    Thanks for sharing. Me being african american I grew up on Laotian food. Its my most favorite cuisine in the world. My best friend mom was an amazing cook. She loved cooking for me.. I'll be looking forward to making your dishes thank you. And mostly thank your mom for showing you how to cook.

    Nana I just finished making the sai oua and it is DELICIOUS!! My husband is still licking his fingers. I made a Som Tum like dipping sauce and it paired lovely. Thanks for all your teaching.

    Good job.... I am from Laos too living in Australia.... and my older sister lives in USA... I love all the food you have shown on your You Tube.... yet to try out your recipe.... It seems like you have more Asian herbs available in USA then Australia...

    georgesiriyanonh, I usually broil on low for about 1 hour, instead of bake. If I bake, I set it to 350 degrees for about 1 and a half hour. Your oven might be a little different. I also put a little bit of water in the tray under the sausage when baking or broiling.

    Thanks for the video, last time I made lao sausage I didnt use enough fat and also used the thick pork bung for casing instead of the dehydrated thin casing, and it was not as good as it could have Been. I like all yr cooking videos, very informative, thank you!

      California Geisha I like to make a lot and save in the freezer so I don’t have to do it too often. For people trying for the first time maybe do a small batch to try first.

      Souli Phaduangdet I usually cook it at around 350 degrees for around 45 minutes to one hour.

    I got the casings from a local meat store. I'm not sure which chain stores have them. If they sell a lot of meat they should have it.

    allstar904, yes, I bought the fat separately. Some places sell it with the skin, and some sell only the fat.

    Yes, you can use ground pork. Make sure the ground pork has fat, or the sausage will be too dry.

      You have use tooth picks or forks to pokes holes in the sausages before cooking

      ***** I can't remember. I think it took me about 1-2 hours to stuff all those sausages. When I make it, I make a lot so I don't have to do too often.

    How long do you fry the sausage in the pan?

      10 to 15 minutes, but you would have to make sure that they are golden brown. You don't want to burn them.
