Foodlovers, thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, I will try to make my future videos short as possible. It was tough cutting this one down even to 16 minutes. Lol. :)

hoi Nana, tried out your recipes a couple days ago...not bad for a first timer. thanks to you. and for those with times on their hands, i'll leave the slow watching of video tutorials to them. thanks again!
Jet, I have never tried using firm tofu for this dish. To be honest, I don't have a lot of experience cooking with tofu as substitute for meat. I think it will turn out fine, but I really have no idea. Please let me know how it turns out if you do try it with tofu.
Julia A2LA Regular sweet basil doesn't work well for me. It's very different taste from lemon basil. You can use fill instead if you don't have lemon basil.
ibukdezz1031, thanks for the feedback. I do agree with some people that say I need to shorten some of my videos, but it takes a lot of time and I don't want to cut out too much. :)

Sis I am curious since its a chicken is a hen don't you have to wait until the chicken is soft than we can add all the veg, and how long do I have to wait until the chicken (HEN) is soft until I can put all the veg and seasoning?
The turkey berries (mak kaeng) add a touch of bitter taste, but you only taste it when you bite into it. Some people don't like it. If you can't find it, you can leave it out and just increase the amount of other veggies.
Thanks, Annie. When I started doing the videos, I thought people might want to follow along as I cook. Then there are people who want to watch quickly and go do it. Maybe we'll have something in between. Lol.

yes, cook the hen until it gets soft. In the video I cooked it for about 15 minutes. You can pinch the hen to see if it's soft enough for you.
there are some additional on-screen notes that may be blocked by ads. you can close the ads to see the notes.
+Cooking with Nana thank you sis by the way I wanted to thank you show me how to cook better than ever
No Nana please do not shorten the videos, it's very helpful with slow people like myself, and if it's too long tell them to fast forward..

TheAz1atic Yes, you can put any or all the herbs and spices and variety of mushrooms and variety of vegetables.
Can you make beef stew like lao style ? ( La Gu )
The turkey berries (mak kaeng) add a touch of bitter taste, but you only taste it when you bite into it. Some people don't like it. If you can't find it, you can leave it out and just increase the amount of other veggies.
