It’s not a car company, it’s the innovation machine of the century. Cars, software systems, self driving, semiconductors, AI tech, control systems, firmwares, audio, seats, batteries, motors, superchargers, energy storage, manufacturing OS…Tesla brings the most important stuff in-house and does it better than any one else.
Agreed.
calm down.

As a model Y owner I appreciate all the work put in…the car sounds absolutely amazing and rivals any factory system in the world today.
Heavily debatable
As a Tesla owner, that’s horseshit. Tesla speakers are great but they get blown out of the water by anything in the super luxury sector (i7, iX, EQS)
u have an older Model without the extra Sound ccapabilities?
@@VibesInMotion
@@nilswalcher8338 No, he just owns a Tesla that has the same speakers as a Chevy Spark, like every Tesla does, because Teslas aren't luxury cars. They're just overglorified Priuses.
Yes, that's kinda the thing. They are not supposed to be luxury cars lol. Can't speak about the sound system, never been in one. @@Deadsphere
Nice Spinal Tap reference at the end! Goes to 11! Love the sound in my M3LR!
On S/X it shows a volume number and it goes up to 11.
It is indeed a Spinal Tap reference... Volume and fan speed both go to 11 🙂

Even the ones that engineered the poison governments forced you to inject into your body? What about the ones that made leaded gasoline that permanently poisoned the environment and everyone in it?
Except for LEGACY auto ICE Engineers.
Thanks Bro

This video is an 11/10.
I enjoy the system in my Model Y. It’s a step above the systems I have had in BMW, Audi, Ford, etc. It helps to not have any engine drone noise to disrupt the listening environment.
i was in a model y the other day and it sounded really poor. Do you have premium adio option?
@@rivalrepairs I agree with the OP with the sound system being pretty good. They list the "premium audio" as standard I believe.

Yea tbh Tesla sound system is so banging like it’s the best honestly this teams did a great great job
When I got my Model S years ago and was exploring it, I LOL'd when I saw that the volume meter on it goes up to 11.
It's so refreshing that you guys are mission driven and not profit driven. Legacy auto which exists solely for the profit of it's shareholders sacrifices everything to accomplish this end. Keep being you and you will take over the world.
I only have a SR+ Model 3 so don’t have the subwoofer, and I’m even impressed with the sound on that. Can’t imagine how good it must be with the subwoofer too!
That’s a lie, the SR+ Model 3 system sucks
The stock sub is barely satisfactory. I installed my own subwoofer which is WAY better
The responses here show that tastes differ. An 'audiophile' ranks differently than a music enthusiast and then again vs the average Joe. Don't know about the SR+ system, but the upgraded system, sub 'n all, is very good. Doesn't mean you can't get even better, clearly. But for a stock audio system in a car that isn't really expensive, it does rock.
If you have an SR+ and not a RWD, you can get a Hanshow kit to enable some disabled speakers in the car. It will still be missing the sub though.@@AyushK
I think door speakers really need a long throw! to get satisfactory level, and I think teslas only have like 2-3mm per way on door speakers,
With even 125hz crossover Im going over 6mm excursion on my dayton audio's , on purifi speakers I could tune it to as low as 80hz to get to the same level with 10mm excursion but subwoofer completely disappeared with 80hz crossover!! Next one is I think illuminator which has 16mm excursion before mechanical damage! Many speaker companies really need to make motor and suspension much more stronger lol, it doesnt really sacrifice anything other than high end response and lil bit of power and space. Look at anarchy woofer, no excuses for high long throw performance cheaply..
The premium audio stuff in my 2013 model S P85 sounds INSANE!
Thx Tesla❤️⚡

If I'm hands free phoning someone in the car now, they can hear my voice perfectly clear. Wasn't always that way, but they've pushed a software update recently that brought drastic improvements!
I find myself listening to music far more often in my Model Y than any car I've owned in the past. It truly sounds amazing.

