Finally someone not assuming that you want to make a $5000 per month business out of it and just want enough to feed your own family! Great presentation and just the right size for families! Thanks!
😂😂
I'll take 5k a month lol
🤣🤣🤣 thank you cause those other videos are bullshit lmao
Straight, affordable, common sense approach - thank you for a perfect, simplified overview
awesome video! my 3 year old and I watched this - she has declared that we need to find a rock first! thanks for the tips - Mary 🌺
Josh is s class act.
He's turned me into a obsessive micro green grower.
literally, hes he man, forget everyone youve heard of this is the guy 100
Exactly what I was looking for! Getting ready to harvest my first crop of sunflower microgreens from a to-go container. Worked perfectly!
Stack the trays and drill once !
Yeah, and you can use a piece of cardboard with scotchtape sealing it from the water, to apply pressure even on the outside, because the outside seeds didn't get much if any pressure when the sprouts were growing.
Thank you! I started growing this winter for the first time. It helps with my seasonal depression to see, grow, and eat plants.
That’s what I’m hoping as well! Living in Montana the seasonal depression is bad and I love to grow!
I just started growing sprouts and microgreens. Was surprised that your demo was using the same food prep containers that I also use... got them from Walmart. I don't drill holes but spray 2 times a day with filtered water and my medium is paper towels. I do cover them for 3 days in blackout, and use the lid on top to retain moisture, like a terrarium. I live in north Texas and so far, so good. I do the broccoli seeds for my own consumption, about 5 trays a week. Lots of fun and very little time and effort. Had some fails but lots of helpful UA-cam videos got me back on track. BTW, I don't use a weight or a lamp. Thanks for the video!
I just grow them on the windowsill. No light or weight
Great video. No nonsense, just good info. Thanks for posting it.
Awesome! Have wanted to try micro greens and now I will.
Just wanted to say you nailed the fun and easy part! I really enjoyed the simplicity and you have a great personality for videos.
I love those containers ;) We freeze all sorts of stuff in them because they stack nicely. Now a new use! Good idea
THANK YOU! I have a ton of these already so no need to pay big bucks for big trays. You are awesome.
Great information. Looks soooo simple! Thank you.
Thank you for a very clear and concise explanation. No frills, no fluff. And a Rock! I’ll be busy setting up micro green trays tomorrow 🎉 Gained a new subscriber 😊

Glad I got a laugh from that one. Thanks for watching!
He had me going til the rock! R those on eBay? R they coming from China??? Thanks for the video...growing nasturtiums first.,
Josh, this is a great video! It inspired me (living in an apartment, now) to grow pea microgreens, and now fenugreek. I have a LED lamp setup but fenugreek is also growing very well in a window. Many thanks!
Also, I'm using conventional peas and (organic) fenugreek seed, rather than "seed" stock -- both are working well.
Loved this video!! Straightforward:)
I have been sprouting for a few years, with jars... and then I discovered the drain pipe for peas method, to plant into the garden... instead of planting them, I am just munching away at them, above the lowest arms of each sprout, and they seem to keep growing. Now just to scale up, to make sure a daily dose is available each day... absolutely yummy :) Totally cool to see your racks there dude... when I have the space, one day :)
Brilliant! Thank you!
L💚V it👍the no nonsence approach! It's CLEAR & SIMPLE & THRIFTY🌱🌱🌱👍👍👍💚💚💚and sure looks TASTY😁

I do have a question. Are the seeds that floated after soaking still viable or should they be tossed? Thank You for all you do!!
WoW 🤩👏🏽👏🏽 Thank you very helpful
Dude
Glad I found your channel!!
Nice
wow numnum thank youuu☺️
"Don't worry, everyone knows General Tsao's chicken." LOL love the vids man! FYI, a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the water will eliminate any potential fugal problems.
Pays to read the comments, I am just starting, did not know that. Thanks
Those seeds are HUGE!!!
Just found your channel Josh! New subscriber 🇨🇦 Thanks for sharing your tips and experience!
Nice
Hey, Josh I really loved the video and wanted to get my feet wet in microgreens. I didn't want to spend too much upfront. Eventually, I would love to set up a microgreens business.
This is what I was looking for
Feeling amused! I've been researching ideas on the internet for microgreens today lol!!! Interesting that you don't put them somewhere dark for the first few days... I'm pleased though 'cos that's hassle and I'd forget them lol! Have some soaking for planting tomorrow! thank you Josh!
They are just left out while they germinate. Just normal room light. I only add the lamp after they germinate and I take the top off.
Very great, seems the perfect solution for having freshly grown greens all winter!!! (maybe you could take the music volume down a bit ;-) I'm old) LOL
i like the simplicity mode ty bro other vids made it seem like u need 10k to start lol
Cool
Fantastic video, look forward to watching this with my niece so we can start a setup for her.
what do you do with the soil with remaining root part after harvesting....how to reuse and regrow ?
Cool!
I grow cannabis as well as an outdoor produce garden but during the winter it's difficult to involve the kids in my daily chores. We are growing micro greens for our chickens and my kids are hooked. Thanks for the video!
nice video man..
QUESTING - What is the chance of getting mold or bacteria in that tray?
And if so do you have to throw all out?
Hot soldering iron would be good choice for punching holes..
Hi, thank you for the content! How many times can I harvest?
You literally saved mee:)
Nice, straight forward information. Do we need light any time of the year or for just winter months? What about spring and summer months?
Wow-who knew it was so easy to have fresh greens?!!!
Thank you for posting. I've watched many growing micro greens videos but no one ever says what is done with the soil after harvest. If someone doesn't have a garden outside what is done with the dirt? If it's reused. what is it amended with? How many times (seasons of seed sprouting) can be used before tossing out the soil (?) or adding nutriments? Also, when soaking in water can that water be used to water potted plants rather than tossed down the drain?
I'm going to get a big pack of these aluminum trays that come with aluminum Lids they're pretty durable
Josh, thank you for sharing the awesome trick. Can I use jute mat instead of soil with this method?
Great video! How do you keep microgreens fresh if you purchase at a market and it in soil?
Great video!
Question... while they are covered with the rock... you need to add watter?
Hi Josh, my name is Nada. I really enjoyed your video, you explained very clearly, all I need to do is do it my self. Thank you so much for sharing. Enjoy your day! -:)
Amazing training !!!.liked it ....
Kind request to save some water :-)
Can we use solar lights for this ?
Thanks ..great work..
Great video! I've been thinking about growing some microgreens inside and this video just showed me how easy it is. Will definitely give it a try now! Love that desk lamp BTW. Where is it from?
Oh I have no idea. I feel like we have had it for a while.
Once you cut the greens, what do you do with the seeds. Compost?
I failed to sprout my wheat grains I used water only,I will try your way, thanks.
Dude that s be vicious hose you have!🤣
Love it! Thank you!!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
can you reuse the potting mix?
Quick question: in the initial germination stage, do you need to keep the daylight on them? Or is the light only needed afterward?
Josh love the video. I've been overcomplicating the process. Do you find any value in sanitizing the seeds or soil with hydrogen peroxide during soaking or planting? I would love to minimize the need to dilute small batches of food grade 30% hydrogen peroxide.
Can you do this without the lamp - just window light? Would you use the rock for radishes as well? So you don't water until day 3, is the correct?
