    This sounds much better than the "Ball" canning jar method. I hate my tap water so I won't use it for rinsing the seeds twice a day. A lot of bottled or filtered water!!!! The trays and food are already ordered and a thumbs up for the seemingly better water saving technique!!! Thank you very much for your video and the demo. Microgreens are indeed very nutritional. However, in hydroponic systems, plants derive all their essential nutrients from the nutrient solution. The nutrients are absorbed through the plant's root system and are subsequently utilized for various metabolic processes, growth, and development. While it's challenging to provide an exact percentage, as it depends on specific variables, a substantial portion of the nutritional content in a hydroponically grown sprout comes from the nutrients in the solution. So does this mean if the solution is made up of synthetic chemicals, we are literally eating chemicalized nutrients? Kindly correct me if I am wrong. Thank you for your enlightenment.

    It seems once the seed germinated you didn't use any kind of transparent cover with holes to hold moisture and for transpiration. When I did it seemed my seedlings were getting dry. Can you please tell what was the ambient temperature of the germination room. Thanking you in advance.

    Just a recommendation to you: instead of soaking the seeds, lightly spray a bamboo paper towel (cut to fit the tray) and sprinkle the dry seeds evenly. The moist paper towel will keep them in place. Then spray lightly a few times a day. Just an alternate up to around 2:30 in the video

    • @FineArtofCooking

      Thank you for sharing your idea. I've never used bamboo paper towel before and I'm curious.

    • @knightsofneeech
      @knightsofneeech 3 роки тому

      @@FineArtofCooking I like it because the seeds grow right through it and seem to cling to the fibers in the bamboo mat. Also when you are ready to harvest you can pull the entire mat, with the sprouts up and cut them evenly. You can even pull them straight from the mat and still eat the roots. Have fun!

      @@optobeagle hello yes I think it's labeled the reusable kind. It's on a roll just like paper towels. Once the sprouts grow you cannot re cut them. So no water added in the bottom trays? If not do i also need to clean the bottom trays of moisture daily so it doesnt grow bacteria and mold?

    Thank you for posting this educational video. It is clear and concise. Please consider not adding music in future videos as it makes it more difficult to hear what you are saying. 🙏… ❤️

    You say you grow them Hydroponically, do you use a hydro solution or just water? I like your mesh screen method, I used the paper towel method with mixed results. I think the paper may have chemical on them.

    The seeds that didn’t germinate can be eaten? Do you water everyday twice a day right? Thx.

    I have been sprouting for a few years in a double layer sprouting dish. I only kept seeds in the dark for a day and then use my sink sprayer to spray them 2 times a day and drain well. They turn out great but I wanted a larger scale. So I tried your method on the larger trays and did the 5 day dark period and they are spindly and maybe didn't get enough water from just spritzing. Can I shorten the dark out period to like 2 days and spray with the sink sprayer and drain? Thanks for any advice!

    Hello…. May I ask about the count of the plastic canvass. Is it 7 counts? 14? 16 count? Also, what is the difference between the broccoli seeds and the microgreens? Thank you so much for your very kind reply. I would like to do it just like you did. no messing! Thank you so much for your very clear presentation.

      I ordered from one of the links. Turned out to be a #7 which is way too big. Did you find what count worked?
