It's a slow one, but the Ginetta G40 junior is perfect for something that purely relies on skill to get the most of it, first car i drove and just felt so much better about the game after driving some poor cars.
I noticed on some of the cars handle much better when I load up the stable setup. Every car loads with the loose setup and makes most handle like it's on ice.
You have to load stable everytime you drive the car, it doesn't save, loose is default for pretty much all cars and i'd say 90% of negative reviews are because nobody realises you have to change it and many won't realise that it even exists. Big difference, and incredibly stupid and bad idea on the developers part to make the default for all cars basicaly drift mode...
Yes I agree that having the loose setups default was not a good choice, and I found those stable setups by accident. PC2 has a lot of poetical of being a really good sim, just seems like the game wasn't ready for release. Lets hope they keep working on it and not drop the fixes like PC1. Only thing I want is to be able to race, I get constant game crashing at the moment do to using a direct drive wheel.
After readings these comments, I looked for how to change from the loose to stable set-up but can't find this option anywhere. Could someone point me in the right direction please?
The Nissan GT-R GT3 is a pretty amazing drive. It sticks to the road like a suction cup, and it's very computerized/mechanical like Nissan gt-r's should be. Not as fun as BAC Mono or KTM obviously, but fun in a different way.
As a great fan of all vintage cars I can strongly recommend trying LOTUS Type 78 Cosworth 1977 - it is one hell of a machine. It drives like mad and engine sound is just sublime. Just try it on Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps - Historic and try push it to the limit.
If you're struggling with instant lock ups I suggest turning the brake pressure down by 10 percent on a lot of cars too many lock ups do ruin lines and lap times
Best done as a configuration change of the FFB in Options, not per car setup. I set mine to 20, default was 30, 50 means 1:1. Maybe 30 or 50 works with you have a modded pedal with realistic pedal, I'm on a unmodded brake pedal and 30 or 50 definately lead to early locking
the ktm X-bow on assetto is phenomenal. ITs the best car to drive on any sim racing game imo.The 488 gt3 is nice car to drive on pc2 also, as well as the little bathtubs the rally cross cars are fun to drive
Strange to hear the 720S on the disappointing cars, that was one of my favorite cars to drive since buying this game. Gotta definitely agree with you though on the Lancer Evo 9, all the Evos are amazing in PCars 2. Driving in snow or thunderstorm really makes the Evo's shine. Another car I like is the BMW 2002 Stanceworks, and the Toyota GT86 around Brands Hatch is great. I think instead of the Sesto Elemento, a better choice would have been a version of the legendary Murcielago. I tend to drive in the rain mostly. Awesome video dude.
Hey Mike, if you play this game long enough consistently, to be so-called "being dialed in" to how the game behaves. Then I am curious how that will compare, once you play either R3E & AMS again in the future....................... and how those games feel now, put up against PC2 (hey there might be a video in that, Mike?) I've been just too sick to play it, and I struggled to get the Bathurst video out as it was.
Nissan R89C is worth checking out and sounds like a beast in replay and I just tried the Ferrari 330 P4 at Rouen and had a real blast. Easy to get out of shape but also easy to bring back in line so very satisfying.
Great videos and channel! If you like the BAC mono and the KTM Xbow you might also like the caterham 620. Super fun and wild car. Tons of power to weight, super light and totally barebones, absolutely whips around the tracks. Great grip, and when you push it you can easily find the limit, and even rotate it around the corners by spinning the backend. I've tried caterhams in rfactor and Assetto and neither one has the 620, and also I don't feel like they're modeled nearly as nicely as the 620 in PC2. Definitely worth a shot. Handles kinda similar to the KTM Xbow. Go whip it around the Nordschleife and post us an onboard if you like it.
The McF1 GTR LT and BAC Mono are my two favourites (so far). For the BAC, I like it even more on the OEM setup then summer tyres (even though it's obviously slower), makes it so tolerant to chucking around (like the KTM).
I agree with you on the 720 it's shocking ! They had a guy from McLaren in the studio to consult them on the handling, something's amiss surly, this car should have pin sharp handling.
