That’s amazing! I’ve been looking for a video describing the process and this did just that. The detail you went into was awesome and you have no idea how much I appreciate this!
I had the link for the old video and it no longer worked. Then I found that you reloaded it last month. Getting ready to put this conversion in my 1961 C10. Thanks for reloading. Great Video!
I did this seat swap following your video, everything works as you said and showed. The seats are narrower and I hugged the driver side when aligning to keep the steering wheel as centered as possible, although not perfect its good enough. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for ur video. I'm A big guy. I'm gonna do the same thing and Also for A little more clearance I'm gonna get a shorter steering column as well. That should be perfect room for me when I'm done
I have done that and they work for me because I am a small person but for anybody with a little height or a little bit of a gut they are way too big. Lol
Hey i just purchased front seats out of a 2016 Silverado and im wanting to put them in my 84 chevy i wasn't aware of putting the rear seats in it is that a big no or would it work just fine? Also is there a way a person could keep them electric in a square body? Also this is one of the best seat swap videos ive watched detailed and you make it look easy thanks for the video
Thank you, amazing info! How do the seat belts line up? I am in the middle of my seat swap and I need to replace my stock belts as they don't retract anymore and are now the wrong color. I see some good universal retro offerings from places like Jegs. I also see retro euro belts that have the red push button and look more the belts that would go with the newer seats. I really need to install some new belts with my 2015 seat swap!
Great job and very informative. I’m going to try and install some Chrysler 300S seats in my 76C10 and hopefully mine will come out as nice as yours. Any tips or advice for my build would be appreciated
Mine sits lower than the stock bench seat, you can adjust the permanent height of the seat bottom depending on where you decide to weld the seat rail mounts to the seat frame
Love the video! Looking to do this in a 65’ with a gas tank in the cab. Not sure if you have done this with a gas tank in the cab , but wondering if you think it would still fit ? Thanks
This looks awesome and I think I would try it but in the video it looks like there is a good size gap between the seat and the door. I know you said the seats were smaller than factory seat is but is that gap really noticeable? I don’t want to do all that work and be sitting on the edge of the seat just to be square with the steering wheel. Thanks for any feedback man good job
Id suggest marking your original bench seat with some masking tape, 1.5 inches off each side and that should give you a visual of where the seat will be in relation with the door panel, i dont notice it at all
No, just boxed in and welded the back of the seat frames together, makes it rigid enough, wouldnt be able to install the seat material and foam if you weld the front of the seat frames together
Looking at doing this. Is it actually comfortable being the back seat? And does it make it a little weird as it is more narrow as far as reaching for the door handle or window crank?
I flipping love this video! Thank you for putting it together. Question, the black plastic clips that you describe at approx 1:52sec. Is there a way you can re attach them to finish covering the brackets when finished?
The plastics cover the seat mounting brackets that get removed, you would have to cut the plastics and fab up some new slotted mounts for them to clip into
There is a 73-80 seat in my 87 and the seat back doesn’t go all the way to the back of the cab. Does this conversion touch or come close to touching the back of the cab at the top of the seat? I’m 6’6” so I need all the space I can get.
@phillipa7595 once you build that center bracket like he shows the seats won't fold anymore! They're bolted to that bracket from the factory so once you box it in they don't move! I did mine 2 weekends ago and I love it
At 2:15 in the video tells you what bracket to cut off, they are the seat mounting brackets that are not used, also have to trim some of the c10 slide rail brackets

Yea my son accidentally deleted the old video, so i had to upload it again
@@angelesautomotive Thanks for doing so. It is a fantastic video!

Glad it helped
How do you like it after sometime now with it installed? Does the bucket center with the wheel?
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for the detailed run down
Just picked up a crew cab seat from a 2010 Sierra for my k10 and happened to stumble across this video. Should help👍🏼
I'm currently following your instructions and welding it up tomorrow. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the video walk through. Seats look awesome!
Thanks!
Top quality video here, man
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks bro for this video . Putting my millermatic to use for my 73’

Great video.. thanks for the details and putting all the right info in.
AMAZING🔥
Thank you sir
Looks clean
I like to remove the head rest. It gives is a more stock appearance. I don't like seeing them in the back window. Nice video 👍
I agree
Is the seat rail aluminum or stainless? You think I can oxy acetylene weld it?
You should do the front high country seats in the c10
I have done that and they work for me because I am a small person but for anybody with a little height or a little bit of a gut they are way too big. Lol

