***IMPORTANT NOTE*** to anyone wanting to bypass the oil injection on any 2-stroke engine. Be sure to consult a factory service manual first. Some have a slinger ring that will keep pre-mix from getting to one of your main crank bearings and this will cause engine failure in the long run.
That's why I say it's not a good idea people have been letting the tank run dry pre mixing and destroying there engine because of now sucking air causing a lean condition

Honesty i was amazed that this 6x6 fired right up I looked half the day for a dip stick so i could check the oil.. lmbo .. then it finally dawned on me... the flat head should have been my first clue .. is this a rotary motor? Polaris bigboss 400 2 stroke 6x6 chain drive .. cant wait to drive it .. what a machine.. but im takeing my time to besure i dont blast something like thw motor or trans just cus ive missed something that would be easy to fix

I only ask because I have a cracked tank and my automatic oiler gets stuck open if you give it more than half throttle. I checked the cable, its not that. It is the little control arm on the pump that gets stuck.
I got an old yamaha 1970, and somebody really botched up the oil pump removal, theres tons of nasty aluminum slag and a jagged hole where the pump once was, and despite there being NO oil reservoir, or any lines going to the area, oil shoots out of the aforementioned jagged hole when I kick it over! I'm not sure how I am going to solve this problem.
Someone removed the oil pump on my 73 G5 and installed a plate and gasket over the hole. Also put a bolt in the place of banjo fitting by the carb. Will this be work OK?
Sorry but I can’t understand why your method of putting a small amount of oil in the pump and recirculating it is any better?? Not being a jerk here just don’t want to spend a bunch of money on a pump I may not need!

Is that what all the plastic gears look like? On the back of mine there is a little 2 teeth plastic gear. Its smaller and does not look like that Someone already cut the wires and remover the oil pump so putting it back to stock is not an option for me at this point. It's a suzuki ax100. An import bike for the us and I'm not going to spend the time or money on new parts when I only paid 100 for the bike in the first place. I'm thinking of just doing what you showed filling the tube with oil. Mines a little different but I think I can make it work. not really many ways to test easily... id kick the bike over with pre-mix and unhook the oil pump from the carburetor... let the bike idle and see if the pump, well- pumps lol!

its not it just keeps the pump from running dry as i said in the video bypassing this pump is not a good idea and will cause engine damage this engines rotary valve requires the pump with out is over time you WILL destory it
@@2strokeguru as a kid back in the late 90s, I had a KE100 that I bought (very very used) that came without the oil tank fitted so I proceeded to simply mix the oil in the gas and thought all would be fine. A few weeks later my rotary valve seized from what I assumed was lack of lubrication from the oil pump and it was a hell of a job to free it up and remove it.

@@bizb8742 this bike is not a motorcross bike. Premixing this bike has no benefits especially for on road use and this bike requires a 24 to 1 oil ratio so you can't even share motorcross Premix because it is a completely different ratio and Premix doesn't make it easier
hi Kevin, I've got a Kawasaki kc100 which is running with quite a lot of blue smoke under throttle (smells of 2 stroke and not crankcase oil). I've tried adjusting the oiler to under oil but it's still very smokey and frequently fouls the plug because of it. how would you go about remedying this? thanks

I did that quite recently and it did decrease the smoke significantly after cleaning but the oiler is almost definitely over-oiling as the smoke quite quickly built back up and I'm fairly certain it's causing the spark plug to foul. how bad an idea is it to bypass the oiler entirely? also, would the oil buildup in the exhaust cause the plug to foul? thanks for all the help, your videos are excellent
This process shouldn't be done atall bypassing the auto lube will destroy the rotary valve and right side main bearing mc1 is not a motorcross bike and it needs the auto lube

@@will_h10 no need just prime the pump i had oil pump failure 1 time in 30years the pump over oiled smoke was pouring out the exhaust and i went through half a tank of oil overnight they are very reliable

Hi i have a ke100 i just got and it will start and run for a little while until i stop then wont start back i noticed the plug next the carb was missing could it have been from carb getting to much air?
Replace the plug and try that first in most cases its the plug check and make sure its getting the fuel it needs if your oil system is still hooked up and you are running premix WHICH IS BAD FOR THESE ENGINES oil foul the plug the automatic oiler is the best way to go
@@2strokeguru I've been doing it for years on a scrambler 400 and never had a problem with it. This oil pump is different it drives of a metal gear that get lubricated from the oil in the gas

No the pump is required rotary valve engine need the pump to lube the rotory valve bypass oil system will damage engine rotary engines are the only engine you really need to auto lube for

Auto lube is the best replace it the rotary valve engine needs it for proper lubrication for the rotary valve

Nothing just note that deleting the oil pump will cause engine damage of thime slow death rotary valve and right crankshaft bearing

Yes this is how to bypass it however it will cause damage over time
Is buying a used one off of ebay a pretty safe bet? I'm just worried I'd get another one that sticks

Im also fouling out plugs so drained my oil tank and just ran 30:l premix will that be efficient for disabling it?
Can I just simply put pre-mixed fuel (50:1) in the oil tank so that I do not have to try to disable oil injection?
No you will blow up the engine 50 to 1 is for chainsaw and only oil goes in the oil tank

Check and clean the exhaust baffle typically it's not over oiling it's an exhaust that's starting to plug up
Question; If you fill the hose loop with a little oil, and don"t hook up the throttle cable, how well the oil move through the hose? Just sayin.

Auto lube lubes the 1st man bearing

Check your exhaust tip if the clog up it will cause excess smoke

Why cant you just remove the pump? Its only 2 screws holding it on right?
There's more to it than that and bypassing or removing the oil pump will cause engine damage

My problem is my cable doesnt retract it just whiskey throttles. Like there isnt enough spring tension to retract it from the carburetor
Pull the cable and inspect make sure it moves free same with the oiler cable

This is my first bike I got it as a project cleaned carbs n it ran then started acting up fouling plugs so I thought maybe injector wasn't working