I know. Supposedly the designer of the car signed off on Pcars 2 as an accurate model so something is off. Maybe they changed things after his approval and screwed it up somehow. Dunno.
It's funny about the Mclaren because the 650S was easily the single best handling and feeling roadcar in the first one. It was one of the few cars you could actually manhandle and hold slides with in that game.
You need to get braver on your corners. Good track knowledge. Don't be afraid to hook the cars in more also lower your brake pressure. All great cars by the way.
It sounds like youre locking tires under braking quite often. Kinda weird cuz its also happening in cars that have abs... Or do you just turn abs off all the time?
agenthoini its a weird thingthat all the cars does. When you brake Hard thet sound like they are locking up but the ones Who have abs actually are braking. I hope that they change that in a future patch because its kind of frustrating and doesnt give yoy a very good output of the behavior under braking
I play controller on Xbox one and the 720s is one of the good ones for me. I was hugely disapointed with the r32 gtr skyline, really wanted that to be awesome but it just spins so easy. Maybe Im shit but its weird that I can drive other cars good. Seems like they put all there effort into Rally X handling cause that is really good (for controller)
Idk how much of a difference this makes cause I don't have PC2 yet, but in PC1 if you had cold tires all cars handled like shit and the lambo and 720s both have very cold tires when you were doing laps so any footage or can someone confirm if the handling is still terrible even after heating the tires up.
sesto elemento is quite good, just turn off Stability, traction and turn down ABS to low. Stability and traction control are too invaisve, so no wonder you don't feel the car. The McLaren is Meh. Try the Caterham and the Ginetta GT4!
I know u uploaded this video a year ago and maybe they patched some of these cars since but I completely disagree about the 720s and the sesto elemento, unless you have driven the real life cars on real life tracks how can u really know how accurate and realistic they are, neither car are race cars, but they have certain characteristics I personally love, IMO it doesn't take any skill to drive gt cars, they are the easiest cars to drive, why do u think so many noobs love gt3, because they ate moderately fast, tons of downforce, and extremely easy to drive, a real pro drives group c, gt1, lmp900s, and road and track cars
Try disabling Surround if using Nvidia and then run PC2 on one screen. Then try enabling Surround again. Also you will need to increase the resolution in PC2 and enable triple screens. I had a problem with PC2 and triple screens too.
The 720s was developed with the McLaren test driver, he said the car in game is very close to driving the real thing, so your opinion is very poor, I love the car, many people do, I feel this is a unicorn car, much better than many others. You also are not a great driver either...
Worst racing game ever made and I thought number 1 was bad I got a refund right away and ive never asked for a refund and you know what they had no problem giving it to me they said alot of people are asking for refunds on this game if 6ou dont have a pc or a wheel do not get this game if yoy cant play it in 4k or hdr dont get because it looks like a 12 year old made it
GeetarGeeker no thats the crazy thing I vould play it well everybody said the controls sucked but the controls werent the prpblem with me it was everything else it just wasnt at the quality they made it seem to be I got it for xbox one and the graphics were horrible it was extremely twitchy the game play wasnt smooth everytjing looked fake in it and the physics werent that great and liem I said there are many people getting refund literally over half of the people that get it go out and sell it or the get a refubd for the digital version thru microsoft they told me that the had no problem refunding the game for me because they have had alot of complaints it was rrally a horrible experience the controls werent bad it was everything else everybody said its really hard to play it really wasnt that vad nor that hard once you tweak the settings it just didnt seem like a very well made game noe im sure on a comp in 4k its much better but the gameplay is still bad it just didnt seem good
I don't get it with the hate on the Sesto Elemento. No, they are not the same, at all. The LMS has RWD, the Elemento has AWD. Its gonna understeer a bit more. 2nd, im pretty sure the Elemento has grooved tires, while the LMS has slicks. 3rd, the LMS has a LOT more downforce, so ofc its gonna feel more stable and faster through corners. Also, in the video, your tires were cold, therefor handling wasnt gonna be optimum. So, its 2 different cars that your comparing IMO and thats why you are let down. You're comparing a full-blooded racecar to an insane trackday car. There's a difference.