I Love Love TEsla !
Great Work Guys
Tesla absolutely has the best sounding system
Every little detail in the car is engineered, it is not inherited from a legacy design, a legacy manufacturing method, or a 3rd party supplier. Same goes for the testing facilities, telemetry rigs / dummies... Everything is built for purpose, from the ground-up, in-house by a bunch of hardcore DIYers with some great equipment (funding).
You can feel the LOVE in every corner of TESLA Products
Sincerely, the best sounding speakers I've ever tried.
honestly, the sound is one of the first things I show people when they want to see my M3
I can't wait to hear the sound system
Keep up the great work, folks. The sound system is amazing.
More videos like this also being played in service centers and before major keynotes like AI-Day, Investor day, battery day, etc.
Sometimes you guys have 1hr or more of music playing on a blank screen. These are missed opportunities to educate everyone on the amazing work you guys do.

It's crazy how much work goes into immersive sound, we enjoy! 🔊 to the level 11😁 I always watch movies or movie trailers in Tesla to have theatre feeling
I love TESLA's audio quality so much ❤
I am impressed by the levels that they are doing in house to make the audio experience a good one.

Thank you Tesla team for your work!
Le son des Tesla est vraiment magnifique ! (Test sur model 3 - 2023)

I wish there was a upgrade for a model 3 sr+
I absolutely love my Soundsystem in my model three absolutely blew my mind the first time I got to hear it.
I wish there were more HiFi options to play in the system. Tidal is the only one that seems to offer HiFi and the experience is so dramatically better than using Bluetooth.
It's a shame people aren't given the opportunity to try some HiFi right after purchasing their vehicle. The audio system is truly astounding.
Not needed, much more of difference is to make some peek in the response 0.5db quieter than to use these "HiFi" gimmicks
@@lukabosnjak3829 HiFi is far from a gimmick. If you play the same song back to back using Tidal vs Spotify bluetooth, there is a clear difference. HiFi is fuller because it manages to send more info to the system as to how each note should sound.
It's hard to describe the difference that exists because it just sounds fuller. If you ran a blind audio test with some friends or have them run it on you, you will see the difference. Maybe not huge for casual listeners, but big for people that care about audio fidelity.
Absolutely. All the people not using wifi-downloaded Tidal HiFi or USB music don't know what they're missing
Yeah I ain’t playin MP3 formats 💀💀
@@bigbao9843 missing out! Flac even better
Even in the 2017 model, the sound is realy good !
This is simply the best!!!
The sound quality enthusiasts I know sometimes go into their Tesla just to listen music loudly. It's amazing at least on 2022 models.
I second this
I do this all the time!
We got a '22 MY a few months ago, and the sound is indeed very good, but in ours there's a bit of resonance kicking in at certain low frequencies. Our neighbour who also has a '22 MY has been installing sound dampening mats in his, and swears he hears a big improvement. For now, our '16 MS is better at handling the deep frequencies at volume, but I think the MY would have an edge otherwise.
@@koma-k I haven't noticed such issues but then again my hours with Y are fairly low. But this reminds me of an old problem I had with BMW steering. At max steering it had some unhealthy sounds until I discovered an assumed female nut under spare wheel 😂
I have a Model 3 Performance and it sounds amazing! Crazy to think that we've got that kind of a thing in 50-60k car and it's included, we don't have to pay for any audio package or upgrade
Their sound delivers!!! Very impressive.
Awesome! I love this company. They do things the right way and the products are second to none!

