discount , I politely explained how I could give a discount further down the road for the future work and I never heard back from them. Some people are crazy man those are signs to move on onto the next job
Years ago I lost many 1 time customers after making the "multiple cars in the future for the discount today" deal. Many never call back or if they do they want the discount price but extra service now. I just have to get tough and tell them NO, and sometimes tell them they have to pay full price now. They hang up and that's 1 more crook I don't have to deal with.
Trust me been there done that. I am now sticking to my price. I definitely give them a price range, if they agree we book an appointment. Not too long ago I did a minivan and 17 hrs of detail customer refused to pay the full amount. I was pissed off. Most of the times I'm really blessed with customer who tell me I don't charge enough and that makes up for that one bad customer. But you learn from mistakes and hopefully you get more understanding customer.
Good vid! Man, you have lots of patience to deal with that type of customers. I used to have a tire shop and these guys (most likely the same type person you have - Car Dealer or buys car from Auction) they have no respect for the work and pretends they don't speak the language or know the work it takes just to gouge deals from honest business. I refuse to work with them and my neighbor shop always ends up arguing with them over $10 $20 and they never want to leave. By then we just have to always refuse because they take time with any of us doing business and there were customers just wanted to get their work done. Keep it up !!
My brother has clients sign a paper of the work that's going to happen and the price to lock it in. If they don't sign, he doesn't do the work. If they don't understand what they are signing, he tells them to take it and have someone translate it for them and come back another day. My brother has had a lot of problems and since he does the sign the contract of the work thing, no more problems.
I saw this telegraphed from go. I would have never taken this customer's business from the start. Not the kind of client you want. If he's gunna have a problem with your pricing, he's also gunna have issues with your service. Price hagglers don't value your service or your worth.
in my career i always go by a saying if there’s no respect then there won’t be no buisness, you can have patience but if they continue to push it and not respect the original deal then it’s your job to not be walked over for what they want hopefully this helps people starting their buisness
People are so full of it. I used to do video production work and a company would baulk at our prices when we would put an estimate together for them. They always asked for 20% to 30% off of our estimate. They would always promise a second and third video project if we did that. So, we would tell them that the first video would be our full rate and that the second video would be ABSOLUTELY FREE! We never had to do a free video.
The perfect example of a customer detailers DO NOT want to deal with. Nothing sucks more for a new detailer than having customers try to verbally force you and pressure you to clean way more than advertised and discussed (hopefully). You have every right to tell that dude to not come again. It's at the point to where you could consider this nothing more than a selfish attempt to bite for more than your paying for, with no regard for business courtesy & conduct.
People need to take their childish behavior somewhere else. Hunter was extremely calm and professional when working with difficult customers (we all have those stories). Keep up the great work Hunter!💪🏽
In my shop i give like a name cards with 10 small circles in it. Every time they wash i will check out 1 circle . And the 10th time they come they get a free wash for the 10th time . Ya that system Works great for me . Haha
You should consider a scheduling team that’s a group of employees responsible for handling customer disputes, scheduling, changes of scheduling, and assisting on-site detail technicians. i’d definitely apply since I can’t work for you as a detailer!
You did a good job and provided excellent customer service in my opinion and you handled everything gently with that rude customer... Keep up the good work. FYI I'm a contractor and I get my fair share of people trying to get something for free or discount so I get it
Have my own business too. Always so annoying when a customer is following you around, and adding stuff to do after agreement. "Can you just do that real quickly too?" 10 minutes extra work, is money lost on other jobs. People who aren't entrepreneurs themselves don't seem to realise that often.
i hear that kinda stuff all the time in my businesses as well. they want discounts the second they call you . they tell you they gonna brign you lot of customers but they never do. but there are customers that do bring me business and thats when i do hook them up
Most people are unreasonable. Just keep positive sit back pray in your head the next one is positive. One thing I learned is if they can't speak your language stay away! Language barrier creates mis communication.
As soon as a potential client starts telling me about people theyve referred and how their gonna be sending me more work, my radar goes off. It never fails, their looking for something free or a discount. I got my ways to kindly pass them on to another mechanic.
I have 10+ years retail experience and over 3 years running a 7 million dollar store. Goods have a profit margin and can have some wiggle room. You're selling your time and experience/skill...Your time is something you can never get back, and your experience/skill is something you've probably spent years perfecting. This is your craft, and you should never let someone devalue your work. If they value what you do, they'll pay your rate. If they don't...then they don't deserve it.
