I was introduced to your channel by my good friend, Brooke from ReCreationsbyBrooke here on YT and I'm so glad she did. Gasp! No book pages?! Lol. I didn’t have any tear-apart ones either, until I started making junk journals. My suggestion, to start, is look at a variety of dictionaries. Different languages, fonts, colors, text sizes. The paper is generally thin and you get a lot of value for your money. Happy thrift store shopping!

You have so many beautiful projects, I would go cuckoo if we ever were to craft together! Loved the pocket and I have a tip for you that might help with the glue sticks. The trick to stop having the paper from falling off is to make sure you cover completely the whole area to be glued. Its not about the amount of glue, its about how you spread it. If you leave any part without glue, those air pockets will eventually lift the whole thing. Make sure also you go to the very edge of the paper. Depending on the size of the paper, you might want to go over it all a second time before it dries out. Once glued, use a credit card type tool to scrap the glued area. That's it and it works. 😊

This is great! So much fun to make. Wow, this is episode 20 I have some catching up to do. Love your challenges. I am in the CWPlanner with MM and the 52tagshannmade too! That is a beautiful cover. Oh getting books for children a teacher's true calling. I hope you can get the tax thing figured out. Maybe a tax person could help. I have been giving my card/journal money to a cat rescue. This poor lady is all on her own using her own money to rescue ferule cats, have them neutered on what money she makes a part-time job. I only made $600 last year so in Wisconsin, you can earn so much that doesn't have to be claimed.
And yes teaching first grade was exhausting! At the end of the first day, the other 1st-grade teacher and I would meet in the hall and try to talk but all that would come out of our mouth was babble. We would laugh so hard. It would happen the first day every year. There is a lot I miss about teaching. That is why I do my channel. I kind of feel like I am teaching when I show how I am making something. Some insights on your question. You can earn up to $599.99 and call it a hobby and pay no taxes on that $599.99. And remember that's profit, after your costs. To be a non-profit you need to file lots of forms and may need a lawyer to help you, though with enough research you can do it yourself. And yes, you can have a non-profit that sells stuff - think Salvation Army. But you have to be an official not for profit. The simplest is to keep your profit under $599.99. By the way, if you are married, our husband can have a hobby too.

Just to hopefully help you a bit with the selling of your things, I’d love to talk with you about some of the details I learned when we took in a puppy with a cleft palette and she needed many surgeries that we couldn’t afford. We had to ask for help and I ended up going with PayPal and it worked really well. I’d love to share anything I can with you. I for sure don’t have all the answers. But if you want to email me at love-u-more@comcast.net or if you wanted to find me on Facebook. My profile pic is a tiny white puppy and my name is Jamie Parks

Checked Seth Apter's shop and the beeswax embossing powder is being sold in 120gm bag for $38!!!!! Nice look but ridiculous price.

That is crazy! I bought some a few weeks ago and it was less than $10. I love it, but I wouldn’t pay $38 either. Hmmmm. Maybe 120gm is a lot of powder? I’m looking at my bag and it says 17g. Maybe that 120gm size can be divided up into smaller bags for resale?

@@CoriDahmen I did the math and 17gms into 120 would be 7 so technically it could cost $70 to buy 120mgs in the smaller size. I understand that people go thru the stuff like mad...the reason for the larger bags. At this point, I think I can live without it! However if someone gave me a bag, oh what joy that would be!! LOL

Second thought. . . I think Amazon has a registry element. You could show the books, and the number you need, and when the number is reached, that book is no longer on the registry, and the next book takes it place. This might be so easy. Diane

What a great idea! I buy as much as possible through Scholastic, simply because the prices are lower, but not all books are available through Scholastic. I'll give that a try!