Man i love how tesla does all the in house development! Looking at the software side and how they are able to integrate everything and test everything so “simple" by talking with each other instead of having to go through a third party is a massive benefit 😁 like having tests software in car showing on the display lol
The sound quality in my 2022 model 3 is so good that when I listen to 80's music it sounds different from what I remember hearing in the 80's. The same music sounds much better than I ever heard it before. Blows my mind.
@Tesla: These clips are great! Keep 'em coming. No other car maker can show off their prowess in so many related fields of expertise.
Love seeing these videos. As an audio designer in games it's fascinating to see what goes in to modern vehicles.
I got my MY some weeks ago (had a M3 before, and different cars of VAG / BMW Group before this one) and I am impressed every day I listen to music in this car. Although I always had a good sound system in my car, the sound in my MY is next level. So it is not just a commercial clip - this is 100% true what you are presenting us here.
Thanks so much for the upgrade a month ago allowing all channels of 5.1 flac/mp4 been played. But unfortunately, the surround sound is downmixed to stereo before send out to all speakers.
Hope an upgrade soon will allow discrete playback (in Audio Settings) of the separate channels of surround mixes! 29 artists kindly offers free 5.1 listening of one track or more from their albums on surroundmusic.1 - Over 100 free tracks there that could be played in Tesla’s
All they need to do is support Dolby Atmos. Apple Music already does it beautifully. The car can do it, if Tesla makes it happen.
I would love more control over the DSP settings too!
@@hotconductor4749 - That would help. But us who want to listen to music in high resolution, in a more sustainable way (also for the artists) would love to play 5.1 FLAC from USB storage! - 96kHz 24 bit stereo flac already sounds SO good! If we could choose a discrete surround mode it would be fantastic!!:)
@@hotconductor4749 Dolby Atmos is good for movies but is irrelevant crap for music reproduction. Read and watch recording engineers trash it.
@@skierpage engineer reporting for duty. I have a very ethical 2 channel system for listening to music. I also have an Atmos setup which is a lot of fun for movies. Occasionally I play music on it and it's a blast. Atmos is the standard for music now and it's a blast to go back and listen to stuff you know with the new mixes. Pink Floyd, Queen, etc etc everything is getting remixed in it. Live albums are immersive.
Bottom line, I'll never not have a 2 channel system for personal listening. I'd love to have Atmos in my Tesla! It will likely be the main place I listen to Atmos mixes.
11/10 for the sound system with the subwoofer! Is loud !
Finally!
Some info on their sound system.

I am not a tesla fanboy but they hired some of the BEST in the car sound business to make the speakers on the Tesla great and didn't charge people more for it. I have alot of respect to those audio engineers.
As a self-employed mixing engineer I love my Tesla. It’s fun to listen to work, and use the system as a tool for improving my mixes.

Audio to 11 is OG Tesla. I thought that was taken away. Bring it back, Spinal Tap!
It's always been there on S/X. 3/Y don't show the number but S/X still do in the instrument cluster.
It’s the best SOUNDING audio system in a car made today.
Really good stuff!
The level of detail they go to is amazing ❤
I upgraded my subwoofer, front and door speakers and I was stunned by the sound that came out of them. The upgrade was subtle, but ever since I had my 3, then Y, it's probably one of the best OEM sound system out there.
as a tesla owner, i can confirm that the sound is superb!
I really like the sound in my Model Y - especially if you feed it with FLAC-coded music instead of mp3,
The acoustics rock. I bought a Model 3 after test driving a number of vehicles over 2-3 months, and this was a big selling point for me personally.
As a model Y owner, thanks for the sub. It is incredible, even when maxed. No shaking, just deep bass. Similar to the Sonos sub gen 3. Thank you :)
Top .... Brasil 🇧🇷
A true testimony to the sound quality is when Paul McGowan of PS Audio calls the sound in his Tesla very good.
It would be so cool if Tesla was able to turn the entire cabin into an active noise cancelling area using the cabin speakers. Sitting down in your Tesla would be like putting on a pair of noise cancelling headphones, but better. It would be an unparalleled quiet ride. The ANC would need to allow certain sounds through, such as sirens, horn honks, etc.
I'm sure this must be challenging or we'd see other luxury car brands doing it, but it just seems like such a Tesla thing to do.
I believe the Genesis GV80 has this.
ua-cam.com/video/p_p_1_lJUjQ/v-deo.html
Stereo is my NO.1 factor for choosing an auto
In the Model Y, the sound is great and the bass is powerful. The only "problem" with it is that most of the sounds feel like they are coming from the front of the car.
I don’t know about the MY but on my ‘20 MS I can use the crosshairs to indicated where I want the sound to centralize, even into the rear seats.
oh my, this is just what new teslas need. I won't lie I'm happy with my M3's system but there was always room for improvement :D
You need to increase the bitrate of the Spotify player! Otherwise you can not really utilize this audio system, which was designed with so much effort :)
They don't want to spend more on data
How can I do that ?
use your hotspot or wifi, might help increase the bitrate. Otherwise have the good ol' USB stick with flac or 192Kbit MP3