I believe that a company should never turn down business and would be happy to work with another company passing work back and forth. If their work is up to standards. Bad customers are always going to be there. Just try to stay calm and do what you can to please them. But you still have to make a living. Always remember people will leave negative reviews faster than positive ones. Sometimes you just have to get through it and move on.
just like you said its apart of business i got a little over 6 years of detail experience i worked in fort worth the clients over there pay unlike Dallas where im from they want to pay 30 dollars for 150$ value of a detail or they will go to Miguel who charges 40 to vacuum and dawn soap your interior and its the same thing apparently were not professionals but i drove 150 miles to charge 200 per detail instead 50 what we charged in dallas its mobile at home convenient and we had a shop in dallas near 175 and 20/635 Loved it hated dealing with the cheapos we do quaility work and trust us you get what you paid for
I understand where the customer is coming from, in other countries haggling prices and services is part of the culture. You are lucky he didn't want to pay in fruits, foods, or exchange of services. Best work, Best look, Best price. I also see your point as a business person having other employees, time frames, and quality of work going out the door. If you have brochures to outline work estimates and subject to change based in extra time or materials needed to factor in. Having them sign contracts or disclaimers understanding pricing, work, materials, and other mutual agreements. Sometimes also have to be able to just say "No" and work solely what was agreed upon; if you work with people they will think bargaining is still on the table. American business is different than other countries and cultures.
Everytime i worked customer service at a paint store people would come in and ask for discounts when they never even have been to the place. It was a mom n pop place and our prices were worth it because of the service we offered to everyone. If you make my day better and your nice, come in more then once, then id give you them without even asking. But dont expect to get good things for less, products and services cost a specific price for a reason a lot of times.
You have a shop I would designate a waiting section and a service card that shows them what they received. When you see a mechanic you don’t get to sit in the work area. Have them wait in your supplies shop while you work to prevent this from happening.
Just tell them that if it is not paid in full by a certain date, there will be a lien on their vehicle. Also no new work will be done until what is already done is paid in full.
4:24 my question is how would u send one of your clients to another business(that charges less than u do) & not lose any future details from that customer to Hunter??? Originally I thought a worker from the more expensive place would just drive the car to Hunter after the customer dropped the car off. However Hunter himself just said they send the customer over to him.
I stopped detailing because of this very reason, it was really discouraging when I would put in hours of work and effort. People take advantage too much and even after explaining and showing the process I would get a "Oh I can get wax put on in the drive thru car wash". Then go pay 15 bucks for the car wash. The worst is when I spent 12 hours doing a paint detail and then the dude washes his car with Dawn dish soap stripping all the wax right off.
I don’t normally comment. Been watching you since you started the business. But this junk here pissed me off. Some people always trying to get over. One guy made me so mad, I told him I’m not about to finish your car. He can get someone else to finish it. I didn’t care about getting paid for what I already done. Car had mold and I was half way done. I just wanted him gone!
We agreed on a price for me to treat and remove the mold. After I started the process, he told me he is only going to pay half of that because he felt like it was an easy job and not worth it.

People want free stuff so if you give them freebies once a while for their business; they will want it again.
rudeee
You need to learn to say no to anyone that begins bargaining with you. NO is NO! And you don't need to be everyone's detailer either. You also need to raise your prices, so ppl like this won't even think twice about reaching out to you, because even a 10% discount off your regular prices is still going to be to much for them.
Thats how you get rid of broke di$ks amen. I use to work at an NTB I hated when they printed at 13.99 oil change . Worst customers ever
Raising the prices to avoid cheap people will also make people who would normally spend the money go somewhere else where it's cheaper.
Simples! I’ve lived by that principle ever since and thankfully haven’t had any issues since that issue.
stand your ground man! you doing good. you cant please everyone. sometimes you just gotta walk away from ruthless customers
had a lady hassle me on price, told her id do what her budget allowed, i did more than what her budget allowed... got complaints followed by underpayment , but whatever I'm glad to have her in my contacts as "DO NOT SERVICE, CHEAP CUSTOMER"
The customer that pays $50 will complain loudly. The one that pays $5000 will thank you for taking care of them
I do that all the time too lol. I can't stand cheap customers, but especially rude customers.

You carried yourself very well. It's like the saying, "It's all business, never personal."
I have the same mentality; no discount upfront, once they see my work, that's a different situation. That's how we retain regulars.
I only offered a discount upfront to a car dealership; minimum 3 cars a day, quick detail, 25% off regular price.
Keep at it big homie. Love to see your princess along side with you.
Generational wealth.
To me it seems they want a discount for a never detailed car or heavily soiled? I like the no discount unless you bring volume.
What kind of things was he saying to you during the detail?
Just raise all your prices by 10% and then give first time customers 10% off 😆
Yup he can inflated it. Or do a customer loyalty program or something. Like a customer can do 10 car detail and then get 1 extra free. You gotta be a good business man and haggle too.