Ive been wanting to install some from seats myself but havent had the chance to do it, im sure it can be done with some modifications
If I cut the top pieces at 1”, I get about a 3.5” opening on bottom

I ordered some tan seat belts from LMC Truck, used the stock locations. Ill have to make an updated video on seatbelts for it
With the newer seat being narrow, doest it still fall inline with the wheel? Or is the bucket off a bit?
Thanks for the info.
Great idea

Super helpful video!
I WANT THIS IN MY C1500
are they comfortable? like something you could drive for a couple hours ?
Question with the new seats is there any problems with the seat belt buckles?
Well done
Would you be interested in pre-modding a seat and selling [with some profit built in for yourself of course!] ?
Same process probably for 67-72 huh? Gonna do this soon
Well explained, good camera work. How much higher do you sit than stock bench? (at 6'8", I don't want to sit much higher in my '81)
Mine sits lower than the stock bench seat, you can adjust the permanent height of the seat bottom depending on where you decide to weld the seat rail mounts to the seat frame
@@angelesautomotive Thanks for the quick reply!

Awesome video. Seat look good. Does the seat being more narrow than the original one effect the steering wheel from being centered?
Nah not really, its just an inch and a half shorter on each side, im still centered behind the wheel
OK awesome, thanks.
You make these to sell? That's pretty awesome man
How much room is behind the seat at the bottom?

@@angelesautomotive that makes since, good idea I’ve see what it looks like. Thank you
Did you do anything to brace the seat along the front as you did in welding the back?
No, just boxed in and welded the back of the seat frames together, makes it rigid enough, wouldnt be able to install the seat material and foam if you weld the front of the seat frames together

How did you get the seat cover to fit over the upper tabs @ 6:48 ? Thanks

Yes, the top of the backseat touches the back of cab
Does this not put a lot of strain at the “front passenger” side of the middle seat? Seeing as it’s only connected at the back does it not sag?
How did you keep the seat back from folding down did you weld them up my seat back flops there's nothing to lock it
You ever figure this out? Debating on doing this swap soon.
@phillipa7595 once you build that center bracket like he shows the seats won't fold anymore! They're bolted to that bracket from the factory so once you box it in they don't move! I did mine 2 weekends ago and I love it
Where you located? And do you do this for people?
Ever think about making custom kits/brackets for this?
Im in SW kansas, yea ive made a few for others in my area
is this a c10 frame or tahoe chasis
Do you know if it works in obs chevy?
Have you done this in a ‘64 c10?
What did you do with the black seat that was in the truck at the front of the video?
Is the crewcab seat much different than a Tahoe seat besides the Tahoe bottoms folding forward? I have one from a 17 Tahoe.
I have bucket seat rails attached to the original seat bracket. Can it still work?
Where did u weld the 1 inch metal to connect the 2?
At 5:28 in the video it shows what part of the bracket to weld a 1" wide spacer to connect the seat rails together
Hey I was wondering could I pay you to fab a seat like yours for me just let me know thanks
How’s the space on the sides do you lose a lot of crap
Do the back of the seat lock in place?
Any pics of how you did the seat belts?
I bought new seat belts from LMC installed in the factory locations
Awesome, have you done it on an chevy obs?
Nope
Do you think I could do this but on my 95 single cab?
Depends on how the seats mount to the cab, but im sure you can fab up a mount to make it fit
I wonder if this works with 2010 Tahoe 2nd row seats.
Does this move the steering wheel to the driver alignment any?
Would you do this for a 90s obs chevy single cab
Have you installed a seat like this into a 67-72 C10?
Where are you? Would you be willing to build one of these for me? I’d just send to the frames and pay shipping back
Is this the same for 07-13 rear seats. Are they any different.
07-13 seats are different
Will it still work with a couple modifications I already bought the seat unfortunately
Yea i have a friend that used one of those seats in his, he had to shim it up alot more in the front so that it would lean back more
@@angelesautomotive thank you so much ill let you know how it turns out.
Interested in building and shipping a seat?
How much would you charge to do mine for me?
What portion of the brackets did you cut off?
At 2:15 in the video tells you what bracket to cut off, they are the seat mounting brackets that are not used, also have to trim some of the c10 slide rail brackets
Interested in selling that black seat
Do you have a shop
Im in the process of having a shop built, do work out of my garage for now
We’re are you located can you do mine
Southwest Kansas