In the same vein as the KTM is the Caterham 620R. So much fun to throw around Knockhill, and so alive. And I absolutely agree on the Lamborghini, it's a horror! But the Huracan ST saves the brand a little, enjoyed that one.
The Caterham is nice, but bloody impossible to see out of. It's like the carbon fibre 'wind shield' or whatever was purposefully designed to hinder visibility. Renders the car unusable for me.
I like the Honda Indy cars, Road and Oval, depending on the track. I also like the Formula Renault 3.5, but at my level I downgraded to the Indy. Love the force feedback of the KTM X-Bow, but the shifting...
I can't ;put my finger on it but I fell in love with the Lotus 49. It's a butt load of power on such a light chassis. And so old school. Also the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 . The sound of this cars engine alone ? OMG I almost wet my pants the very first time i jumped in and started this monster up. A little tail end happy if you let it but that's to be expected but ohhhh so fun to drive . Great video btw and new sub.
Hey mate, I'm the guy who did that reddit post praising the Evo IX. Turn traction all the way up to 100% (no intervention) and ABS all the way down. Its even better than you've shown :) edit: Also I've found the 720S is in a weird spot, you have to play with the traction control setting a heap and the ABS. Turning OFF stability control is also a must, I personally put the traction at 50% and ABS at 20%. That said you are correct there is something wrong with it in feel and character. edit2: Also if you're struggling with braking set your pressure to 50%. Any higher on my Clubsport V1's the cars just lock at the slightest touch.
There's a Lotus, I think it's called 98T or similar. 1986 F1 car, 1300BHP, handles like a dream and if you open up the turbo to 100% it's mental = epic.
M1 coupe is a good car although sound seems off, sounds more like a Porsche flat 6 than a boosted bmw straight 6. pcars2 should have the e46 and e92 m3 road cars as well, big omission.
Hey mate, really liked your video but I got the feeling you might miss some points regarding your least favorit cars. First of all let me say that I got motorsport experience and I also worked as a testdriver for sports and racecars (tyre companies etc.). I must also admit that I never drove the Sesto Elemento, only the Aventador when it comes to Lamborghini. But I feel like you judge those cars based on what you know about "normal" cars. For example, the 720S features a completly different drivetrain in combination with an aerosystem which works magic as soon as you really use it as a "computer" rather than a normal car. Same applies to the Sesto Elemento which features a poweroutput that can be too much for the grip it actually produces. All this feels totally different to normal cars, especially when it comes to hybrid drivetrains. They need to be handled differently and their output sometimes is the complete opposite of classic cars. Saying "how can they be so wrong" sounds totally wrong to me, since I guess you never actually drove these cars? I will not say "you are totally wrong" because even if I drove McLarens and Lambos, I never drove exactly these models.. so I don´t know either. It´s just based on what I experienced with racecars and other supercars in comparison to what people normaly believe is right. And especially with hypercars, they just don´t work like normal cars. Sorry, way too long, but good video nevertheless, I enjoyed your Evo part ;) (owned an Evo 6 and drove an evo 8 for some time and had the same feeling ingame) Keep going!
GRunner28 thanks for the feedback. You share an opinion with many other commenters. I'll probably be revisiting the 720S and Sesto Elemento soon for another drive.
I love the oldschool stock mustang, so fun to drift every possible chance you get and so easy to straighten out. BMW z4 GT3 is my favorite though, however I had to mimic my AC setup before it was any good. My green hell Bmw z4 gt3 setup: 3.4 front camber, 2.7 rear, 1 tick on front wing, 3 on rear, -0.5 toe front, 0 rear. gearing should hit 280 on the faster parts of the track, all tires were set to 3rd lowest psi, rear ARB is 3rd lowest setting, front was 3rd highest setting.
not sure how well it would do on just the GP, mine is meant for top end while having just enough downforce to take those nordschleife high speed turns without sliding out
The Corvette C7R just perfectly matches my driving style, I know there are faster GTE and GT3 class cars but I love how its pretty stable but with just a hint of wildness through the turns. Don't know how you like that KTM thing though, the understeer on it is horrible.
What is the deal with all the ridiculous head movement in this video? I haven't really noticed it in other PC2 videos. Its like the seat rail is broken and the seat is free to move forward/back with G-forces. I don't know how you can drive like that with all the exaggerated movement.