What happened to your receptionist? I thought you had one?
Wasn't she just on the last video?

I have an agreement with another Detailer and we send work to eachother from time to time.
But everything was spoken before and its good bussiness for both of us.
Hi from México!
Respect bro! I know it’s not easy trying to explain things and be in a rush for a full detail! You do amazing work sir!
He worked you! There are people like that out there! Unreal! You too nice Wayne! Stand firm with your standards.
Yup lol
So true 😂😂
Dude you handled that extremely well. Bravo to you and your team
I love his honesty in these videos
You're definitely too nice, you gotta have a spine champ and say fuck these ignorant customers
i had the same thing as a body & paint shop people asking for sand & shoot no body work just sand & paint ,but after people would want me to just do this dent & that dent pretty soon they want the whole car prestean for the sand & shoot price , with the same promas of more work to come
You did everything to your ability to keep from hurting that man and I can understand it.
You need to figure out how to say... "What is your budget. We have the $60/80/and $150
3 weeks ago I did 4Runner and they didn’t want to pay me either. She’s my wife’s friend. How cool is that.
@Danny Gonzalez Nope I should’ve take a picture of her car before I detail . Rock chip and scratches was already there and she blamed on me. How nice of her. I’m staying a way from people like her.
Did she look cool? If she does tell her there are other forms of payment if you know what I mean
I’ve learned to do
Show them the package, price per size and condition
Agree
Please do not interrupt while the vehicle is in service until we are done, then you can help us address things that’s within the package and let’s also address the room for improvement, if there’s any questions I have; I will be sure to get your attention so we can move forward.
You have to be thoro with some of them, in the most respectful and professional way.
On a side note
If this was your first heckler lol
You did way way better than me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just watched the Detail Geek do a never-cleaned ranch vehicle.
You handled it the right way. You don't need those kind of customers.
Proud of you for the way you handled that as a leader. God sees it all.
Must be in an area where it is a demand
You handled very professional, i would've just told him to leave. Having customers are important but some customers are not worth their business
You did great, hold your ground and don't let others dictate what you're time is worth!
My simple rule is "you will get a %discount" card for the next purchase
Damn way overpriced rat
@@user-ho5vh1rv6r ??
I noticed your cap has my favorite scripture. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through christ who strengthens me.
You're awesome bro
Im a manger at a detail shop. I walk through each and every car , price accordingly and collect payment before work even starts
You handled it that is all that Matters . God will bless you and your family people like that will get theirs.
in my career i always go by a saying if there’s no respect then there won’t be no buisness, you can have patience but if they continue to push it and not respect the original deal then it’s your job to not be walked over for what they want hopefully this helps people starting their buisness
Stand your ground, respect yourself and your work, no friends in business, time is money.
In that situation what i would've done... is just lost my mind 🤣😂great job handling the situation
Respect man, know your worth. Know your value.
Ya that system
Works great for me .
Sorry man - and you seem like such a great guy too. People can really suck. Good luck as you grow- much success to you !
I had a customer that was just like that but for mechanic work. While your fixing one thing they keep adding other issues to be fix same price
Chris brown voice: these customers ain't loyal😂😂
I believe that a company should never turn down business and would be happy to work with another company passing work back and forth. If their work is up to standards.
Bad customers are always going to be there. Just try to stay calm and do what you can to please them. But you still have to make a living. Always remember people will leave negative reviews faster than positive ones. Sometimes you just have to get through it and move on.
just like you said its apart of business
i got a little over 6 years of detail experience i worked in fort worth the clients over there pay unlike Dallas where im from they want to pay 30 dollars for 150$ value of a detail or they will go to Miguel who charges 40 to vacuum and dawn soap your interior and its the same thing apparently were not professionals but i drove 150 miles to charge 200 per detail instead 50 what we charged in dallas its mobile at home convenient and we had a shop in dallas near 175 and 20/635 Loved it hated dealing with the cheapos we do quaility work and trust us you get what you paid for
I understand where the customer is coming from, in other countries haggling prices and services is part of the culture.
Ain’t no one waiting more than 1 1/2 hour 🤣
Just tell them that if it is not paid in full by a certain date, there will be a lien on their vehicle. Also no new work will be done until what is already done is paid in full.
Love your passion man! You are an inspiration and because of you and a few others I'm going to make the leap and start my own detailing biz!
Idk how to feel about that I mean you can't fight every demon that's sent your way I get that but damn that's rough people playing like that
Hay Wayne Joe from fort mill South Carolina I’ve lots of customers that do the same thing. I learned not to put so much stress
Cause it was a limited thing so I don’t think his prices are always that low
Cash Upfront before work commences, is generally the best policy with some customers / businesses
