Thank you so much Cori, I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and awesome pocket/writing thing’s. I really really love ❤️ how you take us through it all step by step, and that way it makes it really really easy to understand and eventually to create too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Great tip using the ruler. I love this series. You give such great directions. I do like it when you show decorated pieces too. Thank you so much for sharing these videos.
I love all the gluey tools. My things are the same way. That’s why I love doing junk journals because nothing has to be perfect. Thanks for sharing. I’m making some of this tomorrow.
Hi Cori! I just want to add my voice to the loud chorus of praise for your amazing and clever ideas. I’m a little behind, but I’ll watch them all. Thanks so much for sharing with us, dear! One thing I’ve learned from you is to decorate my samples; so often I’ll cut and fold a quick sample of something from white copy paper, but when I pick it up days or weeks later, I lack the imagination to make another, more appealing one to use in a journal. Another thing I love is your idea to cut the die cut flowers twice and piece together the different papers; fantastic! And finally, I’ve joined a swap group on FB, and I love it! I’ll go check out the digis you showed us. 😃 Thanks again for all you do!
Yeah! I’m sorry for the delayed response. I saw your post when I got the notification of another. Swap groups can be a lot of fun and I’ve met some incredible, wonderful people through them. I generally don’t intend to decorate my samples, but find that they look naked and sometimes uninspiring if I don’t give them a little something. I’m happy to hear that you’re enjoying the videos 💕
You are welcome! Some mentioned that seeing the items decorated helps them determine if they would work for their own projects, so I'll try and include that when possible.
Hi Cori, I want to thank you so much for this series! I am so excited to have finished sewing my idea journal last night and I'm ready to start filling it! I didn't use doilies, just fabric, and a sheet of bubble wrap packaging between the layers for that wonderful crinkle. When I'm through this series I'm going to watch your previous one about scraps.
Congratulations Patti! One of the things I like most about the cover is that it can easily be made with what YOU have. No need to purchase specific items. Happy to hear you’re enjoying it 😊
Thank you, Cori. I really appreciate all of the time and effort that you give to your crafting and to us! Your attention to detail truly makes your projects outstanding. The one part of why you share it all with us that you did not and probably wouldn’t mention is that you do it from the kindness of your heart. You are one of the sharing, kind folk who contribute to our world in so many positive and thoughtful ways! Our lives are enriched by you having touched us through your videos. 😍💞
Thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful, inspiring tutorials and for keeping them brief and to the point. I was able to watch, follow along and actually make three of your projects within an hour. Off to binge on more of them!
Cori, Fiskars has an eyelet setting tool that makes the hole too it has 3 sizes, it’s very neat! Wish I had found it before I bought The cropodile one! Hugs. Maggie ❤️🤗🇨🇦❤️
Thanks so much, Cori! I have several videos to catch up on creating the pockets for my Cori idea book. I’m all a twitter about tomorrow’s video! Thanks so much for purchasing and using my new digital! I’m honored, my friend!! As always, the best ideas and great instructions! Love you, friend! ❤️
Love you more! I was thrilled to see it as I love being able to support you as you so kindly and graciously support so many. It's a wonderful set and I'm excited to use it.
Cori, I love all your videos, they are so informative and pleasant to follow! Those little finishing touches are what makes a project, and it helps us see how to use all those itty, bitty pieces in ephemera packs. Could you possibly do a demo on using the products (i.e. Glossy Accents, Nuvo Drops), to get the shiny effects? Thank you for sharing always!🥰🇨🇦
In my coolest tone (while wearing my moomoo) I sat in my chair at 5:30am and said “look at Cori going all OG on us breaking out the old Making Memories tools” 😃 I just pulled mine out this week and was thinking of getting rid of them but didn’t have the heart (I know some of the old crafters are thinking what’s “OG” ?… I know this because that is what I thought the first time I heard it. It means Original Gangster… like the old time mafia🤣 But now more commonly used to represent someone who is in the first group of people to do a certain thing) - I recently discovered your channel and subscribed, it’s really wonderful and helps my brainstorming to go smoother when I’m sitting and trying to design pages. Thanks so much for all the effort and time in putting these videos together.
This is another great project! I've been trying to watch all your videos, you've got such great ideas and tips, thank you so much for sharing with us all!
just an FYI, you can buy Seth embossing powders directly from Seth in New York or Emerald Creek Co. Such beautiful embossing powders. Great addition to your flowers. thanks as always for sharing.
Excellent! Thank you for letting me know! To date I've only used the vintage beeswax, but I'd love to try others that he has made. I'll go search Emerald Creek Co.
I don’t, but in the works is a die cut tutorial, based on viewer requests. I’ll show how I use the Seth Apter vintage beeswax on that video. Hopefully this weekend! Thank you for your kind comments.
Your little fast and all over the place for me, BUT I love your style and attention to detail. Soooo I’m a new subscriber!! Can’t wait to try these out!!
Welcome. I do speak quickly and share ideas and tips as they occur in the project being made. Maybe muting the sound and learning via the captions would better suit you.
Cori, I have learned so much from you and truly appreciate your imagination and creativity. I have a question about the cool paper clip loop that you used…how do you do that? Just like making a jewelry loop with round nose pliers? Many thanks, again!
Hello Heidi! Sure, I get them at Walmart, and they’re located (two different sizes) with all their other Velcro friends. They are about half the width of regular sticky back Velcro, so perfect fir our longing-to-be-flat(ish) hobby.
I’m sorry, I don’t know the name! I believe it’s the grungy wallpaper from Tracie Fox at Love Junk Journals. I just pulled it out of my file that contains digitalis and I’d already cut off the end/name pieces.
I looked for that pattern you are using in the video and I couldn’t find that one. Hmmmm Either I’m missing it or maybe it’s not on her Etsy listing any more. Thank you
I'm sorry, I did not keep the container. If you google or search for Seth Apter Vintage Beeswax embossing powder you should find an image, and hopefully some resources if you're interested in getting it.
Hi Kay! I met my group of three other, truly fabulous JJ friends on a swap organized through the Arty Maze FB group. Though they don't generally host swaps, it occasionally comes up. Sophie's Notes is a FB group that does host swaps and I met my friend Lisa by being paired in that group. I know there are other swap groups as well, but I've had excellent luck meeting incredible people through those two groups. I'd consider starting there!
Even if I often don't understand a word, I am very happy to watch you. I'm always excited and it's fun to imitate. One question, did you bind this book yourself? Kind regards, Tammi
Is there something I can do to help you understand? And yes, the binding is in another video, that shows how I created the doily cover. These pages are very simply sewn in with a machine.
@@CoriDahmen Thank you very much dear Cori, I had already discovered it yesterday 😉 Unfortunately, I couldn't switch on the German translation for some videos. But if I look closely I can see everything. Your videos are really great. Thank you very - please stay healthy!

Thank you Sheri. The decorated pieces just make me happy.