Considering the driving shown here I am not sure how you're talking about exceeding the cars' limitations and pushing too hard. Physics are hard to judge/compare when one is nowhere near the actual limit.
Is there any way to reverse the zoom in/out effect? It seems counterintuitive to have the camera zoom in at low speeds when you want to see a tight apex, then zoom out when you want to see long distance reference points at 200kph.
It's a slow one, but the Ginetta G40 junior is perfect for something that purely relies on skill to get the most of it, first car i drove and just felt so much better about the game after driving some poor cars.
The car I put the most miles on.
Same ! I drove lot of cars and when I tried the ginetta junior to go back to the basic I realised how fun it is to drive slow cars fast !!
Just found out that Ford Mustang Cobra Trans-Am has excellent drivability!
Sesto Elemento feels like from different game. Like someone forgot to put the physics/FFB in
Zakspeed capri still kicks ass and sounds awsome! Definitely one of my favourites
On ps4 it's horrific, just wants to spin impossible to keep in a straight line.
@@british.3037 i agree
I noticed on some of the cars handle much better when I load up the stable setup. Every car loads with the loose setup and makes most handle like it's on ice.
Hmmm thanks, I'll check this out. Do the stable setups save permanently, or do you load them every time you start the game?
You have to load stable everytime you drive the car, it doesn't save, loose is default for pretty much all cars and i'd say 90% of negative reviews are because nobody realises you have to change it and many won't realise that it even exists. Big difference, and incredibly stupid and bad idea on the developers part to make the default for all cars basicaly drift mode...

loose loads up by default for wheel users, stable is default for gamepad users
After readings these comments, I looked for how to change from the loose to stable set-up but can't find this option anywhere. Could someone point me in the right direction please?
Few hours in, really enjoyed the NSX GT3, Ferrari F50 (the GT1 version) and the McLaren F1 LM (also the GT1 version)
The Nissan GT-R GT3 is a pretty amazing drive. It sticks to the road like a suction cup, and it's very computerized/mechanical like Nissan gt-r's should be. Not as fun as BAC Mono or KTM obviously, but fun in a different way.
tried the lambo Veneno yesterday and its pretty much the same, lifeless, slippery, just not what one would expect from a car like this.
This car is just try not to bin it especially on high boost, so fun
If you're struggling with instant lock ups I suggest turning the brake pressure down by 10 percent on a lot of cars too many lock ups do ruin lines and lap times

Agreed
the ktm X-bow on assetto is phenomenal. ITs the best car to drive on any sim racing game imo.The 488 gt3 is nice car to drive on pc2 also, as well as the little bathtubs the rally cross cars are fun to drive
Would be nice if you had an outside view of the car for a bit. If I can't remember the name, at least I can recognise it. Other than that, nice video.
Imola + Ferrari F355 Challenge is one of my best combination ✔
Strange to hear the 720S on the disappointing cars, that was one of my favorite cars to drive since buying this game. P1 gtr great car
Hey Mike, if you play this game long enough consistently, to be so-called "being dialed in" to how the game behaves. Then I am curious how that will compare, once you play either R3E & AMS again in the future....................... and how those games feel now, put up against PC2 (hey there might be a video in that, Mike?) In VR most are pretty good.....love the Chevy Blackhawks excellent handling
GT3 RS on Nordschleife is my favorite car/track combination. with some rain toward the end to make it interesting.
The KTM -XBow in made me rage quit in AC, but is much better for my driving style in PC2 and actually felt fun to drive.
Infinite Loop thanks man! I’ll definitely give the 620 a shot. I like it in AMS2
The McF1 GTR LT and BAC Mono are my two favourites (so far). For the BAC, I like it even more on the OEM setup then summer tyres (even though it's obviously slower), makes it so tolerant to chucking around (like the KTM).
Have you tried the Sierra Cosworth, I really struggle to drive it would like to hear your thoughts
Remember it's a turbo, with shocking turbo lag; warm up the tyres, and short shift to avoid chirpies out of slow corners.
Argh I can only imagine what the later Sierras with 500hp+ were like to drive, if it is this bad with the turbo lag and "only" 400hp!
