Lost 12 pounds to make 154 pounds and did the water loading technique tapered up to roughly a gallon of water (didn't measure accurately just downed a cup of water whenever I had time at work). Then cut water off hard the day before weigh ins. Definitely would need to change my diet around to make the cut easier. Felt awful that last few pounds.
Yea you’ve got a get a gallon from the store to track it. Guessing doesn’t work. You probably came up short in water loading.

Sometimes it’s nothing depending on how close I am but definitely no carbs. Anything that retains water screws you. Stick to lean protein

I have to fight in 3 days do you think I can water load for 2-3 then sip and still make weight? I have to cut to 178 and I’m 182 right now
For that small amount in that time period I’d just be cautious with salts the next 3 days and take a hot bath and sauna before weigh ins. Usually sauna and a hot bath will get 5 lbs pretty easy. It’s not enough time to load water.
Would you do this the same way if the weigh ins are on friday evening and not in the morning?
Would you then consider to drink a bit more on thursday?
No food or water Friday until weigh ins and you should be good. I may have a cup of coffee without cream in the morning and it’ll go through you.
