      @@spicemonger466 so, because you didn't lose the water he did, he's a liar? Look, everyone has a different water loss depending on your body weight, and body composition. I am in a wheelchair and I'm overweight. I was weighed at a medical doctor's office before I started my 7 day water fast, weighing in at 264, 7 days later at the same office, on a calibrated medical scale, I weighed in at 236. So, am I a liar too, since I lost more in 7 days than you lost in your 13 day water fast? What did you weigh before you did your water fast.

    Read up on this a few days ago and was skeptical becuase i typically drink a lot of water in a day, i run for anywhere from 25min to an hour depending how I feel, and my diet isn't super cut but i keep it healthy. Its cool to see an experienced athlete do it; gives me a lot more faith in trying it.

      that would depend on you and how much you're cutting a day. Play around with it by getting smaller portions. Keep a food log, that's where you can find out the exact details on how your body is responding.
      Just like to add that Fish would be a good lean protein. My focus is bjj. I weigh 140-145 and fight 127lbs-145.lbs or 125lbs mma. Just from experience with the pros on my teams. I gave it this video a thumbs up because sounds good to me. I don't suffer too bad because I plan months ahead so most my weight was cut through training then diet. few times I had to watch my water weight but always right on the perfect number before matches.

    Gotta work your way up to this kind of deprevation, though! I'm also a big guy so when prepping for tournament, I used to gradually go down to 1 meal per day. Most importantly, I didn't overdo it and drank plenty of water. Seemed to be the right formula for me. I don't think I'd try to cut weight as quickly as Shintaro though. Like I said I'm big and tall so I'd be afraid to lose too much muscle. But it's different for everybody. Some tall guys are thin and lanky so they can compete comfortably at low weight. I've always been bulky and the one time I went below 215 I felt weak. Like I said, it's different for everybody but water seems to be the linchpin.

    Just a warning ... You are right lots of water is good but be careful drinking too much water, make sure you can go to the restroom frequently. Lady drank 7 liters for contest died and holding it. She died. Drink water but in a fashion where you are not forcing it but drink through out the day. They say 8-10 glasses a day. Your body should let you know by the way you feel. My sister drank to much water and it washed her electrolytes out too much it can be very harmful. She had to go to the hospital. Lots of fruits and veggies and water as much as it feels like your body needs. Coffee dehydrates you because it is a diretic it makes you go potty more. So you will feel thirstier. Just make sure you are drinking water throughout the day ... Not a whole bunch of water all at once. I love water. In fact I feel like drinking some now. 🌵🌞
    Also try to get ph balanced water adding lemon helps to make ph and it helps your liver kidneys especially in the morning on an empty stomach. Alot of waters are acidic acidity causes cancer. Flouride is toxic too.

    a lot of people I knew did this to "Make Weight" for wrestling. They would power down on water six days out of a match, and about two days before the match, they would only take small sips, and stay in the sauna for almost four hours those two days. They would be in the sauna on weigh-in day up until the minute it was time to go in and weigh.
    Right after they jumped off the scale, they would drink almost a liter of water, and power down on complex carbs like peanut butter and bananas.

      CalicoCat1973 I drink 1 gallon of distilled water a day if you consider the coffee I make at home and the decaf tea at night...plus the water I consume daily. It's not hard to do. Stop drinking soda and drink purified water instead. Work into it, a day at a time. You can do it. 🙂

    I've heard of this method. Love your articulation, very handsome. My mom has cauliflower ear from a fever that almost killed her. How'd you get yours? Not sure why competing would lead to that.

      There ears eventually get blown out from getting hit

    • @DejanB83
      @DejanB83 6 років тому

      It's from getting mashed into the mat.

    • @JB-zo7ln
      @JB-zo7ln 6 років тому +2

      The cartilage in the ears gets blown out from constant head into ear ties and pounding on the mat, etc. They then swell and look deformed and there is no going back from the deformity unless you have it drained out or have plastic surgery done on it. Have you never seen college or olympic or international wrestling? Every single competitor at that level regardless if they wore headgear or not has very bad cauliflower ear. Not sure how your grandma got actual cauliflower ear unless she was competing in some underground fight club or did some combat sports you didnt know about. The average person especially a woman doesnt wind up with cauliflower ear. It can only be attained through constant serious pounding to the ear from sports like wrestling (folkstyle, freestyle, greco roman), jiu jitsu, judo, mma.

      You can definitely cut calories before too. You almost have to for this to work.

    That would be a 70,000 calorie deficit. Or 12,000 calories a day for five days. So basically, just nope.