Are the stable and loose setups presets only for PC? I'm on PS4 and can't find that option
leomessiful The presets are coming in a patch for consoles.
If you want the car to stop jittering when changing gears, turn off automatic clutch when using a car with Sequential gears
Dunno.
Disable the SC and the TC and load the OEM setup in the 720S and it's the best car in the game. Just a joy to drive it, you feel everything.
that nirvana tune rock's
The xj220s was a decent drive felt really good when i had a go yesterday. V8 supercar was nice too.
It's funny about the Mclaren because the 650S was easily the single best handling and feeling roadcar in the first one. It was one of the few cars you could actually manhandle and hold slides with in that game.
Burt Sampson The 650S wasn't even in the first game.
You're right, I meant the 12c.
Thanks. Because some cars in this game has some wicked physics.
you have to try the Audi 90 Quattro imsa gto its really much fun
The understeer is strong with this car
Porsche 911 GT 3 on oulton with jack spade is by far my favorite
Good video. You have a new subscriber!!
Did you try the OEM setup on the 720s and 6C?
You need to get braver on your corners. Good track knowledge. Don't be afraid to hook the cars in more also lower your brake pressure. All great cars by the way.
Nice car list and great video
It sounds like youre locking tires under braking quite often. Kinda weird cuz its also happening in cars that have abs...

This video made me like the game even more. Thank you
I showed this to a friend and he agreed with most cars and his favourite is Ford Gt E and mine is a Mercedes AMG
What track was you driving the RXC on?
The Porsche Cayman GT4 stuck out to me. I have many more to explore.
You should have shown the Cars from all camera views.
No GT1 or Group C ? I'm kind of disappointed :/ I respect it but still disappointed.
I would've thought the GT1 Diablo would be included. I love that one!
Idk how much of a difference this makes cause I don't have PC2 yet, but in PC1 if you had cold tires all cars handled like shit and the lambo and 720s both have very cold tires when you were doing laps so any footage or can someone confirm if the handling is still terrible even after heating the tires up.
I like the old Camaro! Sounds amazing!
Yes! Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 '69 TransAm. Not the fastest but very enjoyable car to drive.
How can you drive with this much zoomed in and even more when braking??
Adjusting FOV
i love the audi s1 quatro
What track are you driving the BAC MONO at?
Kris Avedisian its the red Bull ring, Austria
The Aston Martin Vulcan is awesome!
coolermaster1979 sounds amazing
Yeah absolute. But the GT3 Aston ist one of the worst. Sadly my favorite Car has become so bad. :-(
The caterham is my favourite!
I HATE the understeering in this game when going fast on corners
sesto elemento is quite good, just turn off Stability, traction and turn down ABS to low. Stability and traction control are too invaisve, so no wonder you don't feel the car. The McLaren is Meh.
Try the Caterham and the Ginetta GT4!

The BAC mono doesn't make the list. That car oversteers so much without a setup
When you scrub through the video every car somehow sounds the same lol
IS THAT THE REDBULL RING!??!!???!
FYI The Mclaren feels lifeless in REAL life too! So the game is dead on lol
How can u judge a car with cold tires anyways, ur better than that
i cant get triple screens to work for the life of me..
Try disabling Surround if using Nvidia and then run PC2 on one screen. Then try enabling Surround again. Also you will need to increase the resolution in PC2 and enable triple screens. I had a problem with PC2 and triple screens too.
What I want to see is the Lexus RC gt3 race car in this game
please learn how to brake it`s actually giving me a headache how you lock up your tires every corner.
55marpo why wouldn’t you just not watch?
Why do you care so much? It's not about the background game play, it's about the information that is being given.
My favourite: Porsche 911 GT3
The 720s was developed with the McLaren test driver, he said the car in game is very close to driving the real thing, so your opinion is very poor, I love the car, many people do, I feel this is a unicorn car, much better than many others. You also are not a great driver either...
