Opening up a detailing business in 2025 is going to be tough! There’s a ton of competition! A lot of people who are happy making $80 a day and not reporting/paying self income taxes. A lot of younger dudes who are hungry but don’t have the proper mindset or mentorship to turn their 25/hour business into a $75-100\ hour. Locally a shop holds a monthly meeting open to all detailers and we try to show them that they are severely undercharging and chasing the wrong clients. I hope more shops can do this community event to help detailers raise the bar, their wages and SOPS. Much love Hunter!
Wow! I asked myself where have you been and clicked on your page an hour ago and saw you didn’t post for 2 months, and now I see you posted! How awesome
All praise to the Most High glad to see you walking in favor💯🫡 Been asking Reyes about you glad to see everything is on the up and up with you. Stay blessed brother 🫡
Im thankful to have learned through word of mouth, and watching some detailers on UA-cam. It’s a gradual process but I can say my business is very busy and has grown more in just 1 year 🙏🏽
Good video. Fleet have a 30net payments syatem.... I working with Auto Parts for a long time. And implementing my work into my new Detailing in the Bay Area. Working on my app and set-up my LLC. The way to go after a detailing for a while
I just started gathering tools. I asked a local detailer for some mentoring and that I would work for free. They said they were not interested. Its hard to find people that don't realize that there are more cars than there are detailers. I don't see anyone as competition, but as coworkers.
It's up and down 19 years in. But I had the 100-employee situation before now just solo. Just me and my buffer. love the flexibility and what you put in you get OUT. Just keep at it. Its work
been in owning my own car detailing business for my 3rd year now i also work 9 to 5 now i cant speak on paying employees, a booking page outside of FB business booking page, and having this be main income but: God fearing man...check my own logo and shirts....check being LLC'd ....check social media presents and 5 star reviews...check business cards and flyers...check systems in place before, during, and after the detail.....check still small time, but seems like a legit car detailing business to me and Im in Ohio....4 seasons im in the green come tax season...so i dont know no training...just jumped on you tube univ. and started following you and several others to get started but to suggest that someone's startup isnt real because payroll and employees arent present is debatable
I’ve had Amazon reach out and to be honest what they’re paying to do 150 fleet vehicles was a waste of time. I also told them that’s why you’re constantly having problems with the detailers that’s coming out. Don’t get me wrong to have a contract is good but to be slaved for a contract and worked the shit out of is a no for me. Most fleet place will throw that large number of vehicles at you to throw you off if you really don’t understand numbers and detailing. Know your worth in this business & understand your time, short term & long term number before doing anything.
It can be tough, if you don't establish a system or process or even a culture. I have found out how to systematize it and monetize it. Remember, this is BUSINESS. No one is your friend, including your employees. You have to learn how to manage instead of perform services, and be quick to get rid of individuals who do not conform to the system. Stay away from dealerships and honor your contracts. You can set yourself apart from the bunch, if you position your company as a trusted source and not another name. Fleet work can put you into another bracket that most detailers can't reach. We too do fleet work and its growing. That's when the real business begins. Learn how to delegate and don't waste time on issues that don't generate revenue or impact your bottom line.
I lose plenty of "fleet" clients because they want to bust my balls. I am solo, and I can safely say the best way to do fleet is to have employees and pay them dirt cheap. Now that might hurt the soul, but thats analogous with how those companies operate, and what they will/can afford. In any case, its rare to find a large corp. looking for quality work and willing to pay the price. - Wash Dawgs Detail, TN
Is there a way you can go over insurance. Like cost for ur company and personal insurance. Was interested in starting my own mobile detail like yourself but those are also costs I need to consider. Thank you.
Lol stop being so emotional it’s not that serious. You said that like it was going to hurt my feelings. Now I don’t even remember what I said in the video. What do you want to know?
I Appreciate you allowing me to come out & film with you & take notes on wet sanding!

I don't know how you guys do it with so much competition in California. 99% of youtube videos are all from there.
