  • Beef Rendang is a slow-cooked dish that can be can be prepared in so many ways. This is our take on the spicy and flavorful Malaysian and Indonesian dish.
    INGREDIENTS
    1 kilogram beef
    5-6 cups (1.2-1.44 liters) water
    ¼ cup (60 ml) Knorr liquid seasoning
    8 cloves garlic, peeled
    10 pieces sibujing or sakurab (native shallots)
    1 thumb ginger, peeled and cut into pieces
    1 cinnamon stick
    4 pieces green cardamom
    ½ tablespoon turmeric powder
    ½ tablespoon fish sauce
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    8 pieces chili peppers
    ⅛ cup freshly grated coconut
    1⅔ cups (400 ml) coconut milk
