By copying the same amps from their previous sims and having 1 or 2 different effects and slapping a popular artist's name on it.
@@ChadKirk lol u rl never tried any of them. Each plugins have their own characteristic. Like the Tosin one have a very bassy rhythm tone, or Plini with such surreal clean and crunch sound

Artist Relations? A&R is Artists and Repertoire (sorry for being pedantic lol)
@@TheBlashMusic Artist Relations is actually much different. A&R is for scouting and landing new artists to be on your roster. Artist relations is acting as a liaison between the artist and the company and making sure their needs are met.
@@5urg3x I know what A&R is, just wasn’t sure you were using the term correctly lol. I just was confused because idk why a plugin company would have an A&R department. The biggest role in A&R is connecting songs/producers/songwriters/etc with Artists and overseeing the creative side of an Artist’s music. A&R is exclusively tied into record labels, publishers, sometimes management companies. What Repertoire does Neural Dsp have? Are they a label?

This video premiered 6 hours ago. I bought the Archetype Petrucci 4 hours ago. I've been using the Archetype Nolly plugin for a long time now. All I can say is, the Archetype Petrucci is THE pinnacle of the Neural DSP Archetype plugins. I'm just blown away.

I was hoping for this after hearing him praise the Neural DSP plug-ins DT used for the bass in their lastest album... but I never thought it would come this soon!

That wish has been said a million times in the last month.
Cantabile works really well in my experience for hosting VSTs. Use it a lot with Fortin Cali suite so I can add a compressor, tubescreamer, reverb (before it got included) etc.

I currently use Blue Cat's Axiom to host any Neural DSP plugins that lack the effects or features I want, or combine features of different plugins (such as the amp in one plugin, and the reverb from another plugin). But it would be great if Neural DSP just release their own software that can house all the pieces from their various plugins so they can be configured the way Amplitube, Guitar Rig, Helix Native, etc., are. I think vast majority of existing customers would gladly pay for such a software (or if they're feeling generous, release it for free). The longer they put this off, the more likely people will have just figured out their own work around and not care anymore, so if they're going to do it, it's better now than later. (But it'll still be nice to not have to open up multiple instances of various NDSP plugins just to use the different pieces of gear. Having them housed in one central software will cut down on CPU/RAM usage.)
Another approach is to release something like a software version of Quad Cortex (basically their version of Helix Native), which you can use to load the different pieces of gear from the plugins you already own., but also contains the various other gear the Quad Cortex offers.
Plugin integration for QC which is the main reason I bought it.
That would be the best feature they could add
@@DirtRacerX only reason i havent replaced my axe fx w a quad cortex is bc i own every plugin so far and i wouldnt be able to drop my usual tones on there!

You know what? The amazing quality of the neural plugins made me feel confident to sell my fractal without hesitation. But it would be even more amazing if they stop it a bit with the archetypes and get more based on real amps like soldano or fortin. A MESA, FENDER OR MARSHALL FOR EXAMPLE! I don't want to sound like this guy or that other guy, I want to have the experience of having the amp of my dreams in front of me and looking for my own tone. I love you Neural. There is a list out there that give you a pretty good idea what these amps are “supposed” to be. Given that I probably haven’t and will likely never play most of the amps they are modeling, it doesn’t matter too much in terms of how close it is to reality but rather does it sound good and get me to where I wanna be.
All I wanted was a Mesa 2c+. Well, this totally does it. Even if it isn't an exact recreation of that amp, it is that amp digitally re-envisioned in a way. The ROOM MIC feature, finally too!

It's annoying having to load 2 instances of Gojira in my DAW just to use the pitch utility presets in conjunction with other tone presets.
I bet much of the code behind this and the pitch pedal in Gojira is the same. Sure, being able to drop it in semitones is convenient but you can pretty much do the same with Gojira by using the pitch pedal and the tuner or a reference note. Or what do you mean exactly?

I completely understand fans of musicians loving their sounds/tones and aspiring to play like them. However, we also hear many of these same artists talk of the importance of staking out our own sound, our own musical or creative territory. I think it's incredibly fun to be able to recreate sounds that beloved artists have spent years seeking and tweaking, I do worry a little that the sheer accessibility of digital tone-recreation means we could be in for a whole raft of imitators who don't just play riffs and scale patterns lifted from their favorite artists, but are able to sound just like that artist right down to the mic positioning.
Obviously, I love DT and John Petrucci to the Moon and back. I'm deeply admiring of how far digital tech can model sound, I'm just thinking out loud.

copycats always existed even before the IR convolution technology. why would you worry now? only the genuine and original people is the people who actually stands out of the rest. things never changes. just its easier but its is stil necessary another thing or sign to be special. this just make the sound designing knowledge faster and surely will help other people journeys

I was really interested in the Tim Henson version and still am because of the Multi-Voicer. But I think I like the Petrucci version better because I love the Doubler and pitch shifter options. I’ve been looking at the Mimiq mini doubler and the Digitech Drop pedal and those two features would save me from having to invest money into either of those pedals at the moment.
Chalk me up as completely surprised about this collaboration, but equally STOKED about it. Snap buying this when I get home ✊

@@NeuralDSP this Transpose Option doesn't exist as a pedal on this plugin. It kinda feels like when Archetype Plini released, it had a different tuner than Nolly, which Nolly later ended up getting. Will the other plugins also get the Transpose feature, or is it just a Archetype Petrucci thing?
@@AngirasDarbha considering that not even all of the plugins are running on the new DSP tech yet that removes the oversampling option, it will either take a while or it won't come at all. At least that is my guess.

NICE! I am waiting for Neural to develop something that offers the entire library of Archetypes as a bundle into an individual's personal and secure cloud space and uses an algorithm to study how each individual user utilizes these tools then "suggests" a custom blend when a user selects the custom patch that can be stored securely for the user and later downloaded to the Quad Cortex. I really hope they are working on this effort!
