Always great to educate about the importance of magnesium and all minerals. However, when discussing food sources high in magnesium, you mostly show plant sources. And yet, you’re refer to bone marrow injections in mice that improved inflammatory markers and also state that testing for magnesium levels can be inaccurate because most magnesium is stored in our muscle, bone and other tissues. So the same would be for animals correct? Therefore actually eating meat…muscle tissue…..and bone marrow broth will be the best source of magnesium and other minerals. When I became a carnivore, my heart palpitations stopped and muscle camps stopped as well as many other benefits. Also, dietary fiber has been shown to bind with minerals, particularly grain fiber. As we age, a lifetime of poor diet makes our intestinal health more and more unable to properly process food and provide the nutrients to be absorbed. Better diet, better gut health and nutrient absorption at any age!

My magnesium supplement (prescribed by a cardiologist after arrhythmia) is labelled on the package as magnesium lactate dihydrate. It doesn't appear on your list. In the 'ingredients' list, it's called 'magnesium ions.' So what is that?
I take a supplement that contains the "core minerals " for the body. It has Mg in 2 forms, Mg Citrate and Ascorbate, which is a form you didn't discuss. Any thoughts on this form? Thanks
The problem with recommendation of consuming plants like nuts, seeds, grains for magnesium is they contain high amounts of antinutrients which bind with minerals, including magnesium. If a mineral is bound to an antinutrient, humans can NOT access it. The binding is because the PLANT (as a seed aka nut aka grain) wants those nutrients for themselves, to grow into another plant instead of being nutrition for an animal.
