    Agree with Formula Renault. I tried this car in the demo and it put a smile on my face pushing this car to the limit and over... So i went on and bought PC2. Now I wish they could get the Indycars to the same awesome level as this car. :)

    Some cars feel phenomenal where you can really push them at the limit thanks to controllable slip and a very progressive grip level, but then there are cars that seem to be glued to the track like the KTM x-bow. I can throw that Thing around the track like crazy and it still remains so stable in every sitation. These are the Moments where I atelast doubt that a car could behave like that in real life. Also I'm a big fan of the vintage Lotus in general, but the Lotus 49 seems to behave way too stable, it practically never spins out (aside from touching the grass) but gets into drifts that basically recover themselves and the car straightens itself out.

    The classic Lotus open-wheelers are my favourite - was the same in pCARS1 as well. I've been doing a few races against the AI in the 49C on Bannochbrae, makes for some close racing and you can really slide that car all over the road. Hopefully we'll see Road Atlanta added to the game down the line, I'd love to take the Porsche GT1 there, hopefully without doing an airborne backflip though.

    nice vid. very interesting to see choices from other peoples.
    here's my list classed by category:
    GT3: Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. I love beating people with that car with a tune that I have the secret :D
    GTE: Ford GT LM
    GT1: Panoz Esperante GTR-1 and far ahead, Toyota TS020 GT-One 1998(#27 Esso Ultron)
    LMP900: Toyota TS020 GT-One 1999(#3 Esso Ultron

    The last cars I loved before moving to something else (*cough* iRacing *cough*) were the C7.R and especially the Panoz GTR-1. I know the Porsche is very agile and flickable, I challenge you over two of my TT laptimes done on patch 1.3 (PC) ; Oschersleben (my last one) and Zolder (my first one).

    I love the formula x. Why don't you like it? I also like the Ford cosworth, the Ford escort rally, and the lotus type 40 all of these mostly for the instability other than the formula x. I'd have to add the ktm and and the radical you mentioned. I can't stand the Cateham, never understood why anyone liked it. It's all well and good till it comes around on you. Their is no recovery in that car. The lotus type 40 is crazy fun. It has so much oversteer you can let off the gas slide where you want then hit the gas. It's crazy fun to slide around and so controllable while you're out of control.

    Is it just me, or are some of the setups in this game undrivable. So many cars feel like I’m on ice with the rear end.

    • @CristiNeagu

      You gotta get those tyres up to pressure!

    • @benlyda9781
      @benlyda9781 6 років тому

      are they too low in the game?

    • @CristiNeagu
      @CristiNeagu 6 років тому

      No, but unlike other games, in PC2 the tyre pressures matter a lot, just like in real life. And because you might be racing in different conditions, the default setups cannot give you a tyre pressure that works every time. Keep an eye on your telemetry HUD and compare with the recommendations here: forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?57541-Project-CARS-2-Tyre-Temps

    I don’t understand how people can enjoy pc2 when you’ve raced a full sim like iRacing, Assetto corsa, rFactor etc.

    • @shaft9000
      @shaft9000 6 років тому +2

      the "any weather on any track" ability is pretty special, no?

    • @CristiNeagu
      @CristiNeagu 6 років тому +2

      Well, having a realistic tyre model is a plus over those "full sims".

    • @HandlesSuck123
      @HandlesSuck123 6 років тому +3

      Pfffttt. iRacing and AC being "full" sims.
      The closest the public will get to a "full" sim is rF2.
      PC2 is far better than AC. AC's tyre model is way too simplistic to be called a "full" sim.
      I still enjoy it, but we gotta be realistic here, it's quite outdated :)

    • @koningwillie6839
      @koningwillie6839 6 років тому +1

      URsuckishATlife a complexer tire model doesn’t mean more realistic, have you ever driven a real car on a track?

    • @CristiNeagu
      @CristiNeagu 6 років тому +1

      Considering that *all* sims on the market use tyre models that are compromised in one way or another due to computational limits, a more complex tyre model *will be better.*

    Man, I've been trying to like this game but the A.I. and many of the default setups are just *infuriating*.
    Such a shame as the game looks and drives great, usually. (on regular XBone w. thrustmaster TX/599 here) I'd like a full fanatec & PC VR setup but my apt. is tiny.
    Thanks for all the cool viddys, anyhow :)

    Hey SimRacing604, In real life i do track days in older hatchbacks with under 200bhp. I prefer to race these kind of cars when simracing too. However, PC2 only has a couple of cars like this. I think Automobilista just has the fiat uno and thats it.
    Are them any racing sims that have a good selection of ordinary cars as opposed to motorsport beasts? The cars i would love in a sim racer would be something like a nissan Pulsar hatchback or a older model Reno Clio RS.
    Any ideas?

    • @SimRacing604
      @SimRacing604  6 років тому +1

      cacarey01 hey there, thanks for checking out my video. The only sims I can think of that are heavy on road cars are Forza and Gran Turismo, and if you have experience track racing real cars, you may be disappointed in their physics. Another option might be mod cars (check out RaceDepartment.com) for Assetto Corsa on PC. There are a lot of great mods available, and something might pique your interest.

    • @cacarey01
      @cacarey01 6 років тому

      SimRacing604 thanks for the reply. I do own Gran Tourismo but my wheel only supports PC and Xbox. And I don't own an Xbox. I will definitely look into Assetto Corsa mods. Thanks Again!

    • @speckracing7165
      @speckracing7165 6 років тому

      cacarey01 indeed assetto corsa has a substantial car list that are road legal and i encounter on trackdays, plus there are the mods. www.assettocorsa.net/cars/