F50 GT and Toyota GT-One
i enjoy with my accuforce bmw gt3 z4
Also the c63 amg doesnt feel good
The M3 GT4 is ass too. It feels like it has wooden tires
If you're going to show driving, at least show some that is somewhat competent.
bruh
Worst racing game ever made and I thought number 1 was bad I got a refund right away and ive never asked for a refund and you know what they had no problem giving it to me they said alot of people are asking for refunds on this game if 6ou dont have a pc or a wheel do not get this game if yoy cant play it in 4k or hdr dont get because it looks like a 12 year old made it
Michael Ward anything else?
Cool story bro.
Michael Ward Seems like someone didn't do any research before buying. This is not exactly a game you can get 100% out of with a controller.
Wund3rB4um I play with controller and I tweaked the settings and I love this game!

The shifting of the X-Bow is awesome
caterham 7 didn't make it on the list? The 7 is my favorite in pc2 and also the ferrari 288 :)
My favorite: Ligier Judd LMP2
I can't ;put my finger on it but I fell in love with the Lotus 49. It's a butt load of power on such a light chassis. And so old school. Also the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 . edit2: Also if you're struggling with braking set your pressure to 50%. Any higher on my Clubsport V1's the cars just lock at the slightest touch.
There's a Lotus, I think it's called 98T or similar. 1986 F1 car, 1300BHP, handles like a dream and if you open up the turbo to 100% it's mental = epic.
Try the audi - no. 7 in your list on Spa
Go win !
Also - try the BMW M1 Coupe at Oulton Park Track as well as Nordschleife.
M1 coupe is a good car although sound seems off, sounds more like a Porsche flat 6 than a boosted bmw straight 6. pcars2 should have the e46 and e92 m3 road cars as well, big omission.
A couple of road cars that I had to drive more than once. Porsche GT3RS (road) at COTA. Jaguar F-Type RSV at Brno.
Sorry, way too long, but good video nevertheless, I enjoyed your Evo part ;) (owned an Evo 6 and drove an evo 8 for some time and had the same feeling ingame)
Keep going!
GRunner28 thanks for the feedback. You share an opinion with many other commenters. I'll probably be revisiting the 720S and Sesto Elemento soon for another drive.
I really liked the 720! Felt it had more soul than almost any car. Weird maybe?
Brandon Campbell thats a lot of camber at the back, got 1.7 in AC. Might try yours as I im struggling to go 1:57 consistently at the nurburgring.
not sure how well it would do on just the GP, mine is meant for top end while having just enough downforce to take those nordschleife high speed turns without sliding out
I have been absolutely loving the Mercedes 300 SEL 6.8. Animal of a car. Thought I would hate it, so kind of a double whammy that I love it.
I cant stand the McLaren P1
any off the Gt class Porsche,s... love em!
i wish they would have added the porsche 911rsr in the gte cars.. :/
The BMW of the TC class is amazing. Smooth handling and a kinda loose tail.
The Corvette C7R just perfectly matches my driving style, I know there are faster GTE and GT3 class cars but I love how its pretty stable but with just a hint of wildness through the turns. Don't know how you like that KTM thing though, the understeer on it is horrible.
love the ford. the black skin is just perfect.
The Lotus 25 is so much fun, even on cold tyres you can make that baby DANCE!
The lotus 49 is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!
Pics of the cars could have helped . . .
My favourite is formula Renault
What is the deal with all the ridiculous head movement in this video? I haven't really noticed it in other PC2 videos. Its like the seat rail is broken and the seat is free to move forward/back with G-forces. I don't know how you can drive like that with all the exaggerated movement.
Considering the driving shown here I am not sure how you're talking about exceeding the cars' limitations and pushing too hard. Physics are hard to judge/compare when one is nowhere near the actual limit.
Fav is the Ferrari 488 gt3
Strange that you would give a video representation of the cars handling without even bothering to heat up the tires, thus breaks or anything.
I like the GT1 Class, so far i tested it, but specially the Panoz Esperante GT1.
Is there any way to reverse the zoom in/out effect? It seems counterintuitive to have the camera zoom in at low speeds when you want to see a tight apex, then zoom out when you want to see long distance reference points at 200kph.
The Ferrari 488 GT3 and Toyota GT-ONE '99 are both great fun on PC2. Your BAC Mono suggestion sounds cool - will give that a go. Cheers.
